Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Springfield Oh

No one at front desk to check in? Had to find a cleaning lady to call someone to come check us in?? I canceled went across street to a Hampton!!!

The motel was closed down for unsafe reasons and left us high and dry without a place to stay. Was closed begining of September & our booking was Sept 14&15 & no body let us know So we had to scramble to find another place to stay and found I think the only room left in Springfield available but had to pay more then double then our booking in Days Inn Springfield Ohio

We went to check in and they were closed. Had been closed for 10 days due to the fire marshall closing them. They did not let us know until 6pm by phone call that they were closed. A little late letting us know since we had used the last 11/2 hours trying to find a place to stay. There was a big weekend event this weekend for the town. We will never deal with a days inn ever again!

So this is an old hotel under new management that is trying to offer a good service. It seems to be run by a family. There was coffee in the morning but they didn’t actually provide breakfast. The rooms were clean, beds comfy. The refurbishment is partial; new decorations but old tub for example.

Gross! Still trying to get refunded! I booked two nights and only stayed the first (I would have left upon checking in if it wasn’t midnight and I wasn’t so exhausted). Parking lot: not lit, and I felt unsafe. NO breakfast available due to the kitchen being shut down. Hallway smelled like ****. My non-smoking room smelled like smoke. The a/c vent was DISGUSTING. I had to wipe every hard surface with disinfectant wipes (it was sticky and gross). My ice bucket was dirty, splattered with a brown beverage, and had a dead spider in it. Upon asking the desk clerk for a new one, she took a while to find one, and handed me another dirty one. The carpet was stained. The toilet bowl had poop streaks on the inside, and pee around the base on the floor. The sink had a huge black hair in it. The shower had hair in it, dirty walls, mold around the ceiling. The shower curtain was stained, yellowed, and mold-covered. The only good side was the towels and bed linens were white and smelled like bleach. However the towels were hanging in a rusty, dirty fixture on the bathroom wall. Do NOT book this place!!! The motel 6 across the street is cheaper, and little more clean.

Property listing and marquee outside the building both advertised breakfast. I specifically chose a hotel with breakfast so I could eat before finishing a cross country drive. No breakfast available. Other then that, it’s an adequate place to spend the night.

The side property looked like a junkyard. When entering lobby distinct smell of dirty carpets. All hallways and room was stale smokey air. Air conditioning worked well but was extremely loud. Free breakfast was advertised and only offered coffee and juice. When asked the front desk said that was all they offered. NEVER would have stayed except for breakfast. When asked, the front desk would not print because I booked through Travelocity.

I stayed at the hotel as it said it had free breakfast. No free breakfast, they only serve coffee and juice. They must have just remodeled but it had fibers from the carpet sticking out in the middle of the floor and the shower wasn’t caulked so the fixture moved around.

Room never cleaned. Trash not removed. I had to request fresh towels from the desk clerk each night. Used towel not removed.
