Paradee Resort

Koh Samet|3.08km from city center
As a couple who have traveled to many luxurious destinations around the world, we can confidently say that the Paradee Resort is truly one of the most incredible places we have ever had the pleasure of staying at. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by a fleet of friendly faces and introduced to the destination. We were immediately enveloped in the serene and tranquil atmosphere of this tropical paradise. The resort's lush tropical greenery and extraordinarily pristine beaches are enough to take your breath away, but it's the incredible attention to detail and top-notch service that really sets the Paradee resort apart, with our spa experience made top notch by Noi and Pin. Every single staff member is incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that your every need is taken care of throughout your stay, with special mention to Tony. And the accommodations themselves are simply stunning, with spacious, beautifully-appointed rooms that provide the perfect blend of luxury and comfort, with our experience in the Garden Pool Villa absolutely exceptional. But perhaps the highlight of my stay was the incredible food. The resort's restaurant offer an incredible selection of fresh, locally-sourced ingredients that are expertly prepared and presented. Whether you're in the mood for Thai specialties or international cuisine, the Paradee's culinary offerings are sure to impress even the most discerning foodies. Our favourite meals were the chicken pad see ewe, duck Massaman curry and the chocolate and peanut butter lasagne that we indulged ourselves with more than once! All in all, I can't recommend the Paradee Resort enough. If you're looking for a truly luxurious and unforgettable experience on Ko Samet, this is definitely the place to be and we can’t wait to return!

Ao Prao Resort

Ao Prao Koh Samet|1.47km from city center
I’ll start by saying that the hotel’s surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful. The beach is one of the best on the island - clean and tranquil. It made spending time in the hotel a delight. And overall, we had a really memorable time - which was enhanced by exploring the island on motorbikes every day (which you can rent from the hotel). However, there are a number of areas where there could be significant scope for improvement and which, if improved, could make this a much better class of hotel. These are primarily: 1. There was repeated miscommunication with the hotel staff, who generally-speaking (with the exception of one or two receptionists) have poor English. It would of course be unreasonable to expect everyone to speak perfect English; that’s not my criticism here. But what I will say is that a lack of common language between us and the hotel staff made asking questions, even simple ones, about our trip difficult and led to mistakes. 2. The food is really poor at the hotel restaurant, Breeze. We had expensive Thai food which was inedible in part and the only bad meal which we have had during our two week stay in Thailand. Until improved, I’d suggest going to other restaurants on the island - Banana Bar is a real highlight. 3. The rooms which we were first shown to were unacceptably far away from the main hotel and up a number of flights of steps. We asked to change and were moved with no questions asked, which was a great result for us. We thought the hotel dealt with that issue brilliantly. We wondered how often they had encountered this issue having shown people to those rooms. And to be honest, those rooms shouldn’t really be hired out at all unless it is for a serious discount and it’s made clear to guests when they book. 4. Parts of the hotel feel unloved and a bit neglected to be honest - I don’t want to be too harsh here as it may be that the hotelier hasn’t been able to put as much money back into the resort following COVID and it’s aftermath. In particular, the room showers could do with an update. And generally there is an outdated feel to the hotel which could do with being modernised - the furniture in the common parts, the shower by the pool, etc. For the reasons above and taking into account the price paid for our stay, I would give Ao Prao three stars, but my lasting feeling is that with a bit more money, love and attention to detail, it could become a four or five star in the future.

