Hotels near Taiyuan Chorography Compile Committee in Taiyuan

Good hotel occupying 2 floors of a commercial building in the city. Easy access to pedestrian mall, eateries and food stalls right in front of hotel. Our room was even equipped with a small washing machine! Ample supply of drinking water much appreciated. Housekeeping staff number 072 was courteous and helpful keeping our 3 rooms clean and well kept. Only setback to this hotel is no porterage nor ramp available and we had to carry our big bags up the steps to the main lobby.

[Location] The location is excellent, with Wenying Park to the west and Wuyi Shopping Center to the east. It is very convenient for dining, shopping, and walking after meals. 10 minutes drive from Taiyuan Station. Friendly reminder: Although the bus only has less than two stops, it is still a long way to walk (a lesson learned from personal experience) [Facilities] The facilities of a relatively new hotel must look old, but they are very clean and functionally maintained. I think they are up to standard. Moreover, the hotel itself has a sense of age and history, and the facilities are also very unified. [Style Features] The hotel itself is a historical attraction, especially the night view is very, very beautiful. After arriving in Taiyuan on the first day, I spent the afternoon and evening directly at the hotel. The hotel's own restaurant is very good, with authentic Shanxi cuisine. It is recommended to arrive early if you want to taste it, as the queue will be serious after 7 o'clock. [Summary] It was a very good stay experience. I stayed in the off-season in January, and the price was 500 per day including two breakfasts. It is worth recommending. Overall Rating 8/10

This is a nice hotel in the vicinity of the train station. You can literally walk out of the train station and to the hotel. We were lucky and received an upgrade upon arrival. The staff are friendly and helpful and could speak to us in English. The hotel also has a nice convenience store in the lobby. The room is big, clean and cozy. The hotel is a little far out from the city centre but thankfully it’s just a short drive away.

位置離鐘樓街非常近，大概步行15分鐘，在市中心，周邊非常繁華，交通便利，離太原市火車站需要一個起步價8元，距離太原高鐵站的話需要駕車20分鐘，房間面積很大，大概有38個平方，新開業的，設施設備非常不錯，房間電視也可投屏，高速上網，可滿足商務出行以及旅行的要求，早餐非常豐盛，房費+早餐，打包預訂性價比很高，外出有帶小孩子，1.4m以下免費，門口有免費的的停車位，但是停車位不是很多，早到早停，另外前台的服務員超級好，有送隨手的小禮包，本次住宿選擇希爾頓歡朋為山西之旅增加了不一樣的體驗，山西很好，以後還來。

This is going to be a very long review 😂. I arrived there a little earlier than the check-in time which luckily they didn't let me wait and attended to me, checking in took quite some time and I had no idea cash was not accepted so there was a lot of back and forth before finally accepting. Now I was ready to pay and I almost shouted from the amount they mentioned, claiming I was to pay a deposit of almost 2K in addition to the full amount of the total days I had to be there and that I would get it back when I check out. So now I was confused about the meaning of deposit here😂 and I explained I did not see any such information which they claimed its a policy and that was the fault of Trip.com. So they now said okay I could reduce the deposit to 1K and I just started laughing cos I only had an extra 1.2K for Miscellaneous cos the next day was my birthday so if I give you that money then I'm not going to be eating for all the days I would be there. So I ended up giving them about 600.....I got to my room and it was beautiful that made me a little calm and try to get over my frustration. Now there was no notice on the fridge so I thought the things in there were complimentary 🤣 and unfortunately I think the A.C was broken and it was quite uncomfortable so after several calls (trying to get someone who could speak English hmmmm) even after a supposed repairman came to check it out it still was hot af, they finally changed my room 🤦🏽‍♀️. I finally was able to move my things to the other room at the other end of the hall cos I had already unpacked and taken a shower. Then there it was, an even more beautiful room with an incredible view😍 which I was glad to had moved cos I hated the view in the previous room. At that moment I was already frustrated and just wanted to sleep but I later received a fruit platter which they said was free and I was like and are the things in the fridge free too cos I'd seen the drinks list with prices so my stupid self thought that was to buy incase I needed extra. They said NO they're not and here I had already drank a bottle of juice and chocolate from the previous room in addition to the new room😂. Now I started calculating and I knew my deposit was gone. To be honest I was disappointed as to whether it was carelessness on my part or Trip.com didn't give much details. I just slept. Next day, during the afternoon I received a call from the manager wishing me a happy birthday and also from the restaurant that they were bringing me a cake, so I just decided to get over everything and enjoy my free cake at least 😂. I received the cake and a gift and it was nice and I was actually impressed by the effort they put into making my day special ❤️. Unfortunately I wasn't able to go to the pool or see any other part of the hotel cos of the whole experience I wasn't really feeling it. But overall I loved the place and the view was incredible and after explaining things to the manager the next day, she apologized for the miscommunication and didn't charge me for the minibar and also I got my deposit back. Hopefully I might visit again someday and I will be prepared next time so I'm not taken by any surprises.

This time I came to Taiyuan for the second time. This time I saw someone share in the Ctrip community that the Courtyard Hotel was good, so I booked a twin room First let me say that the location of the hotel is in Haitang Building, Pingyang Road, Xiaodian District (the local taxi driver only knows about Haitang Building, but not the Courtyard by Marriott) When I entered the lobby, a waiter helped me pull my suitcase and lead me to the check-in front desk. The waiter has a good attitude Then the waiter led us to the elevator. The elevator needs to swipe the room card (this is very safe) The toilet is TOTO's smart toilet, which is not bad. What is commendable is the shower head, which is comfortable haha. The toiletries are very good (my husband is going to some treasure to buy 😜) I booked a room with breakfast included. The buffet in the morning is Chinese and Western, and there are not many dishes (due to my physical reasons, I didn’t eat much)

I was sadly just there for one night, but if I return to Taiyuan I would want to spend at least two nights there. My room was spacious and the mini bar was stocked with some fresh pastries free of charge. The hotel has a shopping center behind it and is next to a metro station and several other malls. I was lucky enough to be upgraded to breakfast in the executive lounge on the 28th floor, and the food was very satisfying

The location of the hotel is very good. Hot tea is served as soon as you enter the lobby. It is within walking distance to Liuxiang Commercial Street and the subway station. It is very close to Taiyuan Station. It is located on Yingze Street, which belongs to the city center of Taiyuan. Liuxiang night market is bustling. Room facilities It is complete, the lobby is spacious and bright, and the restaurants are rich, with buffet Chinese, French and Japanese food. The service attitude of Rou Shangjie and Yang Jing at the hotel front desk is very good. Wang Chunhui, the assistant lobby manager, patiently answered questions and is very satisfied. I will choose this hotel for a long time in the future. Everyone can check in with confidence!

A hotel that we all like, the service is very good, and the lobby is also very stylish! The buffet breakfast is also rich, but there is no need to place a knife and fork placemat. Sometimes it is not environmentally friendly to remove it when it is not used. Toiletries are also good. If we talk about the disadvantages, it is that the glass is not cleaned during the Chinese New Year, and we look out at the fireworks to affect our mood. Everything else is fine

The transportation is convenient. It is less than 5 kilometers away from Taiyuan South Railway Station. It costs 12 yuan to take a taxi. It is also very convenient to eat around. The sanitary condition of the hotel is good, the breakfast is rich, and the combination of Chinese and Western. The service is enthusiastic, and I feel that Taiyuan people are very enthusiastic. It makes people feel warm.
