We stayed at Lotus Bungalows for only one night while on a motorbike trip around Bali. We really liked this place. Our room was lovely, with a comfy bed beachy decor and light and bright. The bathroom was really nice. It is an outdoor bathroom but private. There were lots of fresh flowers placed around the room. We had great views from the windows too. The pool area is fantastic. You look out over the ocean. The restaurant is fantastic too. We enjoyed our dinner and breakfast. We had a walk in the morning. The main road has a good footpath (for Bali) so you can walk in either direction. There is not a lot of restaurants around but if you have a bike, or like to walk, you could get to the busier area of Chandidasa, however you could easily eat at the resort restaurant each night as the food is very good with a varied menu. The staff are wonderful too. We had trouble with the wifi and my husband had a zoom meeting. The staff helped us connect to the wifi in another part of the property and he was able to sit on a verandah and be a part of his meeting. We would definitely stay here again.

We could not help but return to this great local restaurant many times during our stay in Candi Dasa. Situated right on the beach with wonderful views and friendly, helpful staff. We worked our way through the menu trying most things and we didn't have a single bad experience. Outstanding dishes were the sate babi (pork) bought to the table on a little charcoal burner, juicy and tender, the pork schnitzle, again tender and succulent. The nasi goreng was great a little bit spicy if you want, and the soto ayam, (chicken soup with noodle) rich and tasty. The prices were very reasonable and they staff were happy to assist in any way, often sharing a joke and helping with our poor language skills. I would highly recommend this place if you want to enjoy authentic Indonesian food in a spectacular setting.

A pleasant hotel. We found the staff to be helpful. We stayed in an upstairs room with a new mattress which was clean. Big plus is w they provide filtered water in a jug rather than bottled. The restaurant food was a little bland a but you can get a reasonable breakfast or dinner. The pool and gardens are well maintained . The view and access to the lotus lagoon is excellent.

What a little gem this is!, I have travelled with a group around Bali and lombok. Some of the hotels I have stayed in are still catching up on customer service, but not this one. They are totally up to speed… or even ahead ! the customer service was superb!, from welcome drinks, being shown to the room, shown all the facilities and feeling very looked after from the moment I walked in! Staff know the customer names, plates come with your names on it and the food was excellent. The food is so well presented, everywhere is so clean and tidy and the staff are so attentive . I would come back here in a heartbeat!, please congratulate all of the staff working here for all of their superb efforts! It was the best customer service that I experienced in my whole two weeks of travelling and the hotel, its grounds are beautiful, all kept superbly clean and tidy. Regards Kim .

Booked two rooms back in January to travel in October, as both parties have mobility issues I requested two ground floor rooms close to the pool area, I was very pleased to receive an e-mail shortly afterwards confirming that my request would be no problem at all. On arriving at the hotel I was very surprised to be told our rooms were on the first and second floors, this was totally not acceptable due to the very steep steps that have large risers and both parties could not manage these. After much discussion and showing of e-mails eventually we got one ground floor room and a promise of the other one in three days time, although this was not great it was the best we could do in the short term, three days later we did get the second ground floor room as promised but not a good start to our break. The hotel itself is a short walk from the main street in Candidasa where most of the shops and restaurants are, some restaurants will provide a free shuttle service locally. The whole hotel is now a bit dated and showing signs of age, quite a few of the sunbeds need repairing. The staff are very friendly and helpful and always smiling and saying hello. We had breakfast included in our deal, which was ordered and cooked fresh, the hotel has direct access to a small beach and there is some nice snorkelling to be had but needs to be high tide as it does get very shallow when the tide is out. You can see lovely sunsets from here most evenings. There are massages available near the pool at reasonable prices, but we prefer to have them in town as it is more comfortable in air conditioning. I don't think we will be travelling back to Bali, but if we did, I think we would use another hotel in this area as there are so many to choose from.

Our travel group of 12 had the opportunity to enjoy a fabulous stay at the Watergarden Hotel while enjoying a quilting seminar and retreat on the property as well. The hotel served as our home away from home while we toured in the Candidasa area and also had quilting lessons at the hotel. Our rooms and linens were very comfortable. Filtered water was available to us daily as well as a hot pot so we could have coffee in our room in mugs provided in our hotel room while watching the coi our private coi pond while we slowly began our day. We had hot water every day in a luxurious in room shower. We ate breakfast and lunch in the hotel dining room everyday. Our group ordered this a day ahead and our breakfast and lunch not only was beautiful and delicious was provided piping hot, on time every day. The most delightful thing about this that the staff’s enthusiasm and friendliness was demonstrated continually. After the first day, they all knew my name and the rest of our party of twelves names! I forgot to mention that they also for a nominal fee did a load of laundry for me which was impeccably done, folded and smelled fantastic on the same day I left it with the front desk. All of this superb service attention to detail starts with one key element, an employee named Puta. She introduced herself to our group when we checked in coming to each of our rooms to let us know to contact her if we needed anything. From spa appointment which (I highly recommend you do as many as possible while you are there) as well as addressing any questions we had. She also came and picked up 3 guests who didn’t want to continue activities in Candidasa and took them back to the hotel. She also helped us hire Balinese dancers for our final evening dinner which we had at the hotel that was delicious, intimate and wonderful for our group. Thanks to the entire staff for making our visit to Bali so wonderful! We will be back!
