Been to Hokkaido many times but first time in Hakodate. Bourou Noguchi is one of the most expensive hotels in Yunokawa area. The Noguchi Group of hotels operates quite a few hotels in the Donan area (southern Hokkaido). Seems most, if not all, of the room are fitted with private onsen. We have a duplex room with living room and bedroom on the lower floor, and bath room on the upper floor. The room size is enormous by any Japan standard. With a premium price you pay, you get almost everything you need in a room, coffee beans and maker, free mini bar drinks, Loccitane toiletries, private in-room onsen, an empty Japanese style living room with no furniture where you can do yoga, two TVs. The room has windows on two sides facing east and west. The hotel as a whole takes a western style of decoration rather than a traditional style. I guess since most of the rooms has its own onsen, as a result the public bath on the top floor is not very outstanding, however, there are free drinks and ice cream on the lounge next to the onsen entrance. And the lounge has a nice view on Hakodate city and Mount Hakodate. Every room has its designated dining room in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Both meals serve Japanese and western style dishes. My personal opinion is that Japanese dishes is better. Service in restaurant and front desk is as good as you will find in a Japanese hotel. On the ground floor there is a library, and a bar opens until late. There is not much in the surrounding area except onsen hotels, however, there are noodle shop, sushi restaurant and drug store nearby.

I stayed overnight with my wife. I could see the Tsugaru Strait from the room. It was cloudy, but I understood the wonderfulness of the location. The food was really good. The seafood was fresh and the food presentation was great. I was also happy that the mini bottle of the festival was included free of charge in the reservation plan. There was a semi-open-air bath in the large communal bath. It was nice to see the Tsugaru Strait from here. The staff at the inn, including Mr. Nakai, served the guests very politely. The stay at this inn was very comfortable. With such facilities, meals and services, I thought it was a great deal to have a total of about 80,000 yen for two people despite the Obon festival. This is a recommended inn.

There is no one who speaks English in the entire hotel, making communication extremely difficult. There is a free lounge available. The hotel has a beautiful view, facing the sea. The breakfast in the restaurant is absolutely rich and diverse in Japanese hotels. It is well soundproofed and quiet. There is service every night. Staff will make the bed, so please bring your own cash. There are fewer bus trips. The Japanese-style hotel we booked has a large room and an outdoor hot spring, which is great. The drinks in the refrigerator are free. The service staff forgot to give us replacement toothbrushes. Everything else is good. This is a chain group and also has one in Noboribetsu.

just opposite the jr station which is super convenient. The morning market is located at the next street only while tram is just few steps away. the amenities are free flow before 10pm at the lobby, including facial care and even facial mask. however, the room is a bit hot even though the temperature outside was -1 because the window gap was so small. Tried to switch off the aircon but it was still hot. Overall quite worth it.

In terms of service it was pretty much non existent for such a good / upscale hotel no one is there to bring you baggage up to your room. As for the room even if you are a solo traveler it is just way to small there is practically no space to walk around. But very nice facilities and lobby area with top tier breakfast provided. Decent location too around 5 to 10 minutes walk away from the train station and the morning market. Those are like the only saving grace to be really honest.

Nice and clean hotel. Location is right next to Hakodate JR station which is convenient. Buffet breakfast was good with wide variety of food to choose from. Room looks quite new but was quite compact for my family of 4. The negative thing was that my room didn't come with any complimentary water and there was also no housekeeping provided during my stay (They only provided a bag with fresh change of towels, coffee/tea bags to each room).

What an amazing hotel HakoBA Hakodate is. It is located in the old Fuji Bank building which gives it a unique character. They have done an amazing job updating the interior making it look modern yet still letting the character of the building shine through, awesome! Staff at reception were super friendly and helped us with lots of recommendations, like food and drink, and helped us with the public transport 1-day pass which you can buy here. There's also a cool little shop in the reception area selling local gifts. The room was really nice and we were lucky they gave us a room on the top floor which meant the room had really high ceilings and amazing details on the ceiling. Bathroom was pretty large, very modern and clean. Location wise this hotel is perfect. It is a 20 minute walk from the station but well connected to other public transport like buses and the city tram system. Located in the middle of the redbrick warehouse area of Hakodate there's plenty of shopping and restaurants around. Ideal for exploring this amazing city. Highly recommend staying here!

