I loved the location and the architecture, both external and internal, of the hotel. The staff and the room service were very good. The problem, in my experience was the infiltration of smoke on a regular basis from the garden room, which is centrally located in the hotel and smoking is allowed in there. Also, smoke filters up from the sidewalk café, that lines, the front of the hotel. That sidewalk café is charming in the daytime, and rather disco-like at night up until 11 PM. It is a hopping place with plenty of smoke rising up to the rooms. I had a charming, double bed room with two French door balconies! Lovely to look out during the day onto Epidamn Bulevardi. I had a good location for hearing the Mosque calls a couple of times a day, at least, and the hound dog howlings, in response to it. I will say that I was there during the last week of Ramadan so the people on the sidewalk across the street were apparently fasting during the day and eating and convivializing all night. The Hotel Restaurant was constantly a place where I was breathing smoke, because it is located between the sidewalk Café and the garden room, where they allow smoking. Multiple times I got up from my table when across to the garden room and close the door to minimize the smoke infiltration . As an American, I will say that I have been spoiled, since restaurants there do not allow smoking.

It is a hopping place with plenty of smoke rising up to the rooms. I had a charming, double bed room with two French door balconies! Lovely to look out during the day onto Epidamn Bulevardi. I had a good location for hearing the Mosque calls a couple of times a day, at least, and the hound dog howlings, in response to it. I will say that I was there during the last week of Ramadan so the people on the sidewalk across the street were apparently fasting during the day and eating and convivializing all night. The Hotel Restaurant was constantly a place where I was breathing smoke, because it is located between the sidewalk Café and the garden room, where they allow smoking. Multiple times I got up from my table when across to the garden room and close the door to minimize the smoke infiltration . As an American, I will say that I have been spoiled, since restaurants there do not allow smoking.
