When I came to Lijiang for a trip, I saw the high rating of Muyuntang Hotel on the Internet, so I decisively booked for 4 nights. This time, I came out with my children. The proprietress has a very good personality, she will make tea for us, chat with us, and even bring us Lugu Lake's candied apples. My daughter also likes the proprietress and her apples very much. It is worth mentioning her bedding, soft bed, pillows that look good in photos, and the rice noodles for breakfast are also delicious. The simple and elegant atmosphere of the small courtyard makes people feel happy, and they don't want to go home after living here. Every morning in the inn, I was awakened by the warm yellow sunshine. The entire inn is built on the mountain, and the viewing platform in the middle can see the panoramic view of the ancient city and take pictures. It is also super beautiful. The location is at the intersection of Bailong Square, the first one on the left when entering, super convenient. Basking in the sun, eating apples and drinking afternoon tea, life in Lijiang Old Town is so beautiful. Next time I come to Lijiang, I will choose Muyuntang Inn

This hotel is one of the few hotels that can be parked in the Shuhe ancient town. All of the hotel staff are very kind and upgraded our room despite the peak season. The room and bathroom are very spacious and the balcony also is incomparably spacious. The hotel introduced me to a traditional Lijiang restaurant, and it was the best Chinese food I ever had. If I visit Lijiang again next time, of course I will stay at this hotel again. Thank you for your kindness and warm hospitality.

I have never stayed in a B&B before, but my family heard that it would be a mistake not to stay in a B&B when going to Lijiang, so I originally wanted to book InterContinental, but instead I searched among the many B&Bs. Fortunately, the adventure proved to be worth it in the end! The accommodation is very good, just get off at Shishan Road and walk down a short distance (3-40 meters). It's right next to the ancient city viewing point (it's very interesting to stand on the terrace outside the hotel room and watch the people coming and going on the viewing platform outside). If you walk further down, you will reach the Waterwheel or Bar Street in two minutes. I stayed at the hotel for two days. Due to special reasons, I came in and out of the hotel during the day, in the middle of the night, and in the early morning. Although it was located on a hill, I didn't feel at all unsafe. The hotel (it’s better to call it a home in a foreign land) can stay very comfortably for ten days and a half. If you like Lijiang Old Town, it is the best choice.

Really nice designed hotel. The entry, the yard, the room are all decorated nicely. Tranditional style room but facilities are well-prepared & modern. Guest are totally secured to enjoy. (There is also washing machine & garment dryer in public area). Must try for whom prefer Chinese trandiational house/room. Staffs are extremely nice, funny, kind & helpful (especially Xiao Yuan, the guy with blond hair). They advise the good restaurants, good souvenir shop, introduce the tour. Even take us to the restaurant/shop/service shop they introduce, care abt our experience there. We were served welcome drinks (nice tea & flower cakes) so many times & many fresh fruits during 3 days there. Breakfast is simple but really good-taste. High-recomend for the noodle named mixian. Another plus point is the hand-some & friendly 🐶. Our xiao shuai ge😆 Location is also good. Only abt 100m fr the South gate of old town, convenience for taxi approaching. Abt 10’ walking to the center part of old town so you can both enjoy the quiet & peaceful atmosphere of old town as well as the exciting activies in the center. By the way the old town street is tidy, both local citizens & visitors keep it clean. The only thing wish them to improve is shampoo (a bit dry for hair) & water heater (a bit hard to adjust the temperature). Anyway these are just really small things, wont effect to your enjoying.

Views were fantastic! There’s abit of a climb to the hotel. First timers should take a taxi to the hotel (landmark 万古楼） instead of didi as there’s a restricted area which didi drivers cannot access. Staff were really helpful to help mail us back an item which we left behind!

I got to know this hotel through some positive review from other guests and decided to try it out as I am not familiar with this place nor do I know anyone here. Glad that I did as it turns out to be an excellent experience. The hotel location is easy to reach as it is just a few minutes walk from the main road and it is right next to the old town (丽江古镇)。It is also right in front of a beautiful pond. The room is clean and tidy, everything works, breakfast porridge is tasty. But most importantly the hotel management are extremely friendly and helpful – this make my trip so much more easy and enjoyable. Ann (冰冰) is an excellent manager who offered me valuable advises and tips on where to go , what to do, what to avoid and she helps me with all my booking for the side trips – I had an easy time visiting the snow mountain (雪山), Lugu Lake (泸沽湖) and watch the magnificent Lijiang performance (丽江千古情) . All arranged and well managed with Ann’s help. This is so important when we heard so much negative comments about travelling to Lijiang from unscrupulous tour operator but here I am glad I met honest and reliable people. So if you are new to Lijiang and need guidance, I strongly recommend staying here and speaking to Ann. She is candid, transparent and helpful. The hotel is a beautiful place but the people makes the entire experience even more wonderful .

Room facilities: The room facilities are very complete! And it’s a bit advanced! The bed is just the right softness and firmness, and it’s so comfortable to take a soak in the bathtub when you’re tired from shopping! Location and transportation: The location is very good, in the center of Lijiang Old Town Service: The service... is so good that I feel a little embarrassed. I go downstairs every day to make tea, flower cakes and fruits (just treat it as my own home). The boss will also go to the roadside to pick up customers. Hygiene: Shh! Auntie cleans it very well! Sound insulation: Maybe because it is a wooden building, the style and characteristics are more obvious. As an architecture student, I can understand that the sound insulation of wooden buildings will be a little worse, but it is okay. Overall, the experience was great! I originally wanted to stay a few days longer, but I was just tired. Just call it your own home there!

The hotel is located very close to the east gate of Shuhe Ancient Town. The boss will greet you at the door to help you with your luggage, and will contact you in advance, which is great. The hotel environment is also very good. It was raining when we went there. If it was sunny, the view would be even better. The front desk also upgraded the room for free. The sheets and mattress were very comfortable and clean. A very thoughtful thing is that the room also has a lighted makeup mirror on the table, which is very considerate for girls to put on makeup.

The inn environment is clean and hygienic, the rooms are large, and the yard is especially beautiful. The location is close to the center of the ancient city and very close to Mufu. It is very convenient to visit the ancient city. The lady at the inn was warm and considerate in her service. She carefully recommended travel schedules and surrounding food, took the initiative to arrange pick-up and drop-off at the station, and enthusiastically answered any questions I had. The family had a very comfortable stay. After this trip to Shuanglang Ancient Town, Dali Ancient Town, Xizhou Ancient Town, and Lijiang Ancient Town, this service is the best, highly recommended!

This hotel and the people running it are really special. They treat you as their own personal guests and they do all they can to ensure that you have a great stay. Their care starts before you arrive and continues until you leave the city. So, I was pleasantly surprised when they called me on the day of my arrival and helped me to get to the hotel. I loved the tea time at the front desk where you get to chat with the hotel staff and fellow travelers. So don't be surprised if you find new friends during your stay! I have stayed in many hotels in many countries but this stay was so special that I decided to write my first hotel review! I really loved this hotel and the staff who are now my friends. I had a wonderful stay and I would love to come back at the first opportunity.