I used it for the first time. A luxury hotel, breakfast is a special mention! We chose Japanese food in Azeria for the first night １ and Matsumae for the second night. At the buffet, there was a heap of salmon roe that I had never seen before, and I was able to make a super gorgeous seafood bowl, which was really amazing. ２ Matsumae on the night was also a very nice set, and I chose the salmon roe set, but this is also super satisfying. My friend was Hitsumabushi set, which looked very delicious! The room was large and well maintained, and it was good because it had a long-established style plus modern functionality.

It is a big hotel in Hakodate residential area. The nearest stop is Matsukaze CHO and the bus stop is Omori Cho. It is located on the east side of Hakodate station and Hakodate City Hall, and it is not far away, but it is not very busy because it is in the residential area. There is also a Family Mart nearby, and there are restaurants if you go to the station, but it is a bit inconvenient to walk to the tourist spot. I think there is no problem if I rent a bicycle for free because I rent a bicycle. There is a large parking lot on the north side of the hotel and it is parked for free, so I think there is no problem for sightseeing by car. It was a quite big hotel and I was traveling alone but I could use a twin room. Amenities were all available and there was a refrigerator in the room. The unit bus facilities were a bit old, but they were able to use it without any problems. There is also a welcome drink beside the lobby, and there is a cartoon shelf in the back and you can read it freely. The special note is the night crying soba service. It is limited to 10:00 ～ 12:00 at night, but there is a service that can be eaten freely by making salt ramen. Self service, but the ingredients are also served with charshoe, menma, corn, onion and cheeks, and you can put them as much as you like. There were many people who were used quite a lot. The staff and the response were kind, and if you go to Hakodate again, it is a hotel that I want to use again.

We stayed at Century Marina for our first night in Hokkaido and originally chose it for its proximity to most of the sites we wanted to see in Hakodate. It's just a few minute walk from the train station with plenty of sidewalks so pulling our suitcases was no issue. The hotel also has a large parking lot if you choose to drive. It's also just a few minute walk from the warehouse district and the older area up the hill where a lot of historical embassies and churches are. The hotel's breakfast buffet is an experience itself with an extensive spread of both Japanese and Western food options. You will reserve a time slot when checking in, but even then you should expect a 10-20 minute wait in the morning to get your table, so its best to go up before your reserved time. This hotel also has one of the best rooftop onsen I've seen, with wonderful views of the whole marina and hill. When booking I didn't realize there was a hot springs so this was a nice surprise. Our room was right next to the elevator but very quiet and clean. This is a newer hotel too so everything felt very fresh and well-maintained. We checked in using Japanese, but the hotel has check-in info packets and signs in English so this is a good option for non-Japanese speaking guests as well.

This hotel is a relatively newer hotel . There is a huge free open carpark behind the hotel. Check in was fast . Welcome drinks were served. The twin rooms are very comfortable with good temperature control and firm beds. Wifi was fast. There was a bathtub and a area to sit down and shower just like in the onsen area. Two bottles of water were provided. Dinner was good with snow crabs , sashimi like tuna , octopus , ikura etc . There was also a ramen section where you cook your own ramen . For desert , there was an assortment of cakes and ice cream . Onsens were new and relatively empty. The bathing area was adequately lit . The only drawback was that only one type of shampoo and conditioner was available . There was a long indoor onsen . Outdoor onsens had a long sort of infinity pool , another pool and two barrel tubs . The onsens were clean and new and quiet. There was also a resting area that looked out over the city at night . What would make the experience better would be perhaps popsicles could be offered for all to enjoy after the onsen. Breakfast was good . Overall a very comfortable and reasonably priced stay near an Aeon mall and fantastic soba restaurant

I recently stayed at Hotel Resol Hakodate during a trip to Hakodate, Japan, and I was very impressed with my experience. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the city, within walking distance of many attractions, restaurants, and shops. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's breakfast, which was simply delicious. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, including both Japanese and Western- style dishes. Picked this hotel a it was very close to the station and so easy to get to while dragging bags. Also very convenient for the central Hakodate facilities and shops. The hotel was typical of city centre, budget types i.e. rooms on the smaller side, but the service, cleanliness and value for money can't be faulted plus there was a very reasonable free breakfast. Wouldn't hesitate to use agin if back in Hakodate.

