Lonely Beach / Bai Lan Bay
The breakfast is great, the clerk service is very good, the environment is also very good, highly recommended, but it is far away from the white beach, you can ask the front desk to help contact a taxi, the better is that it is relatively quiet, suitable for a leisure vacation, and the lively ones are to live in the white beach Better nearby
The Spa Koh Chang Resort

Having done the detox multiple times at The Spa Samui Lamai Beach & Village, I was keen to experience this as a comparison. Oh my word I’m so glad I did! It is the exact same programme which I know and love, and which really works. Even has ‘Guy’s breakfast’ on the menu 😄. The refurbished rooms are beautiful, ours had a huge bathtub and amazing balcony. The room was a fabulous size with an extremely comfortable kingsize bed. Massage was amazing too, including Ampuku. Gym needs an overhaul, but I imagine that is next on the refurbish agenda. But there is yoga, and there are bicycles and kayaks free to use. If you know the sister Spa’s in Samui this is more like the village in its peaceful location, but nicer as it’s not as hilly. It doesn’t have anything nearby so if you want to explore the busier parts of the island you’ll need a car/scooter. The nearest beach is Long beach, 10 min shuttle from the hotel, and one of the loveliest we’ve found in Thailand. This is the perfect detox oasis and I’m already planning my next trip. Thank you to Poon & your team, your resort is a magical haven in a crazy world.

This place is very quiet, but only a few minutes walk from the beach. I slept in another bungalow complex on the beach for a few nights but was constantly awoken in the night by the howling of dogs. At Tree House I sleep through the night without being disturbed. I absolutely love my room. In one side, the wall is almost fully taken up with a large patio sliding door, so it is bright and has a great view over the salt water lagoon outside. This is budget accommodation, but whoever designed it has taste. The bathroom is very nice. There is a large sliding wardrobe with plenty of room to hang your shirts and store things. This is something you don't usually get in rooms of this price. The staff are friendly, though they speak very little English. This hasn't been a problem, we have just used Google translate when necessary. The cafe / restaurant area is really nicely done. It has that lovely mix of man-made and wild that a good Chinese style garden has. The food is good and slightly cheaper than on the beach. Very few people staying here, so really suitable for those who want somewhere peaceful. They have a good capsule coffee maker so u can get your fix for a mere 50 baht. I'm paying 800 baht (900 if I stay less than a week) per night for an AC room with a beautiful view, which is a good deal for a nice room close to the beach in this area in high season. I would highly recommend this place for those who want something charming, quiet and unique in the budget price bracket.

Stayed in oceanfront room. Clean no mosquitos or insects. No geckos in the room either. They can be noisy if on the inside. Excellent and friendly service by staff at the resort especially at breakfast. Good variety of breakfast items. I went for omelet, yoghurt and fruit. The pool is nice and you can swim laps. Tips If you want to the waterfall Klung Plu and don’t want to ride pickup taxi but Toyota minibus walk 150m on the beach to Mr T travel (right beside Mr T bar). It was excellent that the resort provided new bottles of drinking water every day. We had delicious lunch and dinners at the restaurant. Paddle a kayak was included. Did diving with BB-divers easy pick up by speedboat to dive center just a couple of minutes from the beach at the resort.

The Tropical Beach Resort

Bang Bao Bay
Tropical is on Klong Kloi beach, right at the very end of the road on the southern most beach on Koh Chang. The bungalows are spacious with large comfortable beds and the air-conditioning works very well & is quiet. The photographs of the resort are accurate & up to date. Whilst they do not have a restaurant currently, breakfast is provided at the Coco Chacha restaurant just a 50m. walk on the beach & is excellent! The surrounding area is well kept & although the beach is a little rocky in front of Tropical, it's just a short walk to find perfectly sandy spots. as well as Coco Chacha restaurant, there are others a short walk along the beach. Cholly, the manager is a wonderful asset to the resort, as is Kong Tub & all the staff are friendly & helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. If you need supplies and drinks for your fridge, then I suggest you shop in Bang Bao before you check in or hire a scooter from them to get around.
