In general it is a nice hotel. Things i liked: Good location close to airport, accept foreigners, clean, nice breakfast (they even managed to get us a coffee sachets), view is not bad (high floor), rooms are warm and beds are comfortable. Thinks i found little disappoint - check-in took forever. One lady started checking us in, than another took over and was asking to show the same codes again. Main disappointment however was the SPA. We were told by Ctrip this hotel has a SPA (we asked ctrip to confirm with hotel), but when we arrived we were told SPA is not operational and to make things worsts - the hotel didnt have hot water. The water in the bathroom was around 20 degrees warm maybe - not warm enough to venture into shower. I eventually filled up half of the bath with this semi warm water and added 4-5 kettles of boiled water to get the temperature bit higher - before i could actually wash myself.

When we came to Qinghai Province to travel, we went to the east to play, and stayed in the hotel. This hotel looks tall and luxurious, and the waiter’s attitude is good. They also give free breakfast, look at pictures and talk, go in the room, and light. Bright, very clean, the quilt has no peculiar smell, and it is clean. It is more comfortable to watch TV when you lie in bed at night. Toiletries are prepared in place, and the provision is good. 24 hours of hot water, you don’t have to be afraid of the cold at night. The room is warm and super awesome. I like it very much, strong! recommend!

Pros: 1) Location right beside train station and bus station. 2) Many eateries around the hotel 3) Room is clean and spacious Cons: 1) No aircon. I know it is cool during summer in Xining as well but i think it is a basic requirement for aircon in a hotel. A fan is provided but i think it is not a welcome sight for a hotel with a fan.

The manager of this hotel sally was amazing. She speaks fantastic english and helped us in directions, picking up from airport, booking the trains, and when we lost our baggage in the Airport she went out of her way to help, in alloting the rooms, 10 Star service by her. amazing person and would love to visit. this charming city again and stay in the same Hotel. Only stayed one night, but the hotel was great, the staff were helpful, and the ginger tea they give as a welcome drink was lovely. Comfy bed and hot shower are always great. The little toiletries were good quality as well. While I may not go back to Xining again, I would definitely stay at a Hampton by Hilton again. 😀
