Master of the Nets Garden (网师园)

The smallest but most renowned Suzhou garden, the Master of the Nets Garden welcomes visitors into another world. Lattice windows within the residence perfectly frame scenes of delicate flowers and bamboo outside while elaborate rock gardens complement adjacent fish ponds.

Panmen Gate (盘门)

The Pan Gate forms part of the Pan Gate Scenic Area, built by the Wu State during the spring and autumn period. Its history dates back to 514 AD. It is also the only ancient city wall still intact in Suzhou.

Shantang Street (山塘街)

Shantang Street was a highly developed cultural and trading street during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Here you will have the opportunity to stroll down the 3.5 km-long (2.17 mi) renovated street which runs parallel to the canal and is flanked by shops and buildings characteristic of old Suzhou.
