The light switches in my room only turned on a desk lamp in the corner, and I ordered a queen size bed but the room was only a full size bed. Otherwise it was a fine spot to sleep

The hotel was so cute and full of character! Loved the aesthetic, and the different bars at the hotel were awesome. Staff were super friendly and helpful too. Will definitely book again.

So there were no two bed options but the bunk beds and considering I was with my mom I thought this would be a fun mother daughter experience. So the lighting in the lobby and hallways was too dark when we checked in late at night. Like I get a vibe but folks shouldn’t almost trip over tables. It was Saturday night and so there was a lot of noise but gratefully the door/rooms seemed soundproof. So the bunk bed room is small. The heater did not work so they brought up a space heater. The handle to the shower fell off while twisting it and the curtains surrounding each bed were off the track. There is a phone on the wall but I was told it was decoration, what? 👀 I slept on the top bunk and the bed was comfortable enough but getting out of it was treacherous. My mom said her bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. Overall, this is a hotel for couples and singles who are having a night on the town. I would perhaps stay here with my husband but The Siren is not a family friendly hotel. Also the cost was kind of ridiculous but this was the most economical option for an overnight stay in downtown Detroit.

Ease of valet - walked across the street to the Opera House for our show .
Our thermostat would not increase for heating temperature, I guess that is why there was a space heater in our cabinet. Lack or outlets in the room but I guess that is to be expected in an old building. Light switches failed to operate any of the light fixtures but all the switches worked hands on the fixtures.

It was hard to disquience the entrance. It's a very small door that says Valet Parking. And once inside there's big gearing holes in the ceiling near the entrance. Staff was very customer friendly and room was very nice and clean. But, the ice and A** are way down in the basement near the kitchen door. Which is mind boggling to me and a little unsafe for female clients.It's a nice boutique hotel.

Friendly, helpful staff gave lots of tips for getting our choices of bars and restaurants in the area. The hotel has this great, low-key vibe: eclectic furniture, understated lighting, incredibly comfortable bed and bedding. It's a unique space, completely unlike cookie-cutter chain hotels. Would happily stay again.

We tend to stay at eccentric and interesting hotels when we travel. The Siren initially has that appeal, but lack-luster execution on many elements.
Pro: The location to many coveted Downtown Detroit venues is a major perk.
The cons: There was mildew in the shower, a bandaid stuck on the side of shower, the light switches did not work, the tv remote did not work (this got resolved, but I had to call multiple times).
The price of the room did not equal the quality.
