Sokcho-si Homestays

I stayed for 3 nights with 4 sisters. The top floor pool is a bit expensive but recommended Elbe is a disabled person, very slow and small. It's 10,000 won, so I have to wait again many times. I was waiting for Elbe. Other amenities are generally satisfactory

The location is the best. The view is very good. You can see the sunrise from the room. It is within 10 minutes walk to the central market and is convenient to use restaurants and convenience stores on the first floor of the building. There is no reception, but parking and check-in are easy. Microwave in the room. Hair dryer. TV. refrigerator. Kitchen (with cooking tower including tableware), coffee pot, shampoo are available. However!!! It was a lot of disappointment in cleanliness. There was hair and X hair on the floor and shelves on the bed. Dust management such as tables was not maintained. And above all, the bathroom is not clean. When the toilet was stinging and the lighting in the bathroom broke down, it was dark. * There are unnecessary props (frames and harmony, etc.), giving a bad impression. There is no intention to visit again.

Hotel location is so good The condition is also the best ㅠㅠ It's off-season, so I stay comfortably at a very cheap price with a good view and a spa. The sofa and bed were so comfortable that I didn't come out after I entered the hostel. The bathroom is clean and so good It was better because there were basic items such as wine openers, pots, spoons, wine glasses. It's a bit unfortunate that the trash has to be thrown away, but the hostel is very good

This guesthouse is located in the centre of Sokcho The guesthouse is located at 1 of the city's main shopping streets. If you come by car,park it at the backside at a very affordable price. The reception was very friendly, the owners both speak good English. We had a spacious clean room, basic furnished,with a quite hard bed and a table, and a desk with a stick There are enough stop contacts ( just 220V ) Good to stay a few nights,and for excursions. Bathroom Light bedroom with a washboard, toilet and shower. There is good WiFi access, and there are 2 computers to make use of. Also, guests can make use of the washing machine free of charge. Breakfast Cozy room to stay Breakfast is limited You can make a bread with jam. , and take coffee / tea or orange juice Normally, you are cleaning your own dressing and cleaning after use There is a chance to warm up your own noodles / hot meal. Supermarket short walk (left) The owners are friendly and very helpful, and you like to give tips about transport, somewhere ect food.

There are convenience stores and hop house restaurants in front and back. I chose the beach right in front of me. The room I chose has a mini swimming pool, so it's private. You have to know that the swimming pool will be operated from June !!! It was great to relax with a day's fatigue while spaing! It's close to the city and the street, so it didn't exceed 25 minutes anywhere! It's perfect to go to Yeonggeumjeong next door, watch the sunrise, and walk! It's good to spread a mat on the beach, eat snacks and play in the water!

Juha is the perfect host. Prior to arrival, he responded promptly to all my queries & picked us from the bus terminal punctually. He gave spot on recommendations on where to eat & what to see & how to get to these. Juha speaks good English too. The lady who assisted him was also very helpful friendly and polite. The room we had was clean, spacious and very comfortable & has a small pantry with induction hob, electric kettle ,fridge & some cutlery and crockery. Bed linen is crisp and nicely ironed & towels were clean and fluffy. Location is nearer to the countryside so is more pleasant and peaceful but it’s convenient: bus stop is about 5mins walk away & it takes about 15 minutes by bus to the Mt Seorak National Park. An Italian Restaurant is less than 5 minutes walk away and there’s a Korean grill pork & beef restaurant about 10-12 minutes walk from Casa Seorak. There’s a small convenience store and a sashimi center ( with a few small local restaurants selling live seafood for selection & preparation sashimi style) about 15-20 minutes walk away. Breakfast is nicely done & includes juice, plain toast with jam and butter or French toast, fruits & salad & eggs. There’s on site roasted coffee beans, grinder & accessories for making hand-dripped coffee in the room. Stayed 4 nights and will be back if we visit Sokcho & Mt Seorak National Park again.

This small guest house is really nice, James is very welcome, always laughing and makes us feel comfortable. he has given us several advice on the different places to visit. his welcome is very warm, The rooms are quite clean, it's warm enough in winter, but as the heating is on the ground you can't adjust it by room. Even if it's a little hot, we were happy to get there after a long ice day! The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. Thank you, James ! Bruno and Sandrine