I used JR INN for the first time. JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo has used it. I stayed at a railway hotel for railway fans, but I was impressed this time. If you thought you could see Twilight Express and Hokuto Star in the time of running on the bed, Cassiopeia came in. If you take the tram from Hakodate Station to Goryokaku Koenmae Station, it is a hotel almost in front of you. The bus stop of the ”Tobikko” bus to the airport is also nearby. The size of the room and the type of amenities were sufficient. Personally, it was convenient to have pajamas. It was in the room even with the charger and cable of the PC and the smartphone, so it will be helpful when you forget it. Only one thing, when I opened the shower curtain, it smelled bad, so the item ”cleanness” is reduced by １.

Very nice hotel, near JR Station and Fish Market, the view is amazing. You can walk to Redbrick. It was my 3rd visit to Hakodate and this hotel is the best that I ever stayed. Each room has washing machine and microwave, it takes some hours to do the laudry but the clothes are totaly dry. Very clean room and friendly staf. I’d love to stay in this hotel again on my 4th visit to Hakodate

Love this hotel!!! We got deluxe twin room for 3 adults and the room is the biggest one compare with other hotels we stayed in Hokkaido (It even got a small kitchen attached to it!!) The room is clean and come with a sea view, the lobby is grand as well. The hot spring is very nice and huge (probably also nature as claimed). Have great food, Izakaya and convenient store nearby for around 5-10mins walk. The only minus point is it's a bit away from the Hakodate JR station (ard15 mins walk), which is a bit dreadful for us with 3 luggage (1huge 2small) in winter on ice and snow:'). Highly recommended people with huge luggage on winter to take bus from Hakodate Station (something like 95, costing for only something like 250yen only. the information center in the station can help, someone with great English there as well). The bus can get off directly infront of the hotel. Very much enjoyed this hotel! Wish can stay one more night!

It has been almost 3 years that we have not visited Japan. Once Japan opened tourism, we packed our bags. We decided this trip will be a trip to enjoy some onsen (hot springs bath) and to see some fall foliage in colors. We picked Hakodate for onsen. This hotel offers in room open air bath tub on the balcony with a 180 degree ocean view!! Our activities were focused on taking onsen and having great food at the hotel buffet restaurant. After a great onsen bath, we wore the clothing they provided to us to the restaurant, very layback and relaxing!! There were many families, old and very young at the hotel over the weekend. So we think families take short vacations here. Strongly recommend to add Hakodate and this hotel to be part of your tour in Japan !

It was comfortable. It was really comfortable already. I visited the south side based in Hakodate City, but I used it at that time. At first, I was worried because the price was too cheap, but when I stayed, it was very comfortable rather than no problem. The salty breakfast is very recommended. Also, I was very satisfied with the curry on Sunday morning. It is within walking distance from Hakodate Station and the parking lot was also able to stop with a roof. It may be recommended for motorcycles and bicycles. Thank you so much for your help. I'll come again!

The location is good because it is ５ minutes walk from Hakodate Station and in front of Daimon Yokocho. It is beautiful because it has just opened in ２０１９ year １２ months. The price was also cheap at the open commemorative price. Amenities are cut to the limit. Only toothbrush and shampoo, body soap and bath towel. No hand towel or face towel. There is no shaving, cotton swab, sponge, hair-stained rubber, etc. There is a dryer and refrigerator, TV and Wi-Fi in the room, but there is no hot water pot, air cleaner, deodorant spray, etc. The cup is only for toothpaste. You can't boil hot water and drink warm things. There is a coin laundry and smoking place in the building, but there is no ice making machine or microwave. The bathtub is very narrow. When you take a shower, the shower curtain hits your body. The toilet seat is also a minimal type. The right is the wall and the front is the door. It is a hotel that is really specialized in sleeping, so it is a hotel that chooses the object.

