Best Four Star Hotels in Haikou

Nicely located on the beach trail, the city sites are easily accessible by rental bikes, which can be found nearby. The bay view was splendid, worth the visit itself. Although somewhat isolated from restaurants, good dining is minutes away by taxi or bike. An on-site convenience store and local market provide basic needs, such as food and beverages. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, with abundant choices of Chinese items, eggs and breakfast meats, and cold cerel. Pastry selection was minimal. The only coffee available is the espresso machine, which was broken one morning, leaving me in a semi-conscious stupor for most of the day. The coffee shop nearby opens at 10:30, which seems to defeat the purpose of coffee. The gym was well equipped but not air conditioned. The pool was nice, but as is common in China, had insufficient chlorine to prevent the growth of green and slippery stuff in places; don't swallow this water. The 15 CNY pool fee was fair. Overall, an outstanding stay for the price.

The rooms are spacious and clean, most important the beds are good size and quite comfortable. There is a pool next door with hot tub (natural) which was nice and enjoyable. We had a three stay as we were visiting family in Haikou, I can recommend the hotel.

Hotel in good location and near mall. A lot if food and shopping. When check in to 1 of the room, smell of smoke a d ask the reception to change room. They are prompt to response and special thanks to trainee, Xiao Han, she lead me to another room on higher floor with a purify inside the room and make sure I'm OK then she leave and said anything can call her again. Appreciated.

The waiter at the front desk was friendly and helped me change my room to room 643 with good sanitary facilities, and thoughtfully delayed it by one hour. It must be a five-star praise, and I will choose this hotel next time.

Stayed here for a night. It was a pleasant stay. Hotel gave off a dated vibe which I enjoyed. Staff was courteous. Amenities were sufficient. There was also a small public hot spring facility just outside the hotel and a tub you can fill with hot spring water in hotel room. Different varieties of food served during breakfast. Location is convenient to go to qilou old street. We took a cab.

The hotel is pretty, smells really good, super clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is big, has a nice balcony, and I found it more beautiful than in the pictures. It was definitely an awesome stay. I highly recommend!

Great hotel experience. My room was upgraded and I enjoyed the view. Room is clean and I got the rack to dry my wet towel and clothes. Location is good as the bus station is just a few minutes away and easy for me to go both sides. Check in and check out is very smooth as well with a nice talk at the counter. Will definitely come back if I visit Hainan again.

Cute tourist spot during holiday. Expect the village vibe. You need to explore the neighborhood since much in Haikou is closed for renovation or construction. Just stay away from Holiday Beach. The WetLands and sports area are dilapidated. Check out local whiskey bars and mini clubs with malls or nearby parks, because traffic is bad. Lots of bikes and scooters, so be careful. Hotel has great rooms but facilities might need some update. Ayi staff always working. Lee at reception doing bilingual checking of guests. Translation with others easy. Breakfast is at the restaurant outside of the hotel. Maybe a tea time would be nice for their beautiful libby, but coffee shop is down the road. Convenient store is right next to the hotel. Each of the rooms has artifacts in them. There are Hot Springs maybe 20 to 30 minutes away, but overall it’s a basic room with a lot of character. There is a hostel nearby as well as a few cafes with limited western menu. Shopping high cost, but it’s helping the village. Great spot to visit as a foreigner in Haikou near Qilou, tower, Haidian, Wulvyuan. Suggestion for the room is that there should be instant coffee and sweeteners to go with the lovely tea and waters. Maybe some fruit also. Great holiday stop rain or shine.
