Our room had a magnificent view of the Li River. The sightseeing spots in Guilin City were all in walkable distance of the hotel. The breakfast had a good amount of variety and you can even get the typical Guilin Rice Noodles if you want. The service was over the top (everyone was super friendly and attentive). If you have any questions the staff replies to your messages within minutes. We were asked if the breakfast is alright or if they should prepare a more western one for us. They probably also saw our bin filled with empty water bottles and provided us 1.5L bottles for free 😂 Will most certainly recommend this hotel to my friends and family and would also come myself again!

The hotel area was very nice. Huge garden with swings and a big lawn, perfect for kids to play. There is a little zoo there too with a few exotic birds and rabbits. The king size bed was enormous and very soft. We enjoyed sleeping in it a lot. The breakfast and dinner buffet had a good selection of both Chinese and western food. Bo Yin Hotel (Li River Secluded Hotel) Our visit to Guilin was to spend time with my wife’s large family and we twice stayed at the Li River Secluded hotel, for a total of 7 nights. Our expectations of a hotel experience are high, so we avoid using American chain hotels when possible. The Li River Secluded hotel more than met those expectations by combining exceptional customer service with a laid back, but luxurious guest experience. On arrival, we were offered a room upgrade. The upgrade accommodation was located on the ground floor, so this did not appeal to us until we were shown the room … the suite was spacious and tastefully furnished with a Zen motif that included a ceremonial tea table. Both my wife and I practice daily yoga, so the ample floor space immediately appealed to us. A room-width picture window featured a view of the Li River Lake and its pair of pagodas. Remote-controlled drapes and shears sound-proofed and eliminated light from the room when closed. A buffet daily breakfast on the 8th (top) floor was included and featured a good selection of both Chinese and Western options. We had family commitments that prevented us from eating dinner at the restaurant, but my wife hosted an afternoon tea session in the restaurant for some of her friends and the tea and pastries were excellent. In addition, fresh fruit was placed in the room every day, and the room refrigerator was refreshed daily with water, sodas, and snacks. The hotel was generally maintained in pristine condition and effected the highest standards of cleanliness. This applied to all the facilities apart from a small exercise room on the 5th floor. This consisted of a set of barbells (no bench), a fixed weight station (functional), and 2 treadmills, neither of which functioned properly … that said, I did use the weight station and the patio outside of the exercise room for yoga on a couple warmer days. There was also a guest laundry on the 5th floor which my wife used on one occasion. The customer service attitude in Chinese hotels is generally an improvement on what we are accustomed to in North America, but at the Bo Yin Hotel it’s exceptional. This means that English language speakers (I’m Canadian and my wife is Chinese by birth) would experience no problem in addressing any of the front desk, maid, or restaurant personnel. For those who prefer to order take-out food, a robotic delivery service is used, a feature that tends to fascinate any child you might be traveling with. Sean Bennett

Amazing hotel, I guess it has been renovated recently . The room is magnetic, and the staff can speak English quite well . Swimming pool, jacuzzis (3 of them), sauna and steam room, excellent gym with table tennis 🏓 equipments makes this property and excellent place to stay. Breakfast was excellent as I am a huge fan of Chinese food, not much of western food, but there are kids station, bread, coffee (good one) , sausage and bacon, and several other options of pastries such as croissants and danish. Thanks XiaoWu小伍 for the amazing service guiding us around the rooftop, taking pictures of us, and giving assistance providing all the important information on how to enjoy the hotel facilities . the only bad thing is the costumers , a huge amount of them smoke everywhere although there are signs saying the whole property is forbidden to smoke. The hotel should remove the ashtrays in front of the elevators . Unfortunately it is a problem in China when you go to hotels and makes very unpleasant the shared ventilation bringing smoking smell into other people’s room.

The TV remote control in the room could not be selected. I called the front desk to ask about the TV situation and the WIFI password. The front desk lady impatiently told me that the TV can be operated by intelligent voice and WIFI password. Regarding the problems reported by customers, the hotel did not arrange for personnel to come to the door in time to check whether they had been solved. 3. The hair dryer in the room is broken. 4. There is a height difference between the hotel lobby and the elevator to the room (there are three steps), and there is no luggage walkway. The room twists left and right. It is probably the former KTV building that has been renovated for accommodation. No one dares to leave the room.

The location of the homestay is very good. It is just across the river from the downtown area on the edge of the Li River. It takes only 10 minutes to walk to the East and West Alleys. The style of the room is simple in Japanese style. Sitting on the rooftop on the top floor, drinking a cup of coffee and watching the sunset blowing the breeze is so comfortable! The service is really intimate and sincere. We are young people, so the Raiders are almost done, but in the store, we saw a pair of uncles and aunts around 60 years old who were consulting for travel. The housekeeper was very patient and told them how to play Guilin to help them avoid the pit. All in all, it's great!

The house is by the river. It's big and quiet. The apricots provided by the store are so sweet. The breakfast is delicious. I love choosing this place when traveling! The lady at the front desk was very enthusiastic and helped us book a chartered car to the Longji Rice Terraces, a cruise to Yangshuo, an evening cruise to the two rivers and four lakes, etc. The prices were very reasonable. A very satisfying experience. The breakfast was rich in variety. I had Guilin rice noodles. The housekeeper was also very enthusiastic. He helped us take our luggage to the room and introduced the Fly Restaurant where locals eat. It tastes delicious and is very affordable. The location is right.
