Rezen Retreat(Shanghai Sanjia Xintiandi Tourism Resort)

I stayed at Licheng Villa during a transit in Pudong. The overall feeling was very satisfactory👍🏻 Ancient style buildings, century-old stage lintels, the Chuanyang River in front of the door, and green grass around, which are very suitable for leisurely strolls and enjoying the fresh air in the suburbs. The front desk lady's service was very good. The express delivery sent to the hotel was received responsibly, enthusiastically, and reassuringly. The breakfast was also good, the room was large and clean, although it was not a star hotel, it exceeded the star level!

Let me first talk about what everyone is generally concerned about: the new hotel opened in 2023, the facilities and services are impeccable, I think they are all 5-star. I was picked up and dropped off by a free car, and my flight was at 5:30pm, and I could check out late. What I want to talk about are other special places. It is a very unique courtyard of Jiangnan Hui-style architecture, with white walls and green tiles, horse head walls, archways, and stages, some of which are even hundreds of years old and have a mottled history. It is in a tourist park, and there is also a former residence of Hu Shi inside. I stayed there for a day, and it happened to be cloudy, night, and sunny. I took a lot of photos with my iPhone. These buildings themselves are historical relics. There are all kinds of fish, insects, flowers and plants on the wood carvings, dragons, phoenixes, (happy) birds, fish, elephants, unicorns, deer (lu), and fortune (bats). There are various modes, such as nine dragons playing with pearls, nine lions rolling beads, double dragons playing with pearls, dragons and phoenixes, and both fortune (bats) and longevity (peach). Friends who are interested in architecture or traditional culture and photography will linger here.
