Chiang Mai Homestays

I stayed at the hotel for a couples of days. The hotel was very near to the airport it is 5-10 mins drive. Next to the hotel there is a shopping mall ( central airport chiangmai) you can pretty much get everything from there. Talking about the room, reception were a bit slow as there was only one working she have to run up and down. The room were large and equipped. By equipped i mean the room was provided with every need from stove,pan knife,rice cooker basically all the kitchen tool you might ever asked for. You can buy grocery and cook in your room. There is even a wifi in the room. Toilet groceries were provided. And the room clean between session is good. Love it. Recommended to anyone who wanted to stay. Will go back again soon !!

What a hidden gem tucked in behind the Central Airport Plaza (they actually have a door at the back of the building leading directly to the Central parking lot). This convenience alone made it worthwhile. But, on top of that there is the 17.5-meter-long swimming pool, a gym, and a business center downstairs. The apartment is also a treat, with huge smart TV s in the living and bedroom, a proper shower, and a tub, with a separate toilet. Not to forget the fully equipped kitchen, which has everything we needed to cook own meals, but who needed that with two food courts available just a 3-minute walk to the mall. Service was a pleasure, with management and housekeeping always making sure we had everything could possibly need. We love it so much here; we have decided to stay for another two months. Tip: Choose a room facing the mountain/airport - it's quieter than the street side. The airport is quieter than one would imagine, as you only hear them when they give a short burst of thrust when they take off.

The decoration and room style of the homestay are very girlish, especially the tiles in the room. Although it is a windowless room, it is complete with all the organs and the bed is clean and comfortable. In addition to the design of the toilet sink is not very reasonable, the rest is very good. The clothes can be dryed to the balcony on the roof. But the balcony is unscreened and does not rule out the possibility of raining at night. Auntie is also very polite, will ask if you need to clean the room, if you don't need it, you will put paper towels and two bottles of water at the door, will not disturb the guests. Speaking of the location, although on the edge of the ancient city, I personally feel that it is very convenient to have a grab anywhere. The location of the hotel driver can accurately arrive and pick up, so I don't feel remote. Walking to Tha Pae Gate and Sunday night market are completely ok, and it won't be noisy to live here. 7:30-10:00 Every morning is breakfast time. The boss will say it clearly before check-in. The breakfast variety is quite good for this price accommodation. The toast instant noodles are served with various sauces, coffee, milk and hot water. I love toast bread here, very good! Finally, the little fat brother at the front desk should be the boss, very polite, will chat with us and will also carry our luggage for us, in short, I am very happy to live here for two days, Chiang Mai is a leisurely city, it is worth going again, if you stay, you don't have to consider it, recommend everyone to come here!

2 month stay. Nice rooms, good beds, AC, fridge, TV. Good shower. Cleaned every day. Very nice breakfast every day with a Thai option freshly cooked, fruit, cereal coffee , milk etc. Su, the owner is incredibly helpful. Great laundry service. Great location in the NE side inside the Old City. Great value. Impersonal corridors and not a place to sit in the lobby etc (no lobby) but as a base. Its great! Very good wifi

This is our second visit to Chiang Mai. This time my wife and I stayed in The White Elephant Home for two nights. The location is great, very close to old city, only several minutes’ walk. I prefer to stay outside the old city for quiet, clean and comfortable neighbourhood. We booked a room for two and they upgraded us to a family room for three. The room is spacious, new and clean with a lovely balcony. The interior and exterior match the photos and description on the website. Breakfast is freshly cooked and is delicious. We enjoyed it in the lovely garden. The staff are nice and helpful, they have friendly smiles all the time. They speak good English and provided useful information to us in buying Green bus ticket to Chiang Rai. I didn't drive this time but I saw them providing car covers to guests and helped to cover and to remove it. Will definitely stay in The White Elephant Home again if we visit Chiang Mai again. Highly recommend!

Good points : great location (walking distance from the old town and near lots of great bars and places to eat), nice, friendly staff and quirky decor. Negative points : room lacking some basic facilities (which would be really easy to add). There was nowhere to put your clothes, except 4 wall hooks. We were there 8 days so would have really liked to have been able to unpack a bit. No mirror or dressing table area in the bedroom. The kettle plug didn’t reach a power socket from any of the surfaces, so I had to hold it while it boiled. There were quite a few holes in the bed linen and towels (pictures attached). The room was really clean when we checked in but wasn’t cleaned that well once we were there (especially the bathroom and shower plug area which got blocked and wouldn’t drain properly) We had to complain about the cleanliness and, fair pay to the staff, they did rectify this straight away. Note - we stayed in one of the double, upstairs rooms with a balcony, it’s got light blue decor. Overall, this could be a great place if a little more thought and ‘love’ was put into it.

We have had a great stay, the rooms are clean and spacious, the hotel is close to the night bizarre and I think also walked easily to the old area of chiang mai from here. There is no lift and a lot of stairs, but this was no problem for us. The staff are great and a simple breakfast is available daily. The air con wasent very good... could be a issue in the hotter months. Would happily stay here again.

I like it very much, it is very good... This is my first time staying in one! Next time I go to Chiang Mai, I will continue to live in Baranich! The proprietress is very polite...the service is also very good!

The location is a relatively quiet area in the ancient city. There are roadside stalls just a few minutes away. 711 is also very close. Breakfast is not provided but there is a kitchen where you can cook by yourself. I think this is not very operable and few people will go to buy food and cook by themselves. When I placed an order on Ctrip, I deliberately saw that there are toiletries on it, so I didn’t bring toothbrush and toothpaste, but after I went there, the management staff of the inn said that they didn’t provide these, but I had to go to 711 to buy them. There is a building at the gate, but I changed to the inside one because I was afraid of noisy. But I didn’t expect that some people were chatting and laughing downstairs in the middle of the night and it was so noisy. Maybe it was one of the guests who stayed in, but I didn’t have it for the next two days. I saw that people other than the two of us and the management staff were relatively close to Thapae Gate and walked for about 9 minutes to go out and take a ride to buy things. Remember to bargain, especially buying clothing accessories and earrings at Thapae Gate. The price is hard to say. The bedroom is not big and there is a small living room similar to the tatami. Downstairs is a sofa and recliner. It’s beautiful. I like this Lanna style. When I left, I didn’t clean things and troubled Tingting a few times. Thank you very much and cleaning up. My aunt apologized for the first time I went to Thailand. I didn’t know the tip. I left 35 coins in the room when I didn’t know the tip. I’m very sorry

The place (outside your room) is just fabulous, with plants, flowers and trees everywhere! You can sit in this quiet, silent environment and feel just as relaxed as inside your room, even better! The rooms are huge and very clean. I recommend room 3! The buffet breakfast is limited but for the price you pay, it is still excellent value! Unfortunately the TV and the safe had problems.
