Srilankan Airlines introduction

Previously known as Air Lanka, SriLanka Airlines is the national flag carrier of Sri Lanka and operates out of Bandaranaike International Airport in the capital, Colombo. Their fleet of 21 Airbus aircraft takes direct flights to major cities in Asia, Australasia, the Middle East, North America and Europe and the airline offers a number of codeshare flights to additional cities in the regions. SriLanka Airlines also has a sports tourism and MICE tourism department, facilitating sports travel and business events in South Asia. For those traveling Sri Lanka, the company operates SriLankan Air Taxi service, which allows travelers to tour Sri Lanka by plane.

  • West Airlines, or simply West Air, is better known worldwide as China West Air. From their hub in Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, China West Air offers domestic China flights. A part of the Fortune Wings Club, China West Air offers passengers benefits to other member airlines including Hainan Airlines and Hong Kong Airlines.

  • Hong Kong Airlines was founded in 2001 under the name CR Airways before changing its name to Hong Kong Airways in 2006. The airline has a fleet of 26 planes and services 24 destinations. Their logo is centered around the bauhinia flower, a native species to Hong Kong.

  • Hebei Airlines, formerly branded Northeast Airlines and based in Shenyang, has flights from Shijiazhuang, Hebei, their main hub, as well as other China flight routes. The ambitious airline is also looking to add international flights.

  • With one of the most comprehensive global route networks in the world, United Airlines has non-stop flights from cities across the United States as well as flights to Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East and Latin America. United Airlines operates hubs in 10 cities, including the four largest cities in the United States. For those traveling to China, United Airlines offers non-stop flights between New York and Beijing as well as non-stop flights between New York and Shanghai. Passengers also benefit from United Airlines status as a Star Alliance member, gaining a number of benefits from the worldwide network.

  • Xiamen Airlines was the first private airline operating in China. The airline's main hubs are Xiamen, Fuzhou and Hangzhou. Xiamen Airlines operates 210 routes to over 50 major cities including Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and Southeast and Northeast Asia.

  • Juneyao Airlines is a Shanghai-based Chinese airline. It is a relatively new airline, having begun operations in 2005, and offers 22 planes that serve 32 destinations around China.
