Villa Dominikku

Villa Dominikku

Negombo|2.82km from city center
It is a small and beautiful hotel. Arrived at the hotel around 9 pm, the boss had waited there and welcomed us warmly, gave us a local very special sour and sweet drink, and then patiently introduced us to the relevant information. The layout of the homestay is very beautiful. The water pressure and water temperature are very suitable when taking a bath. There is also a small balcony where no mosquitoes are encountered. Going downstairs at night, the sound in the living room is playing music, so emotional! ! ! Walking in the hotel garden, with the lights, sitting on the rocking chair, feeling the breeze, very comfortable ~ The breakfast time was agreed, but it was 20 minutes late and we were not urged. When we arrived at the restaurant, the proprietress brought the breakfast up, warm, and the boss patiently and politely introduced us to each kind of food. Very rich breakfast, you can choose black tea or coffee, with drinking water and fruit drinks, sausage and flown fried eggs, I love it! Local specialties of pasta and fruit, mainly sweet, roasted toast, as well as jam and butter, don't be too perfect ~ The boss and the proprietress get along very comfortable, and the speech behavior makes people feel very friendly and enthusiastic. When we left, the driver and we also said that we felt that the boss was very good and very polite. Unfortunately, I chose to stay in Negombo for one night. I am very sorry. I hope I can come to Sri Lanka again in the future and stay in this hotel for a few more nights. This hotel has a good start for my trip, very happy 😄

Hotel Leaf on Lagoon

Hotel Leaf on Lagoon

Negombo|2.2km from city center
I booked this hotel because the airport was near, and I checked in at midnight. The boss was very enthusiastic. The waiter was sweaty and took 2 towels from a pile of towels for us. In the dim light of the room, we found that the sheets and towels were dirty, and we slept without taking off our clothes. The room is very big, the bathroom door cannot be locked, it leads to another door, it is a bit broken, others can come in our bathroom from the outside! Before 5 o'clock in the morning to catch the plane, we two girls each moved more than 30 kilograms of luggage from the top floor in the dark. We woke up the staff when we couldn’t get a taxi. It turned out that we had already called a taxi for us yesterday. We were shocked when we saw a tuk-tuk with three wheels, and the price doubled. We didn’t want to because we couldn’t fit our luggage and safety reasons. After the ride, the driver left angrily and said: You are rich, but our country is poor. We were very uncomfortable. The hotel's mistake did not inform us of the price and the price of the taxi, which caused the driver to misunderstand. After that, the hotel has been unable to help me call a car or arrange a car to go to the airport. When the plane is about to be delayed, we finally found a car on the side of the dark road, which is a blessing in misfortune. It is recommended not to stay in an informal hotel if the flight is early, in case the travel cannot be guaranteed, it will be very troublesome.

Hive 68 - Hotel and Resorts (Negombo)

Negombo|0.14km from St. Mary's Church
Hive 68 at Negombo !! is one experience I shall remember and cherish. Located in the midst of the town of Negombo, it has its advantage of being close to the airport. So, if you are getting in or getting out you could consider planning your stay here accordingly and you’d be pleased with it. About the hotel and its rooms. It’s more of a Bed and Breakfast concept. Ideal for solo or couple travellers. With kids too small I’d not recommend it.  Rooms are neat, well-spaced with decent and clean washrooms. Each room has its own mini veranda with a small sit out, overlooking the lagoon stream, the village and the beautiful St Mary church. The décor all over is kept simple, yet elegant in its own way. Request for room service as per your need and the staff, polite and very hospitable will take care of it. The beauty of Sri Lanka is experienced with the country and its people. To understand this, it is best witnessed. The morning breakfast isn’t of the buffet type, with time they could put it up as an option. You are individually served a fruit platter with a local fresh fruit juice followed by your choice of eggs, accompanied with sausages, bacon, bread toast and coffee or tea. A small yet decent portion to start off your day. The restaurant has a basic menu with mainly a mix of continental and Sri Lankan food. For drinks the local Beer and wine is a good option.A local curry rice is what I’d suggest to include as I found it missing, given the town feel. The portions again are sumptuous and filling. For its location one can explore around the town with ease. Local sight-seeing includes many churches, few temples, a fish market and a beach with a lot of tourist friendly restaurants. Sharing a few photographs of the space. Hope the above helps in choosing your stay, happy holidays and happy touring.

