After arriving in Taiyuan on the first day, I spent the afternoon and evening directly at the hotel. The hotel's own restaurant is very good, with authentic Shanxi cuisine. Good hotel occupying 2 floors of a commercial building in the city. Easy access to pedestrian mall, eateries and food stalls right in front of hotel. Our room was even equipped with a small washing machine! Ample supply of drinking water much appreciated. Housekeeping staff number 072 was courteous and helpful keeping our 3 rooms clean and well kept. Only setback to this hotel is no porterage nor ramp available and we had to carry our big bags up the steps to the main lobby.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. Location is near airport so yes, you can hear the planes but it does not irritate you at all. Rooms were clean and really no smoking what is very rear in China. Breakfast was just amazing! There was a huge choise of European food and it was very important to us because we were traveling with different age of kids and wanted to be sure they will enjoy breakfast. Fruits, coffee, juice and great kitchen! Well done!

The room is of medium size and has a wide view outside the window. There is a humidifier in the room to relieve the dry northern air. Although the bathroom equipment is a bit old, it is well maintained and relatively easy to use. The room service is attentive and thoughtful, with handwritten reminders every day and snacks provided every day, which is very warm.
