It was very comfortable to stay in Yuhu Village. I originally booked one night to check out the environment and stayed another night. The proprietress and the young lady at the front desk were very nice and helped us upgrade the house. The most important thing is that you can see the golden mountains under the sun while lying on the bed, which is so beautiful that you can't help but want it. It's only a few minutes walk from the train station, very convenient. I just like newly opened hotels, with new facilities, reasonable layout, and new linens that look quite comfortable. My cold and fever didn't go away, so I had to give up my hiking plan and stay in bed. The cleaning lady saw me lying down and added 2 extra bottles of water. The guy at the front desk also agreed to my late check-out. grateful!

The hotel is a little away from the old town (about 20 mins drive), but it is near the exit from the highway, for those driving in. The area is still under construction, so lacks charm. The first impression of the lobby also does not give off a very classy vibe. It is an enormous hanger with lots of stuff dotted around, and no clear flow. There is also a crappy tea shop shoved into the corner that looks like it is taken from a cheap, regional Chinese airport. So not the greatest check in impressions. The hotel is really new, so the corridors and rooms are in great shape, and well up to standard for the money. We were also able to pay 138 RMB each for the full dinner buffet in the exec lounge, which was delicious, and had a great range of foods. Good view of Yulong snow mountain from the hotel too. There are some rough around the edges parts in common areas, but the hotel parts are very nice, and recommended.
