Just south of Hangzhou's famous West Lake, Longjing village produces dragon well tea, one of the finest green teas in China. Enjoy a 6-hour tour that takes you to Longjing where you learn all about this celebrated tea. Your knowledgeable guide takes you to see the China National Tea Museum, Eighteen Imperial Tea Bushes, Meijiawu Tea Village and Hupao Spring, each place revealing another aspect of this fine tea. You'll also cruise on UNESCO World Heritage-listed West Lake, and enjoy lunch at a restaurant run by tea farmers.

9:30 a.m. Hangzhou downtown hotel/ Hangzhou Railway Station pickup.

Start this amazing day tour in Hangzhou with a boat ride on the famous West Lake.

10:00 a.m. Boat ride on the West Lake (Xīhú Yóuchuán, 西湖游船) (about 1.5 hours)

West Lake is a UNESCO World Heritage site and perhaps Hangzhou's most famous attraction. Relax amid enchanting scenery as your guide points out historic pagodas, Chinese-style arched bridges, tree-lined walkways, green islands and lush gardens. Behind the lake, you will know the beautiful love stories and have a chance to see some top ten west lake sceneries, like Su Causeway, Broken bridge and so on.

11:30 a.m. China National Tea Museum (中国茶叶博物馆) (about 40 minutes)

Move on to the China National Tea Museum, the only national museum dedicated to tea. The National Tea Museum is not only an exhibition center of Chinese tea culture but also a professional facility to collect tea cultural relics and materials.

12:30 p.m. Lunch (1 hour)

We can organize tea farmers teach you how to prepare and cook local delicacies if you are interested in it. You can learn how to cook Lotus root, bamboo shoot...and many other tasty vegetables. If you don't want to cook, just enjoy the local delicacies.

1:30 p.m. Eighteen Imperial Tea Bushes (Shíbā Kē Yùcháshù, 十八颗御茶树) (about 30 minutes)

Then visit Eighteen Imperial Tea Bushes with famous Longjing tea. Longjing tea was granted the status of "Imperial Tea" in Qing Dynasty by Chinese Emperor Kangxi. Emperor Qianlong was also so impressed by the Longjing tea produced here that he conferred a special imperial status on those 18 tea bushes. The bushes continue producing premium Longjing tea and the tea they produce is auctioned annually for higher price per gram than gold.

3:00 p.m. Meijiawu Tea Village (Méijiā Wū, 梅家坞) (about 1 hour)

Move on to Tea farmer's house at Meijiawu Tea Village, which is considered one of the most important Longjing tea productions in China where you can learn more about their special tea culture. At the Tea House, you may learn how to make the Longjing Tea including tea leaves picking, frying and tasting.

4:00 p.m. Qinghefang Street (Qīnghéfǎng Jiē, 清河坊街) (about 1 hour)

The last stop is Qinghefang Street. With brilliant culture and long history, it is regarded as a typical symbol of ancient Hangzhou. It represents the old story and showcases the folk culture of Hangzhou, which is an ideal place for shopping, to buy souvenirs, taste local snacks as well as savor the beautiful artifacts.

5:00 p.m. Return to Hangzhou Railway Station or downtown hotel.