Airport Layover B&B
4.1/511 Reviews
It's close to the airport. It may be convenient for a little stay due to time. But there are no shops or buses nearby. Nearby bus stop or train station It is difficult to walk without using a taxi or tuk-tuk. There are no amenities. I need to bring it. The room only has a rack, a chair, and a trash can for hanging clothes. There is breakfast. Food is to be eaten on the roof terrace. Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 cuisine milk rice, coconut 🥥 used samball served. It was spicy but very delicious. Hotel tuk 🏨 I think the tuk is expensive. I had money troubles. I went shopping at the place I asked for, and it took a long time because the cash register was crowded. I was charged an astonishing amount. ,, I asked why, but the answer was difficult to understand. A little disappointing. It is better to discuss the money with the owner before using it. I paid for this hotel booking site and stayed at the hotel I was charged for my stay. I showed the image of the receipt from the app, explained it, and asked for a refund. I made a bill payment together with a tuk-tuk, Because the tuk tuk was priced high for reasons I don't understand I didn't get the full amount paid for the hotel. The owner didn't know I had paid. and answered. Why did you make a reservation by paying with a card from the app site? It was a pity that it was difficult to understand whether it was answered like that and what kind of mechanism it is 😢
Hotel Sico

Good Hotel, I was Impressed with the first impression, Rooms are Cozy and comfy. Lots of ants in the bathroom. Not an issue when I understand its nature and Hotel team attended rightaway and solve the issues. At my checkout, I paid everything. Settled my bills, asked them to store my luggages for 2 hours, as I wanted to do sightseeing and lunch before heading to flight. We stopped by reception twice, once we were waiting for the vehicle we simply asked for a glass of water, even the staffs reconfirmed if we want a glass or bottle.. we clearly mentioned that we need a glass of water. They brought us a bottle of water, which is very nice, excellent and we loved it. After checkout we went out, due to traffic we came back to Hotel in rush, worrying that a minute wasted might miss our flight. It ruined my whole impression with the hotel when the staff member came running behind me mentioning I have a billed to settle, I asked her what is the item to pay since I have settled all my Bill's. She had no clue, started calling her colleagues, while I kept saying I might miss my flight. Make it hurry, at the end because of the hotel service I wasted my time to pay for a bottle of water which is misunderstandings or the hotel, served us a bottle when we asked for a glass, fine if they charge for a glass. Not a problem to pay but the charges should be presented and asked to pay rightaway when they know that we are checkout and ready to go. Just running behind me for payment of a water bottle, irritated me alot and changed my whole impression of the stay. Nice hotel, if you want good comments and to be popular in the city with the tourists. Need to train the team of what service is. Its definitely not the Receptionist fault. Management should train them, be available to make decisions when it's related to customers experience. Or empower the Receptionist in decision making. I have no problem paying for a bottle of water when I have paid alot more for my accommodation and food there.. but last impression was spoiled from their own mistake.
Paradise Beach Hotel

First the god things. The location and the hotel surrounds are just great. You an walk to a number of local restauants and shops with no trouble at all. Reception is very impressive with an open style leading onto the pool and longue area. Staff are frinedly and courteous and the bar area is good. When we were there, a number of travel groups arrived and departed so they seem to have a good market cornered there. Unfortunately now onto the bad. While our room was spacious with a balcony there were issues with cleanliness, particularly with the bathroom and balcony. There appeared to be an ongoing issue with plumbing meaning the room smelt and ther was some mould on the tiles. To be fair to management, as we were only staying in the room overnight with a very early start, we did not complain or bring it to their attention, however, the problem with the bathroom was obviously not a new one. It is quite reasonably priced (about 11000 rupees fora night) but I don't think that menas you need to put up with a not so clean room.
Bridge Hotel Negombo

The equivalent of a homestay, then four or five rooms. We arrived in the middle of the night, no one was watching the door, knocking on the door could not be opened, but fortunately there was a phone call on Ctrip. The sanitary conditions are worrying. In addition, a room in the same room found a frog in the toilet, live, another room found a gecko (or lizard?), perhaps the ecological environment is too good, haha... breakfast gave us a surprise, rich and delicious.
Regal Reseau Hotel Spa

I checked in this hotel directly after picking up the airport in Sri Lanka that day, just to sleep. The decoration of the hotel is okay, but the room facilities are relatively old, similar to domestic express hotels. There is an open-air swimming pool and bar on the top floor. Take pictures for comparison Looks good, just stay here and start your trip~
Jetwing Beach

Breakfast is generally but a large amount, relatively simple, medium and medium rules. The room is huge, the bathroom is huge, there are slippers, but there is no toothpaste toothbrush, no water, the hotel door has a small supermarket in a few tens of meters, it is convenient, there are food, there are fruits. The hotel is not far from the north of the lagoon, the hotel beach is good.
