The room is big and comfortable if you can accept that the decor is kind of dated and carpet not that clean. The room offers a view of the city and within walking distance to many eateries and submarine museum. If you are planning to go Yogyakarta or Solo, the Gubeng train station is just around the corner. However, it can be quite noisy at night as the hotel is right in front of a busy street. I would suggest get a room away from the main street.
The workers are very helpful and friendly. Strongly suggest that breakfast is included when booking a room here as the value is very good.
Overall, a very good value stay for couple.

2 minutes by foot from Gubeng station. AC and shower are food. Unfortunately wifi on 9th floor wasn't working.

The hotel elevator is convenient. The hallways are pretty clean. There is no strange/cigarette smell even though it's an old building.
The room is a bit dark, cleanliness still needs to be improved. Needs rejuvenation... The glass windows and walls are quite dirty (some are even scrawled on). The sound of the AC is incredibly loud and the wall near the AC is right next to the bed, it feels like it's vibrating...
Incidentally got a room next to the train tracks. Pretty clear sound.
On the first day there was no tissue in the toilet. Day 2 just arrived.
I didn't use the fridge because it smelled a bit weird and was black all around...
There were slippers and leftover snacks in the area under the curtains and under the table...
The bathroom is very dark and cold. The warm water has to wait a long time to come out. The sink faucet was wobbly as if it was about to come off. Jd was a bit worried when using it.
The decoration in the public areas of the hotel is quite nice.
