You can see the Dafo Temple from the front window, and the ancient city dwellings from the back window. The view is quite good. Stayed for one more night, and it rained on the second night. It was very comfortable to open the window to listen to the sound of rain at night. I was traveling alone, and La Zheng and Uncle Dawa were very friendly and enthusiastic throughout the whole process, picking up and dropping off the trip, recommending restaurants and attractions, and helping to avoid pits and lightning. The whole experience is very comfortable. I originally planned to change the hotel experience after staying for one day. It was so comfortable to stay for another night. This B&B for Cantonese people in Shangri-La is easier to find when entering from Moonlight Plaza. The reason I chose this store was because I saw the courtyard. But there is nothing to see in the courtyard in winter. Their house does not include breakfast. I chose a room without air conditioning. It is cold in winter and there is an electric mattress for heating. Sound insulation is not good. The bathroom is added at the back, facing the bed. Disposable toiletries and toilet seats are available. PS: I deliberately changed to different hotels in the ancient city. I still strongly recommend friends who come here for the first time to experience Lexi. The location is easy to find, breakfast is included, and you can see the panoramic view of the Moon Ancient City. Finally, the labels of the two hotels are attached. The overall experience of Lexi is very good. It is not only the service facilities but also the handwritten check-in letter that deserves praise.

This is essentially an inn that is plush in some renovation details but severely lacks warmth. The entire reception and dining area is frigidly cold. Checking into the room, it was so icy we couldn't even take a rest in it. As we headed out to get a late lunch, we asked the lady if they had portable heaters for the night. She said she had just turned on the floor heating and the room should be warmer when we get back. When we returned about 3 hours later, it was still uncomfortably chilly as cold air was seeping through the gap under the door and gliding along the marble flooring into the timber floor where the underlay heating was. The whole design is just wrong and unsuitable for the climate. The disposable towels are a joke! Imagine being in a cold room and having to dry off with a thin piece of paper towel the size of an A3 paper. Everything was damp and soggy including myself. Luckily we were given proper towels the next day after we asked. The first day experience was so bad we were considering leaving the next day. However, we know the innkeeper and family are trying their best and it's not so bad once the room warmed up. A few improvements would really help especially during the winter months: 1. Floor heating must be turned on at least 6 hours before guests check in. 2. Proper bath towels are essential. 3. A thick rug on the marble floor from the door to the timber floor. 4. Try to keep the common space warm (might be difficult given the huge double volume space).

I am a Northeastern person and shivering from the cold. But this one is not cold at all, it is very warm! There is an electric heater. Yunnan is too dry, but this store also has a humidifier! When we asked the housekeeper, he didn't give us advice just to make money. He actually recommended our itinerary from the bottom of his heart. The location of this small guest house is awesome, a few mins walk and you're at the main pedestrian street. You do live in the old town but it's not too noisy which is great. I stayed in the cheapest double bedroom which I can only recommend if you're on a budget - it's small but has everything you need. The only problem is you'd better not open your curtains because the room is in front of the small garden/area where every guest can stay which means it can get a little noisy sometimes and everyone can look into your room, so I stayed in a rather dark place. If you wanna enjoy the city and are on a low budget, it's still not bad.
