Best Hotels with bar in Huidong

The hotel was nice. We were given a top floor room,it was really spacious, clean and had an amazing view!!Amenities and services just as advertised. The location was really convenient, lots of Chinese/foreign restaurants around. The hotel is right at the beach which is great (umbrellas and chairs were paid tho). The buffet breakfast was well organized, food selection was ok, nothing fancy. The hotel is a bit old and is lacking the feel of luxury but overall we were satisfied.

We had a great time staying at the beautiful Howard Johnson Sandalwoods. The complex is large with many waterslides for young children to play in. However, during winter season most of the pools are closed. The beach belonging to the hotel is also clean. The breakfast spread is fantastic, with a good mixture of chinese and western cuisine. Mina the receptionist manager was very helpful in granting us special checkout extension till 3.30pm as my sister was feeling unwell during checkout and need more time to rest. I will definitely be back again and bring my children along.

(background: European but communicate fluently with staff in Chinese) The Sheraton welcomed us with a light-flooded lobby in traditional Asian architecture. A warm and relaxing impression. Location： The Sheraton is located between Xunliaowan (10min) and Shuangyuewan (30min), the two major tourist places on the peninsula. The hotel is located remotely, meaning no restaurants or supermarkets are close or outside the entrance. It shares the beach only with the Regal Resort, which is 1km down the beach. Therefore, its quiet and perfect for weekend-getaway from the busy city life. Facilities: The hotel offers 3-4 outdoor pools and 1 indoor pool, some remain closed/not in-use (hard to tell). Food: The hotel has a lobby bar which offers drinks and small snacks. We ordered a coffee there to be served at the pool, which was challenging and took some effort, but finally possible. (Chinese speaker) The breakfast restaurant is located on groundfloor serving up to 10:30am. Apart from common Chinese dishes, I am interested in the continental food variety, here the hotel was offering very soft ”french style” baguette, 3 different types of cheese, and smoked duck breast as cold cut. Also, the hotel offered fresh salad buffet with a good variety including olives. For a 5 star hotel, I would expect fresh orange/fruit juice, which I could not find. The hotel offers a BBQ restaurant/bar at the waterfront, so we tried Shaokao around 7pm. we chose a 298Y package for 2ppl. The food quality was very poor and we had to return all sausages and ask 4 dishes to be put back on the BBQ. Any street BBQ tastes way better. First we were told all drinks are included, later a can of beer cost CNY40, So we had to pay additional CNY120. Disappointing experience for a 5 star hotel. Service: Concierge welcomed our taxi and opened the door, but did not offered any help for our luggage. Check-In took almost 20minutes (excluding waiting time) which is long for a 5 star hotel. We were told to go to the room, however, there wasn't clear signage where to find the right elevator to our room. Being at the pool, we tried to order drinks, as the hotel lobby is 10min away. It seems this customer wish is new to the hotel and we had to beg the hotel staff to find a solution for us. For a 5star hotel, I do expect being able to order/buy drinks/water at the pool area. The sunbeds at the pool needed cushions which are quite heavy and were located in a hidden area. (Hard to find for guests, so most guest just used their room towels on the hard benches). I would have wish that there is staff guiding/helping on that task. The F&B staff seems not well trained and supervised. Unfinished drinks have been thrown on the ground in the outdoor areas, food waste has been put in little plastic bags and clients tissues were used to clean tables and get them ready for next customers. We had to ask staff proactively to clean our table of used plates and bowls.

We stayed here for 2 days and everything was wonderful!! Thanks Moris for the help the second day, the amenities are great, view from anywhere is beautiful and the service is perfect. Everyone is very friendly and helpful! Will be back again for sure!!!

The various facilities, supporting facilities and services of the hotel are not worthy of such an expensive price. The hotel is inconvenient to travel in the mountains. It takes more than ten minutes to take a taxi and it is difficult to call a taxi. Facilities: The facilities are OK, but the cleaning needs to be improved. There are water stains on the bathroom sink faucet. Hygiene: When I stayed there, I called at night to ask the service staff to come in to clean the spoons and bring the crib. The crib was thrown directly at the door and left after cleaning the pool with a dark face. It felt like I owed him money. Environment: It is more suitable to play golf if it is not friendly for children. The hotel lobby has a huge sand table for selling rooms, which is not at all the standard that a star-rated hotel should have. The hot springs weren't hot either, and the hotel staff said they wouldn't open if it rained. Service: The front desk staff was very enthusiastic when answering the phone and answering things, but they forgot to call me back every time. I stayed there for three days and the experience was very average. I will not stay here again!

The location and environment of the hotel are good. The view from the sea-view room is very beautiful. The only regret is that the door lock of the room is out of electricity. I can’t open the door when I go out and come back. I have to wait for the staff to deal with it for about 40 minutes. I feel that their response is too slow. The waiter’s attitude is not bad. In follow-up, there is also a poor ventilation system in the bathroom, and there is a peculiar smell inside, I hope it can be improved.

I don't usually post reviews when I stay in hotels, but this time I must write them. First of all, the environment of the hotel is very good, quiet and comfortable. The whole style of the hotel is very suitable for a quiet vacation. Here, in addition to the good environment of the hotel, we must give special praise to the hotel staff. The service is very enthusiastic, and everything is arranged properly, making us feel like we are at home.

Brand new hotel, with nice green gardens. The rooms are modern and well equipped. Direct access to the sea, even though it is not allowed to swim. The swimming pool is not so big, but not crowded, knowing that the biggest part is kept for kayak rental. The staff at the lobby and the restaurant is kind, but the lifeguards not so much. The breakfast buffet is good, with Western food, as well as the dinner. Unfortunately, no cocktail at the bars, no room service and very few choices of finger foods. The biggest downside are all the fireworks in front of the hotel, for several hours, even past midnight.

The hotel room that we booked was lovely, great sea view, spacious and was clean. The hotel staff was kind and helpful and they made our stay good. However, the pool was really dirty and their excuse was that it is winter, which was ridiculous (just clean the pool and let the guests decide whether they want to swim or not). It would’ve been nice if they had brochures with activities that you can do around. The breakfast and drinks weren’t too good, would’ve been better if there were options.

The room is big and clean, and you can see the sea at 180 degrees. The location is great, and the owner is very friendly, answering every question, I will come again next time! And will recommend to friends!
