Mirihi Island Resort

Dear Mirihi team This was our second visit which was again spectacular! The service was once again next level and we immediately felt at home and felt amongst friends. The fact that most of the staff have been working for Mirihi for several years and that they remember who you are just adds to the awesomeness. The experience right upfront dealing with Muhamad in reservations to Mohammad who welcomed us and played such excellent music, to Roman with his great sense of humour, to "Jelly" who cleaned our room and ensured everything was wonderful clean and stocked as requested, to Felix and his memorable food that makes Mirihi a culinary highlight and to Alexa who runs a fantastic team and is willing to part with all little titbits that makes your stay truly exceptional. We love snorkeling and the house reef will keep you entertained forever - if you know where to look. Look at some of the pics attached. This resort is where you unwind and forget about the outside world. Otherwise, you are at the wrong resort. Mirihi was an exceptional experience. It is a small gem. From the moment you stand barefoot in the sand on the beach you are spoilt with the hospitality and service of the staff. Accomodations are stylish and comfortable. Meals are of a very high standard and so much to choose from. Something for everyone. The local reef is superb to snorkel on and with a well staffed and run dive club scuba is also a great option. A well equipped gym is available for those wanting more specific exercise and many interesting excursions are also available. The spa is a beautiful experience and the staff do a great job in massaging your cares away. Would certainly recommend and hope to be able to visit again soon.

Thank you for the most wonderful stay - again - at Mirihi! From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, we felt very much at home. Housekeeping took such good care of our bungalow, it was always cleaned beautifully and the „Welcome“ and „Birthday“ decorations touched our hearts! Thank you to Pawan and his team. Meals were as we remembered from 10 years ago - absolutely fabulous! There was always something new to try, favourites to enjoy, so much choice and fresh, fresh, fresh!! Thank you again to Felix and his fantastic team! Roman (the man with a big smile) and Shafraz, and their team at both restaurants and at the bar, also played an excellent part in making each meal a pleasure, with relaxed mornings, some nice conversations and chilled evenings! We enjoyed every wine that was recommended to us. Guest relations were also very helpful, letting us use their computer to write a important email, chatting with us as we passed and also laughing with us. And thank you too, to everyone in the background, the gardeners, laundry, handymen etc, without them, things wouldn't work so smoothly. We started to write down names of employees that stood out with their excellent service & friendliness, but to be fair, everyone was just fantastic!! The difficulties and logistics of running a exclusive resort in the middle of the ocean is challenging and the team at Mirihi succeed in every way! The house reef is teeming with life - we saw so much just snorkelling and even whilst walking on the wooden walkways. How magical it all was and how lucky we are to be able to experience it!!

Beautiful small island resort situated about 30 minutes seaplane ride south west of Male in the South Ari Atoll. We stayed in an overwater villa on the western side of the island. It was very private and really quiet and peaceful. Nothing was too much trouble for the Resident Manager Alexa and the guest relations team, headed by Carmen and our villa guy, Shinan, who kept everything clean, tidy and well stocked. Well designed and comfortable villas include nice little touches like direct access from the sea via the deck and straight into the shower without having to walk through the room. The main restaurant is great with well spaced tables, both inside and out depending on the weather. All meals are buffet with a huge range of choices for every meal. The evening meal is themed on a 14 day rotation. The quality of the food is fabulous with Head Chef Felix and F&B Manager Roman overseeing a great team. There is also a smaller A La Carte restaurant which we didn't feel the need to try as the quality in the main restaurant is so good. The weather could have been kinder and, as a result, we didn't see as much of the reef as we would have liked but it seems to be in good health with a very wide variety of life thriving on it. As with any resort it is the staff who really make the difference and the Mirihi people are truly friendly and always willing to help. Overall a wonderful holiday and we shall be back later in the year. We used Angelfish Travel to book this trip and, as with all our previous holidays booked through them, their personal and friendly service ensured that all the arrangements went smoothly and without a hitch. Thoroughly recommend them.

Staying with Mirihi was the best hotel experience my wife and I ever had. The hotel is exceptionally beautiful. We loved the 'no shoes' policy and the very relaxed environment. The landscape is outstanding and the reef just outside our room was spectacular - small sharks, all types of colorful fish. Rooms were very comfortable; we left all doors open to the water to let the wind blow day and night. Food was great - theme nights, variations from all over the world, you always have new things to try every day. The best thing was the people who worked at the hotel - always smiling, always having something nice to say to you, getting things done in such a smooth and empathetic way. The 'office' was great as well - our flight was delayed for 12 hours and Muhammad fixed a hotel for us in Male, a new flight, all perfect. Do not waste any time - go there to see yourself - we will be coming back next year for a longer stay.

We just completed a stay here, and had a wonderful time. First, the service is spectacular. Mirihi has many long-time employees, and it shows. People are friendly and don't announce their titles/roles. They all seem to pitch in for whatever's needed. There is great variety to the first-rate food. My wife is vegan, and we appreciate the number of vegan options, as well as focus and follow-up from the Food & Beverage team, especially Chef Felix, Chef Vijay, and Roman. The overwater villas are comfortable and well-designed, with great access to the water. The bathroom is open to the outside and no AC, so it can get a little toasty. We did a number of snorkeling and boat excursions--they were fun and good value. The Dive Center team was great, especially Lynn, the resident marine biologist. The house reef provides many snorkeling opportunities right off the beach and villas with an incredible variety of fish. The resort is small and very low-key. They have typically one non-water activity at night (music, movie, a presentation, etc.). Come here to relax and loosely follow a schedule.

Wonderful island and great staff. The food was delicious and they offer special menus at their restaurant as well as the daily buffet. Take off your shoes when you arrive and put them away...you won't need them until you leave. Our over water bungalow was delightful. Off the beaten path and worth it!

I have visited about 86 resorts so far that is why I can judge objectively.  With no discusion the one of the best resorts in the Maldives. It is the staff that makes this place so special. Everyone is very friendly at every place and every moment and you feel like you are at home. This is the reason why we will definitely come back again and again. Mr. Mohamed Sharee General manager, he is manager in the right position. He is not just a GM like in other resorts. You can meet Mr. Sharee several times during the day solve every litle things for the guests to be absolutely satisfied. Extra cleanliness in every corner of the island. The finest sand at every step. If any resort is truly barefoot, it's only Mirihi.

 Mr. Pawan Rathi - housekeeping manager look after every single details to be sure that everything is to the satisfaction of the guests. Villas: very comfortables, great big bathroom, all you need. 
Room boy: absolutely clean villa every day. The boy work realy hard and do not forget about details. Quality of food is amazing, cannot be described, it must be experienced, absolutely the best we have ever had. Executive cheff Mr. Felix does everything down to the smallest details, adores his job and top quality is a matter of course for him. We must not forget to thank our boy from Bar Mr. Sudath. He made the best Iced coffe for me and drinks for my husband. Very nice guy and always smiling. I would like to make a particular mention for Mr. Shafraz, the best sommelier we ever met in Maldives. First of all - he is extremely professional. And very kind, willing and helpful at the same time. I very appreciate his professional, top-level approach in every possible way. We can not forget about the "invisible“ members of the team, the ones the guests can not meet: the kitchen staff (without you the island would collapse), the laundry staff (without you we wouldn´t have clean towels, bed linen, bath-towels for the beach). We thank every employee of Mirihi. We hope that on our next visit we will have opportunity to attend yoga classes and the instructor will have a replacement during his vacation😉 Do not change anything, Mirihi is just PERFECT!
