A nice quiet hotel, with accommodation in "bungalows" in the grounds. Our room was very large, high and airy, with a mezzanine which we did not use. Facilities are a bit "tired" and in need of refurbishment, but everything was clean and the room was well provided with toiletries, etc. The restaurant has a large dining area and offers a choice of buffet meals or a la carte. The buffet is quite extensive and offers a good choice of dishes, including omelettes, etc. at breakfast. There is live music at dinner time, and this can be quite loud, so try not to sit too close to the entrance, where the band is positioned. There is also a comfortable bar area with a well-stocked bar - although service can take a little time. The hotel has other facilities, but our schedule was too busy to allow us to use them. The hotel is quite far outside Dambulla, so there aren't any other restaurants or bars within walking distance.
