Excellent if you are on a budget better than Rosin Inn which is brits tend to go the room worked out at £45 per night for a family of four plus you get free buffet breakfast food nice hot and cold food and hot and cold drinks fruit and yogurts scrambled eggs bacon everything is their no parking fee we didn’t pay a resort fee either staff lovlely twice my son put an egg in the microwave and it exploded they never complained room spotless free shuttles to both Disney and universal

Much better than 1st time. Hotel is under remodel.. They just finished their pool and it looks great.. They're working on the roof. The rooms still need some work. But they are coming a long way. Price is right. There is a deposit which is I believe $50. You do get it back and roughly about 7 to 10 days depending on your credit card. It is not pet friendly unless you have a service dog. Hotel is right before the Orlando health Doctor Phillips. Rooms come with a microwave and a Mini refrigerator. They do serve a breakfast that you must eat out front. You cannot take it back to your room. All their handicapped rooms or on the 1st floor.

Double trees always a nice hotel to stay at and the free cookies and check in or whenever you ask are always a delightful treat. For this day we found that there was really nothing around the hotel itself as far as other restaurant choices although it’s very close to universal and they have a shuttle bus which was convenient, we ended up moving to a location nearby that had many more restaurants around, the rooms were clean the pool areas. Nice the restaurants food was good although a little pricey if you would like to use the pool areas, I think this could be an excellent choice.

We were greeted by Franciely she was great and she took care of us and made sure we were well attended. We got a couple of frozen drinks and mixed drinks and they tasted so good! I highly recommend swinging by this bar and enjoying the fun in the sun and the great people!

I wish I had more nice things to say about our visit to Rosen Shingle Creek. Overall it was a nice stay, but little negatives piled up throughout, resulting in this average review. I brought my family along with me for a very large conference being held at the Orlando Convention Center, and the RSC was an official conference hotel, so many attendees were staying here. PROS . The staff! Overall, wonderful, friendly, engaging and responsive. Shout out to Heather and Mike at the Cat-Tails bar and poolside service. We had an Amazon Fresh order scheduled (there is a small fridge in the room) and the bell stand delivered it within 5 minutes of us requesting it. My mom and niece were also staying at the hotel, and the front desk attendant thoughtfully placed our rooms right next to each other. . Conference management. We had a great conference rate and the acknowledgment of our (significant) presence was thoughtful. Overall, the team was well prepared for several hundred attendees moving around the property. CONS . Rooms NOT that family friendly. I have a real issue with hotel bathroom designs that aren’t accessible for kids. I had to drag the ottoman into the bathroom area so my youngest could reach the sink. A huge leather ottoman in the bathroom is not ideal. . Substandard housekeeping. I asked for laundry bags from our service provider and was told they weren’t available. She pressured us out of our room one day saying she was trying to finish her shift early and upset my niece to the point of tears. Another morning, we had privacy lock and sign on and they were knocking at 8:30 to come in. It all felt very disconnected. . The Food. The biggest disappointment was that a resort this size, and a Universal Studios property, was such a let-down when it came to food. If you have any food allergy whatsoever, don’t stay here. The RSC makes little to no accommodation for food allergy or intolerance, which is very surprising in this day and age. My husband is celiac and other than FRENCH FRIES and VEGETABLES was extremely restricted in his food options. Only one restaurant was able to offer him gluten free bread for a burger. Food allergies are more and more common, it is unreasonable that RSC was lacking in its accommodations. In comparison to Disney properties where almost anything can be accommodated for food allergies, it was a glaring difference. Food options for children were also limited and unhealthy. After three days of eating cereal, French fries, and cardboard pizza, my kids were desperate for a freaking hot dog. None of the seven restaurants offered such a thing, but I was told they were available at the golf course snack stand. So I walk all the way out there to get three hot dogs and they were…sold out of hot dogs. Our Amazon Fresh delivery was a godsend, and there’s a Publix market at the end of the (very long) resort drive. . Universal partner means what?? We stayed here before our cruise. We flew in the day before and took the shuttle from the airport. We checked in early and Gabi at the front desk was wonderful. She got us checked in quickly and signed up for the airport shuttle for the next morning. Our room was nice and clean. The beds slept well. We could hear planes taking off and landing, but this is an airport hotel, so we expected that. We were happy to find out that there was a local area shuttle, which was super helpful as we had to make a Walgreens run. Gabi was very helpful in answering all of our crazy questions and had such a great attitude, we enjoyed talking to her. Breakfast was the usual Home2 variety, but rather than having to heat up the sandwiches in the microwave, they were in a heat box, which was a nice change. We enjoyed our brief stay!

Housekeeping and staff were excellent. The facilities are very nice and comfortable. The breakfasts were very good and are excellent to save money available for stay. The only thing I have to criticize is that the window panes were painted (frosted or something like that). This makes the place ugly, detracts from its elegance and does not allow one to appreciate the landscape. On the other hand, they should have some television channels in Spanish, since there are many Latinos who visit Florida.

When we first tried to check in there was a problem with the system as several of my credit cards didn't work even though they were all good. This was for a deposit. The woman who checked us in was very nice. One card finally worked. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The next morning and every morning the breakfast was very good. We were staying here to go to Daytona International Speedway two days in a row. I found that although it is the Orlando area it is still cheaper than staying closer to Daytona. It is only an hour drive to Daytona from there. The first night we returned to the hotel about 3:30AM and found that our room door was not closed all the way and therefore unlocked. I called the desk right away to report it. Luckily nothing was missing. The next day we went back to the track (Saturday). Upon returning that night just before midnight we found our key cards didn't work. We went around to the front door. The inside door was locked, I couldn't see anyone at the desk and there was no sign directing you to the intercom on wall which I didn't notice. I tapped on door. My wife noticed the intercom after that. The woman at the desk spoke to us through it. I told her our key cards were not working. She asked if we were staying there after that. I said yes. She let us in and blamed us for the card problem because my wife put her phone on the desk saying we put the cards by our phones. I pointed out that my card was in my wallet and no where near my phone. She gave us new cards. She was very rude in my opinion. When we got to our room it was not made up with no towels replaced. We checked out the next morning.

Great hotel, convenient location in walking distance to some airport car rentals. Very clean with style decor. Big flat screen in the room, all dove washing liquids (shampoo, body wash, conditioner, body lotion). Variety of food for free breakfast. Gas station just next to hotel, which makes it convenient to refuel your rental car before returning
