Arrived late (wee hours) due to my flight and upon arriving in the hotel, was met by a very rude security who does not allow our cab to alight us beside the hotel but rather a distance. Found out that the security does not work for the hotel. Upon check in, the staff was rather impatient as it was the wee hours but they did service recovery very quickly. Very clean rooms and staff was exceptionally friendly helping with the navigation, especially Wison, who was so patient.

The hotel is great, but the bar hasn't opened yet. The hotel has a small plywood and a scale! ! ! The girl was ecstatic. Some of the reviews said that the soundproofing was not good, so she specially requested a room with good soundproofing. There was no sound to disturb her sleep. The location of the hotel is also great, with Bell Tower Community, Big and Small Study Alleys and Sajinqiao snacks nearby. The street is also very close to the city wall. It's great. I will stay here next time I come to Xi'an. However, I didn't find the disposable bag for soaking in the bathtub in the room. Oh, by the way, the hotel also has bath towels!

Excellent hotel in good location, room very well appointed. Stay was especially comforting with the warm level of service by hotel staff. I would like to commend front office staff 孙陆who spent time in helping my wife and I set up WeChat DIDI and giving us his personal number to call at any time if we encountered issues. The morning breakfast service staff, 尹改利 and her teammates are happy in serving and awesome, making our 6.30am breakfast a great start for the day. Thank you 尹改利 & your colleagues for the wonderful breakfast mornings. Eastern House is fortunate to have such hardworking and enthusiastic employees. I stayed here for one night while traveling in Xi'an. Someone recommended it before and said that this hotel has a good environment. After arriving, I found that the environment is not bad. The advantage is that it is relatively close to the city center. But to be honest, I don’t recommend it for traveling, because this hotel is not close to any subway station. The nearest two subway stations take about 20 minutes to walk. It is not feasible to take a taxi, because there is a road nearby that is jammed all year round. If you take a taxi, Just wait for ten minutes over there. The environment in the room is okay, and the size is okay, but it is very hot. It is so hot that I need to open the windows at night, but after opening the windows at night, it is extremely noisy outside. The staff are all in traditional dress and we were put in a lovely room of a very big size I think we were upgraded which was so nice, breakfast was Chinese style and very nice. Only issue was the hot water wasn’t heating up very well so couldn’t have a bath. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel definitely has a 1950s luxury vibe, it's a part of a large Renmin Square hotel complex that share some facilities (notably a great swimming pool in the next building). The location is great, walking distance to the city centre and like 7 min from metro. The hotel made a mistake in my booking and upgraded me to a suite as a result (which was nice but that room was not ready so I had to wait). The suite was nice, with a comfortable bed and pretty much twice everything I needed. Also two wifis - only the Renmin one worked, the hotel one recommended by reception did not work at all. The room had like 20 switches next to the bed, I picked the 'Night' one - bad surprise, it also switches off the bedside socket so I woke up to a discharged phone.

This is an overall excellent hotel with a very comfy new room, free soft drinks, Nespresso type machine and pods that were topped up every day. Breakfast was pretty decent and thankfully not overly salty like so much northern food. It also has a good laundry room with industrial grade LG washers and dryers. Plus points - friendly helpful staff, great room amenities, decent breakfast Minus - the afternoon tea was a joke, it looked nothing like the advertised pics, and was just some processed biscuits, slices of bread to make your own toast and instant coffee sachets! The nightly supper was always only porridge and there was never any noodles as they advertised. Also beware of the day tour company that is linked with the hotel, the sales person (surnamed Ma) is very pushy. Booked a small group tour supposed to be no mode than 12 paxs but in the end when we arrived at 兵马俑，we were combined with another group and there was almosy 30 of us! Also tour guide misrepresented a VR short film as an actual tour of parts of Emperor Qin's mausoleum. Absolute nonsense. Then on the way back in the bus tried to push us to buy souvenirs. Twice during the tour, they ”processed” us through jade sales rooms, once after lunch and again after the Terracotta army tour. A very sub-par experience and tarnishes the Mercure name by being linked with them.

The first time I came to Xi'an, I stayed at Yaduo in Dayan Pagoda. This time I stayed at Yaduo on Huimin Street. The quality of Yaduo is still very guaranteed.