The hotel is just at the corner of the jr station. Hakodate is a three-story building opposite the city. It is a very old-fashioned hotel. It feels like you can't call the hotel. It has two sets of beds, a set of folds, and a Large tables and large cabinets, the house is small and has no place to go. It’s still a bit away from the station where the tram is going, so you have to take two big intersections. Fortunately, Hakodate is to settle down, and taxis are cheap and convenient. It is very close to Hakodate train station, and it is also very close to the morning market. Free parking is also a highlight. The hotel uses self-service registration, self-scanning passports, etc. There are only a few rooms on each floor, so there won't be too many people. What an amazing hotel HakoBA Hakodate is. It is located in the old Fuji Bank building which gives it a unique character. They have done an amazing job updating the interior making it look modern yet still letting the character of the building shine through, awesome! There's also a cool little shop in the reception area selling local gifts. The room was really nice and we were lucky they gave us a room on the top floor which meant the room had really high ceilings and amazing details on the ceiling. Bathroom was pretty large, very modern and clean. Location wise this hotel is perfect. It is a 20 minute walk from the station but well connected to other public transport like buses and the city tram system. Located in the middle of the redbrick warehouse area of Hakodate there's plenty of shopping and restaurants around. Ideal for exploring this amazing city. Highly recommend staying here!

Been to Hokkaido many times but first time in Hakodate. Bourou Noguchi is one of the most expensive hotels in Yunokawa area. The Noguchi Group of hotels operates quite a few hotels in the Donan area (southern Hokkaido). Seems most, if not all, of the room are fitted with private onsen. We have a duplex room with living room and bedroom on the lower floor, and bath room on the upper floor. The room size is enormous by any Japan standard. With a premium price you pay, you get almost everything you need in a room, coffee beans and maker, free mini bar drinks, Loccitane toiletries, private in-room onsen, an empty Japanese style living room with no furniture where you can do yoga, two TVs. The room has windows on two sides facing east and west. The hotel as a whole takes a western style of decoration rather than a traditional style. I guess since most of the rooms has its own onsen, as a result the public bath on the top floor is not very outstanding, however, there are free drinks and ice cream on the lounge next to the onsen entrance. And the lounge has a nice view on Hakodate city and Mount Hakodate. Every room has its designated dining room in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Both meals serve Japanese and western style dishes. My personal opinion is that Japanese dishes is better. Service in restaurant and front desk is as good as you will find in a Japanese hotel. On the ground floor there is a library, and a bar opens until late. There is not much in the surrounding area except onsen hotels, however, there are noodle shop, sushi restaurant and drug store nearby.

We stayed at Century Marina for our first night in Hokkaido and originally chose it for its proximity to most of the sites we wanted to see in Hakodate. It's just a few minute walk from the train station with plenty of sidewalks so pulling our suitcases was no issue. The hotel also has a large parking lot if you choose to drive. It's also just a few minute walk from the warehouse district and the older area up the hill where a lot of historical embassies and churches are. The hotel's breakfast buffet is an experience itself with an extensive spread of both Japanese and Western food options. You will reserve a time slot when checking in, but even then you should expect a 10-20 minute wait in the morning to get your table, so its best to go up before your reserved time. This hotel also has one of the best rooftop onsen I've seen, with wonderful views of the whole marina and hill. When booking I didn't realize there was a hot springs so this was a nice surprise. Our room was right next to the elevator but very quiet and clean. This is a newer hotel too so everything felt very fresh and well-maintained. We checked in using Japanese, but the hotel has check-in info packets and signs in English so this is a good option for non-Japanese speaking guests as well.

There is also a direct bus from/to Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto station with a fee of ¥900/person/way. We booked a Japanese-style room with a private onsen bath facing the ocean. The view is beyond our expectation. The room is super spacious - consisting of the entrance area, sleeping area, living room, a toilet, and bath area. They are still using the actual key instead of keycards. They served some snacks, tea, free beers, bottled water and cold tea. The room we booked also provided halfboard (dinner and breakfast). The food was amazing with many varieties, including our favourites - king crabs. All was served in a buffet style so you can eat this crab as much as you want.

Nice and clean hotel. Location is right next to Hakodate JR station which is convenient. Buffet breakfast was good with wide variety of food to choose from. Room looks quite new but was quite compact for my family of 4. The negative thing was that my room didn't come with any complimentary water and there was also no housekeeping provided during my stay (They only provided a bag with fresh change of towels, coffee/tea bags to each room).
