Best Western Plus Truckee-Tahoe Hotel

Passable place to sleep. Sp****ly furnished. Who picked those goofy lamps - took a while to figure out how to turn them on. Needs more USB ports. Friendly staff. How about a glass for the bathroom instead of a mug from some diner. Great price. Not enough blankets on the beds.

Our room was quiet, very clean, with comfortable bed, great water pressure, nice size refrigerator and freezer. The complimentary breakfast included continental items, as well as scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, chorizo burritos, make-your-own waffles, and more. Friendly staff. Conveniently located a few minutes from Northstar. We'll definitely stay again.

There is no table to sit at break fast Kaos not properly se up…. Pay to much money not to enjoy the break fast.

Overall Good hotel with convenient location. Clean rooms and facilities. Good value for the money

I was very disappointed with the receptionist who tried to open my door in the middle of the night because she thought it was empty. She was extremely rude and told me their team accidentally put my information to a different room. I’m not staying here again.

Breakfast is ok but person serving it makes portions so small and the fruit salad was no good looked like they reused old cut up fruit. The only housekeeping person that did good was a red headed Mexican gal she was amazing and fast. Others lied and said they could not get in maybe because our door malfunctioning was an issue but instead said we did not let her in we were gone for hours and nothing was done had to go get towels and toilet paper from front desk. When we were leaving we told the housekeeping ladies it was super slick in back and my husband almost fell multiple time she said the guy who does that was not at work that day. So they seamed to not care! The other gal in the breakfast area though was always super nice though and helped us and was always friendly saying good morning and smiling. Some of the front desk people seemed unfriendly some were amazing. Our time there was more for relaxation and some site seeing but mostly to relax. I did like the fact the hot tube was open even in the cold it did wonders for cold and hot therapy! Just did not know where to get towels so took the ones from the fitness room. No one told us where to get them. This was good for last minute find but will probably go to another place if staying for more than a night to have more to offer for a longer stay. First time staying in Truckee so now know for future where I will stay or not stay.

The morning counter female employee knew all about the local transit system. We called the eve we were checking in from truckee asking what bus we take and where we got off and she did not know. It would be very helpful for all staff to have access to this info. We were pretty much stranded in downtown for 2 hours with no info on how to get to the hotel. We will return because we were only there to sleep one night. Looks like the hotel has some very nice amenities.

We arrived around 1am to a sign at the front desk that said they were away for the next hour. We tried calling the front desk number and nobody answered. We ended up leaving and getting a last minute hotel at a different location.
