Nilaveli Beach Resort - Level 1 Certified

On our arrival day I wanted to call in hotel because we needed late check in. I was calling at leat 6 times, wrote messages on whatsapp, but noone answer me the phone. Than I had to found another phone number on website and after few try finely they answer me the phone. In first room what we get was not working AC controler so We had to move to another room. The room was demage and old not as at the photos. The bonus on this Room was cockroaches !!! We heard them from wands. We had them in bathroom. And we found them in our luggages !!! On the next they we went to the beach. The beach was absolutely disgusting !! Full of plastic bottles and trash ! We had to clean the whole beach with another guests by our own hands. Noone from staff helped us ! They saw as the geusts which was paying for stay claning they own private hotel beach. Than I talked with one emoloyer why is beach so dirty and when they gonna clean the beach and the answer was i must to talk with manager. I said I want to speak with him but nothing happend. Then they said they gonna clean beach next day and nothing happend again !! This resort definitely doesnt worth for this money !! If you thinking about book this hotel, my advice is dont do its waste on money !!

The hotel was spotless, from the sparkling beach to the cozy rooms. It felt like a home away from home, perfect for kids and grown-ups alike (there were 20 of us). From yummy breakfasts to satisfying dinners, the food didn’t disappoint us. The Nilaveli beach itself was stunning, even in the off-season. We loved building sandcastles and taking strolls along the shore. The pool was a hit with the kids, especially when the ocean waves were too rough. Although we couldn't do all the water activities we hoped for, the hotel had a peaceful atmosphere that helped us unwind and truly relax.

Restaurant serves lovely food, I would say 5* well above their star rating. Bedroom was very comfortable. Hotel pool was lovely. Nice to see the local monkeys and a monitor lizard on site. The each was fantastic. We hired a local boat with guide and took a spin around a lagoon with mangroves about 1/2km from the hotel. It was fantastic, so many species of bird we even saw the remains of a river crocodile it was amazing.

Excellent hotel. Excellent facilities. Rooms clean and well equipped. Staff very friendly - happy to meet your expectations. Beautiful sandy beach covered with tropical vegetation. With your bare feet you can walk safely throughout the property. Good value for money. Well worth spending your holiday there.

Lovely wooden chalets on a beautiful deserted beach. Sadly we only had one night at the Nilaveli Beach Resort, we would have loved to have stayed longer. We found the staff friendly and efficient at all times. The chalets are clean, have all we needed and really comfortable beds. The only drawback is that they are on the dark side and do not have great sound proofing to the next door. The restaurant was excellent with a good choice of Sri Lankan and Western options. Delicious breakfast with fresh pastries from the visiting Choon Pan Man! The beach really is deserted until the fishing nets are hauled in, then it becomes a hive of activity and it is fascinating watching the landing of the nets.

A fantastic resort with amble features. we enjoyed the stay through out. The staffs are exceptionally friendly and helpful. food & service are great. Resort has sports area , Beautifull view clean pool with sea breeze Rooms are large and very comfortable with balcony to relax. Hotel provides various transportation including group travel buy luxury coach I Highly recommend for family and large groups.

Bad experience in this hotel. The score is fake. The staff is not professional and not ethical. We had a great journey but this hotel and staff was very bad. We never had such a bad experience. Incredible :-( They should really have a training how to clean and how to treat customers.

Stunning setting right on the beach - very peaceful hotel. We had a relaxing few days doing very little! We all enjoyed watching the local fisherman bring in their catch! Nice mix of Sri Lankan food and western food.

We spent here 5 nights as part of a 3,5 week trip around Sri Lanka. Really a very nice hotel, spacious rooms all with beach/sea view; super friendly staff who all are working hard to give their guests a wonderfull time. Nice restaurant with a wide variety of food which is all well prepared, if weather allows dinner is served on the beach in a beautiful setting. We enjoyed our stay very much!
