Hotels in Guilin South Railway Station/Too Square/Qintan Bus Station, Guilin

1. Location: It is very close to the Two Rivers and Four Lakes cruise ship and Xiangshan. It can be reached on foot. There are shopping malls and restaurants around, making it convenient for eating and shopping. We went to Yangshuo by boat. After contacting the travel agency in advance, it was very convenient to take a bus in front of the hotel. 2. Parking: There are very few parking spaces in front of the hotel, but there is a three-dimensional parking lot not far away. Don't worry about not having a parking space. We went to Yangshuo, and our car can still be parked in the parking lot here, which is good.

Check in was easy and location was extremely close to the main shopping district. We had a very friendly guy by the name of xiao shou help us and provide us great recommendations.

I went to Guilin for the Guilin Marathon and stayed at the Guihu Hotel. It is relatively close to the starting point of the marathon on foot. The starting point of the marathon is also the center of the main scenic spot, and the transportation is relatively convenient for travel. There are many special places to eat in the surrounding area, including restaurants and snacks. There is Tianyuan Rice Noodles about 500 meters away. Similar to being on a peninsula, the environment is relatively quiet. The service is also friendly, clean and tidy, no smell, and you can check out until 2 o'clock. Overall it's a good experience.

The room is small and has no windows. The TV cannot be projected. You can only watch TV by channel. The TV broadcast is not good. Moreover, it is not the peak tourist season and the night stay is almost 200 yuan. It feels a bit worth it. The good thing is that it is quite close to the scenic spot. It can be reached in more than ten or twenty minutes on foot. The front desk staff has a very good attitude and will always take the initiative to say hello to us when we pass by. There is a laundry room in the hotel, but it was not used. It was full every time I went there twice. If the price is cheaper, I will consider going there again next time.

Every time I come here, I get used to staying here. The transportation is convenient, it's beside the park, it's quiet, and the air is good. When I came this time, I found that the cherry blossoms and plum blossoms on the leisure lawn in front of the hotel were all beautiful. I also saw a cockfight that I had only seen on TV (I didn’t dare to take pictures at close range). The waiters here are also very warm and considerate, and it feels like going home. recommend. Anyway, I will come again.

The hotel is 21 years old and needs to be registered on the 8th floor. Ctrip arranged a pick-up for the car, and the lady at the front desk came down to help with the luggage after the driver delivered it, very considerate. The hotel is about 6 kilometers away from Xiangshan Scenic Area, and 5 kilometers away from Dongxi Lane, but the Vientiane City is downstairs, which is very convenient. The room is very clean, the configuration materials are very new, and the glass tiles are all polished and reflective. I like that it is equipped with a bathtub. The layout is very thoughtful. Because it is a festival, I told the front desk in advance and rolled two little swans for us. The smart toilet is very advanced and good. The caterpillar sofa in the room is simply YYDS! It was already night in Guilin, and I just sat on the sofa and didn't want to get up! comfortable~~ The mattress is moderately soft and hard, and it is comfortable to sleep, but the four-piece set is a bit rough. From 8:30 to 9:30 in the evening, the restaurant at the front desk has sugar water and red wine. A little suggestion: the bathtub is very clean, but it will look better with a bathtub cover. The hotel has changed the bath brand from L’Occitane, and the hair is a bit dry after washing. It is recommended to compare several brands. Overall, I am very satisfied, and the service is very good!

