Please have pay machine at the Camp specifically for tips when guests do not have cash. This was the best hospitality I have ever enjoyed in my life so far - everything was perfect, the staff, food, the place, game drive and rooms

I can recommend this Camp. We have seen a lot of animals on Safari which were very near. Our ranger had a lot of knowledge. Very luxury tents. Good food. Frienly staff. We had everything that we wanted.

There are simply no words to completely express my total satisfaction with this Camp. The staff, the food, the wine and accomodations were beyond my expectations. The knowledge of the guides who took us on safari were exceptional. I would have no problem returning to Hamiltons.

An amazing place in the middle of the Jungle. Set on a river, the "tents" are far from ordinary. There are only 6 tents, but they are magnificent. The furthest tent from the main lodge is a bit of a walk. So if you have mobility issues request tent 1 or 2. The food served at the lodge is wonderful. as are the guides that take you on two daily game drives. One is at dawn and one in the late afternoon. You return for great breakfast and have the rest of the day to chill in your tent. each tent has a wonderful outdoor seating area where you can relax, read a book and or jump into your private plunge pool! I do mean private - so you are free to be you. The guides were incredible. We learned more about the animals and their environment than I could believe. The main guide we rode with was a tracker before he became a guide. At one point he pointed to some tracks and said two female lions were here recently and are going that direction. In about 3 minutes we found them - just amazing. We saw 4 of the big 5 and lots of other amazing animals. You will need a type M electrical adapter. Go if you can, it is truly the experience of a lifetime

We spend the last three nights of a 2 week South African trip and they were by far the best of them. From the second we arrived to a warm greeting to our send off we were pampered and cared for like no other place I have been. The staff truely care to see that everything is PERFECT. All requests no matter how small are accommodated immediately. We absolutely loved the perfectly cooked foods. Thomas and staff really make you feel at home. Our guide Maynard was so personable and knowledgeable on our trips out. We will never forget a minute of this perfect experience. We will be referring guests and may return when we can.

When we arrived we were asked by the manager to contact him if we are unhappy and not to write negative things on the internet. What we never do, when we have problems, we go to the responsible person and the problems can be solved - normally, but not at HT :(( On the way to our room we immediately noticed the unpleasant smell of paint. About 20 meters after the main lodge a worker started to paint the railing. Remember - the lodge was fully booked when they started painting with a poisonous color. The smell was accordingly. Unfortunately we'd the first lodge. We asked for a room change - what would have been possible at that time - but it wasn't made possible. At this point, we haven't yet seen what impact this would ultimately have. My husband stopped the painting on the second day because we had all the toxic stench on our terrace and in the room. We couldn't use the terrace, we became completely dizzy and dizzy. For our game drives we got a very inexperienced guide (1 year). A 5 Star lodge should provide the best one. After several complaints and no change we decided to go on our own. After all, we were in the Kruger for our first time and we wanted to see animals - of course the big 5 - and not to stop for an Egypt goose. Also the two other ZA guests - very experienced with safari - complained. No change. We drove in the same small circle for two days. We were not able to call security from our room. We addressed this topic to the manager - it was still not possible on our last evening. I can't even imagine what could happen. We haven't got any phone numbers in case of emergency. At 12 noon we were rung out of bed because the fire extinguisher had to be picked up, because a technician was on the way. Best time for a break after morning drive and breakfast. Not worth mentioning that it wasn't back in the room until the next day. But matches and real candles are in the room - inconceivably. When we checked into the room the safe was locked. The manager wanted to do it when we are on the game drive. Not worth mentioning that it wasn't done. We have addressed the many problems several times and asked for changes. We asked for phone number and email addresses of responsible managers since the "management" at the lodge told us, he doesn't have any authority to make decisions, all is decided in Johannesburg. He is not allowed to give us a phone number or an email to address our complaints directly. The management wasn't even able to provide clean towels till our last evening. They have NO clean towels. Table napkins, staff clothing - everything is stained or dirty. In general the complete staff isn't trained for a job in a 5 star accommodation. The only positive experience is the chef - the food is very good and he knows what he is doing. The Management in Johannesburg supposedly knew about our complaints, but no one approached us.

We spent a wonderful relaxing 3 nights at Hamiltons. Sited beside a river our vast canvas topped lodge sat on a rasied wooden deck conected to the central lodge by a lengthy raised walkway. The room had every luxury including a private plunge pool, super king-sized bed, roll top bath, walk-in shower, all-inclusive mini bar, separate lounge area and luxury toiletries. Two 3 hour guided safari's in comfortable Land Cruisers were included in the price of a nights stay as was all the food and drink. Our guide found 4 of the big 5 and gave us plenty of opportunities for fantastic photographs. Elephants, Hippo and Impala were regular visitors to the river and 3 lions were also spotted walking through the camp one morning. A wonderful cooked breakfast along with a continental buffet was taken after the early morning game drive. We selected our choices for lunch and dinner after breakfast from the daily changing menu. All meals were taken on the romantically spaced white clothed tables on the open veranda. All the staff under the management of Thomas and Daniel were friendly, attentive and efficient. We enjoyed every moment of a truly unforgettable stay.