Samed Tropical Resort

Ao Cho Koh Samet|0.25km from Ko Samet
I'm a professional travel agent and travel expert. I inspect hotel throughout Asia for 6 months already. Big hotel chains has hosted me for a reviews in media in my country. Bofore leaving Thailand I decided to spend some time on a beautiful beach Ao Cho of Samet Island. That's the most beautiful beach here with clear cristal waters and white sand. The resort itself is very old, Iean The Grand View Ao Cho redort which manages Tropical Samet Resort. And Tropical Samet Resort is a newly built part of it. The construction looks very good, but only looks. It is very bad done in details. I stay on a standard room on th second floor. Good bed, no furniture at all. No table, no any chair. So you will not be able to work eith your notebook for some time if you need. The shower is only the wall shower. So when you walk in from the beach you can not only just wash your legs off the sand, you gonna need take your all body shower. It's very inconvenient. For ladies especially, there is only one mirror in the bath room and there is no light to see your face appropriately. So, forget about making a good makeup. There's no safebox in the room. Pay attention to it! You will have to take all your valuables and belongins with you always! No any special place to allicate your luggage. No shelves. The good thing is that you sleep in a new bed. And the room is fresh. But it will be downgraded quickly because the quality of works is so poor. The locker in the door is electronic but it is shacking like it is broken. The restaurant of the resort is very expensive. And the service is very slow and bad. Today I had a dinner. There were only two tables occupied. I waited for my club sandwich for 30 mins. I also ordered hot latte and tgey brought me cappuccino. Ok, I decided to check and ordered latte again. Same. They brought me cappuccino, bitter cappuccino again. Although the restaurant has wide variety of coffee in the menu. And it's definitely supposed to understand the difference between latte and cappuccino. I waited for another cup of coffee 10 mins)) What could be easier to push the button in the coffee machine)) Also how come to mix ketchup and maionese? The chef, where are you from? Are you from far resorted village from the mountains in Thailand? For those travellers who wish to stay here and enjoy the best beach, the hotel is still in shape noting the fact that even bad bad resorts on the island are all full because of high demand now, I advise you to eat in a small cafe like a rasta-bar on the beach. The service is very quick, very delicious, even soups and 2 times cheaper then in the hotel restaurant. Have a safe and enjoyable travel.

Hello everyone During this time, the weather is very unstable. Sometimes it's hot, then it's raining. But travel lovers like us are not afraid. Suddenly I want to go to the beach, so we arrange a trip together in a very hot way. Looking for accommodation in many places but the rooms are all full Until the trip is ruined, so I try to fight and find another round, finally!!! I have a place to stay. @tongtaphaview samed resort Koh Samet, Rayong Province, near Bangkok. I will tell you from the way to get there. We drive to Rayong, Ban Phe Sub-district, from Bangkok-Rayong, about 3-4 hours. Leave a car at the pier for 60 ฿ per day. Go for a boat ride at Nuanthip Pier. Normal boat round trip 140/person (30-40 minutes). , Speed Boat round-trip 300/person (10-20 minutes). Upon arrival, there will be an entrance fee of 40 ฿ per person for the national park (just started collecting during the COVID period) and a minibus ride to the accommodation for another 50 ฿ per person. Although there are tricycle drivers to help lift things We walked a little bit to the accommodation. Upon arriving at the accommodation, the staff brought the welcome drink to serve (I'm very impressed here. The service is very good) The atmosphere of the accommodation is very good. Next to the sea Resort activities Clap your hands, the signature fish of this place. Just clap your hands, the fish come to see us in groups Surfboards, canoes, floating nets, beanbags, beach hammocks, sand scoops, badminton, balls, frisbee, board games, fishing rods / squid fishing, food available. Free breakfast every meal The resort has food for sale, priced at 80 - 500 (very delicious, many menus). As for the accommodation price, the room that Ping stays at is 3000/night including breakfast. n (Secretly regretting not booking the sea view room in time because the room is full) The service staff is very good, 10/10 overall is 10/10.

Green Bay Samed Resort

Sai Kaew Beach Koh Samet|0.08km from Ao Phai
Firstly, big shout out to Ae, Nuung and Add. The friendly staff could not have been more helpful during my stay. Three assets right there to this resort. Convenient location only 30m to the beach and a short walk to many of the beachfront restaurants. They have bicycles, inflatables, life vests and dart board all free to use. A wash station is available to use before returning to your room. They also have a small minimart onsite with all those necessities you may have forgotten and a well stocked fridge. I was allocated room no.1 which is the best room for water views but the trade off is being right next to the road. Traffic is at a minimum after 9pm but I was so exhausted from my daytime activities I had no problem sleeping. The large balcony area affords water views for all 6 rooms on the first level but rooms 1, 2 and 3 are the better picks. Each room has a table and chairs outside their room. I've stayed in many rooms around Thailand and I find it difficult to fault my room in any way. Comfortable bed, clean linens, aircon, cable TV (1-200 channels), lighting, free minibar, wardrobe space, safety box, everything was excellent. Then there are additional touches like hair dryer, power board, shopping bag, extra pillows, flip flops and chair. The bathroom was adequate size with separate shower recess. No problem with hot water system and good water pressure plus exhaust fan. Breakfast was ordered from a menu which complemented a buffet with coffee, juice, toast, fruits etc. On my last morning it was raining so the buffet was set up upstairs and your set meals were brought to your table outside your room. All part of a 5 star service. Overall, Green Bay made me feel totally relaxed. If Sai Kaew beach is your preferred destination on KS then I thoroughly recommend Green Bay, whether your solo (like me), a couple or a family with kids.