Guilin Trip was amazing! The Gangshe Hotel (Guilin Two Rivers and Four Lakes Xiangshan Scenic Spot) is within the city where you can find around the famouse Guilin Food and choose the best food you can see --- located just at the side of the hotel - the busy street foods, big and small restaurant, shopping mall, near to the Guilin river trip, to the park, and if you are foreigner like me who still love Mc Donalds and/or KFC but alaso love street food, its around the hotel. The hotel service was nice! they know I am foreigner and they take care the communcation with mix Chinese- English. One of the hotel staff added my wechat and we can talk in translated English - Chinese, which is awesome. They have free tea / coffee from 2:30 to 4 PM, it was nice Latte coffee blended with Chinese snacks. My room is a single bed, enough for a solo DIY traveller's with all the comfortable facilities needed to live comfortably. I suppsoed to believe that the view outside the window is the Elephant trunk or Elephan Hill as seen on the trip.com website, its about 10 minutes away by taxi + traffic. I spend the whole afternoon trekking in the elephant hill, explaining what about the stabbed elephant mountain hahaha. Absolutely loved this hotel! I thought the pictures looked a bit too good to be true for the price, but the rooms look exactly like the pictures. My friend and I booked a twin city view room to share, but upon arrival we loved it so much we changed to 2 separate queen bed, river view rooms. The service was amazing, staff spoke English and were very helpful with us changing our booking. Breakfast was delicious, the spa is amazing and I even bought some of their spa oils to take home (spa oils and eye masks are provided complimentary in the rooms). Drinks in the mini bar are also free and refilled every day. Close to everything you want to see. Hotel even arranged a car for us to go to the rice terraces. Waimai is also delivered straight to your room. Perfect, will definitely stay here again.

Excellent stay, mostly because of the employee Yan. Yan went out of their way to make sure that me , my wife and our two little kiddos had a great time. Not being able to speak Chinese well made the service even more valuable. Our room was great, breakfast was delicious, both Western and Chinese options. We look forward to staying here again, thank you for a great time!

Room: 1017 (king bed & bunk bed); duration of stay: 4 nights. Family of 4 (including 6 & 11y.o. boys) Absolutely wonderful surprise to walk into this room and see how spacious it was along with many fun features which included kids’ bunk bed and slide down one side, playhouse tent, play area with small kids table and chairs and small rocking horse. A large kids play area (open 10am – 10pm) on the same floor (level 10) along with a very basic gym i.e. 1 treadmill, a couple of indoor bikes. Most guests on level 10 kept our doors open and kids could freely roam between their hotel room and play area. There is no safe in the room although the hotel was safe and secure (cameras on each floor). Our valuables were locked in our suitcase when not in the room. A nice touch of earplugs by our bedside (although we didn’t need them) and heated/electric toilet. Both kids and adults enjoyed the room and hotel. The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. Limited English and we communicated via translate app and my 11y.o. son who speaks intermediate Chinese. Use of sunscreen and other items available for free from reception counter. The hotel is very clean. Free laundry (front loading machines and a hanging rack heated dryer) including laundry powder (located on level 8). The pool was nice however given we visited late October, a bit on the cool side with the changing season. The breakfast spread was very good with a mixture of fruit, bread, dim sum, eggs (boiled, fried, scrambled), bacon, Chinese breakfast, tea, coffee, etc. 3 items, including noodles, on the breakfast menu to obtain freshly cooked. We also ate at the restaurant for dinner twice and both meals were fantastic (we recommend the T-bone steak!). Ordering is via scanning a QR code. Limited alcoholic spirits on the dinner menu. We booked a boat tour via the hotel tour desk using the translator app. The service was good and easy. We opted to get a taxi to the boat (rather than the group van which left an hour earlier and cost RMB10pp) however upon arriving to the boat ticket office outside the boats they tried to redirect us to a different location. We communicated with the hotel tour desk via WeChat which was quick and very helpful as they sent photos of the desk we needed to be at (which was a table next door to the ticket office). The process was smooth and easy. The use of the spa is 50% off for hotel guests and from memory it opens at 3pm. Suggest to book ahead as the spa does book out quickly. The location is good; a walk away from Guilin Pagoda Hill, Elephant hill (10 min walk), Starbucks on the opposite side of the road less than 10 minute walk away, 2 KFC’s, food, taxi stand to the left of the hotel, night market, shopping, etc. Great features of this hotel: • Fun hotel and fantastic for kids • Very clean and safe • Good location • Good breakfast spread, lunch/dinner options • Taxi stand less than 1 minute walk For awareness: • SYYF has 2 locations. Taxi’s kept dropping us back at the other location. Therefore take the address in Chinese and make sure the taxi drivers read the address (not just look at the logo)