Better to overpay than to breathe.. I will say at once, almost the entire hotel was free, traveled outside the season. First we were settled in room C11 , the smell of the spleen, the mini-mini room, all old and a number of repair works. We went to the respiratory, asked to change the room, gave us E11, it looked much better) but an hour later, dogs came to us and they ended up with us for 3 days, they went out at night, chewed, scratched. In principle, coming to the room, we immediately understood, that not just the furniture was worn. On the trail of the day, right under our window, they set fire, we were breathing, all night sleeping in Gary, TC winding that smell was impossible, smelled everything, clothes, hair) well, And in the morning all the repair works were suddenly moved to our house ... We went to friends to the nearby silver send, I will tell you so, the difference is huge and the attitude to people is different ... so if you don't want to spoil the holiday, it is better to overpay a little.

I dont know how this place is when its more people here and no covid situation but at this time I love this place. Clean beUtiful beach with a nice home reef just outside. There are just enough sunchairs so the beach does not feel cluttered. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. You can borrow both snorkeling gear and kayaks. The food in the restaurant tastes great and just a small walk away is a minimart and a bigger beach with more restaurants and bars. The rooms are clean and well kept. There are also alot of small details that Inreally love they thought about like a flashlight in every room if you want to go out when its dark. Hairbands for the forgetfull girlfriend in the free toiletrees. A beachbag marked with your roomnumberbto bring stuff in to the beach. I warmly recomend this place. Clean friendly and relaxing. I will gladly come back.

My first time to Ko Samet for an overnight, and I wanted a quiet getaway just to relax without all the activity. This place was perfect for that. Stayed in one of the beachfront bungalows, and while I would prefer that they didn't have the music during the day, it wasn't really that bothersome, and they turn it off by 6PM, so the morning and evening are wonderfully peaceful. Room #2 seems a bit better than #1 where I stayed, since it's set back a bit so a little more private. Had breakfast and dinner at Samed Villa next door, and both were very good. They have a Fire Show at 7:30. Also got a massage there, and that was outstanding. Had lunch at TubTim on the other side, and that was good as well. The bar is quite nice, and drinks are very good, both alcohol and non. Went for runs both mornings, and though the roads are quite hilly and challenging, traffic was minimal with plenty of space, so not stressful at all. Took a walk down to Sai Kaew beach, which is ~20min, and need to walk in parts on the narrow road with traffic. Definitely glad I chose the quiet area, since it was quite loud and crowded, but lots of fun nightlife options if that's your interest. They do have some construction going on during the day, which can be a little distracting, but again not terrible. I'm a little concerned that all the new construction may detract from the peace and quiet, but hopefully they'll be able to preserve that.

Was far more expensive than other accommodations on the same beach. Room was badly decorated and was dirty and smelled of damp. The AC had no controller so the temperature was controlled by the owner and was set so that it was hot and humid in the room. There were dead cockroaches all up the stairs to the rooms which were there our entire stay, showing the lack of cleaning taking place. We walked a few meters along the beach and far superior bungalow for half the cost. Avoid this place at all costs.

I have to say that I didn't stay here. But will review the restaurant here for you Because here he has a restaurant as well in front of the beach by the sea. Thai food here is very delicious, spicy, very pleasing, a lot of worth the price, delicious cocktails, good service staff. Good view, great atmosphere The restaurant is located at Sai Kaew Beach, the sandy beach is very beautiful.
