I would not recommend a stay in this hotel. The room is filthy - all rooms have carpet. Carpet had bugs, cobwebs, hair, dirt. The room was freezing, the heating unit is poor. The shower had only room temperature water, no hot water. We couldn’t shower because it was so cold. The breakfast was terrible. They did not ask if we wanted the western or Chinese breakfast and assumed since we are foreign we’d like the stale bread with a slice of tomato and lettuce. When I asked about a refund, they said they had provided the service and weren’t able to refund. After pointing out how the service they provided was a flat out lie - no hot water, dirty rooms - they offered 50% refund. I negotiated up to 70%. I shouldn’t have had to do negotiate. They apologized profusely and acknowledged they didn’t provide the service they were supposed to but were unwilling to refund the full amount. I told TRIP.com this hotel should not be listed anymore. It is unhygienic. Do not stay here.

Beautiful Tibetan style hotel in the Shangri-la old town. We had an amazing view of the Dafo Temple and Prayer Wheel. Jackie speaks perfect English and was so helpful with booking transportation, recommending restaurants and experiences, and even getting up super early to make sure we had a nice breakfast before a 6:30am airport departure! The breakfast was delicious and the service outstanding! Charming rooms and lobby with cool Tibetan artwork. We’re definitely coming back soon!

We spent 2 nights in Dukesong, Shangri-la. The hotel has a beautiful entrance. We chose the room on the last floor. The room has a private balcony with an amazing view. It was clean and the bed was comfortable, just a low pressure in the shower. Good breakfast. The lady at the front desk is really kind. When we arrived in Shangri-la she came to pick us up cause we got lost.

The hotel is located on the outskirt of old town and accessible by car making it very convenient. It is about 10 mins walk from old town square. The hotel room is equipped with a/c unit and portable heater is provided when we stayed in November.
Room is spacious and clean. Breakfast is simple but nice and service is great and family-like..

It was fine, the location is right in the middle of the Ancient Town, so that's the best part. Room was cosy and fine for a one night stop over. When we checked in, the guy working at reception looked very confused and we felt we were being an inconvenience. Breakfast was served in a separate location down the road. Nice view of the temple from the balcony of the guesthouse. Manage your expectations and it will be fine.

we were the only guest in the hotel, so we got update room with the view directly on the temple.
location is just 5 minutes by walk from the main square, very convenient.
as our next destination was Yubeng, they helped us to keep the luggages, very helpful and gentle from hotel
we asked if it was possible to wash. our clothes, they confirmed but after washed, our clothes weren't taken out.
also for breakfast there was only noodles, probably because we were the only guests

We had some issues checking in, as the hotel is scattered across several sites in the old city. After a call to the hotel, Ivan soon sorted us out and we were accommodated in a large, cool, character filled room. The room was clean, well decorated but with some damage to the carpet. The plumbing was disappointing with it taking a long time to get hot water and the shower cubicle being very leaky (just when we thought we’d moved up from Chinese guesthouse wet rooms!). The annex was very quiet and had some lovely spaces to relax. The hotel is well located to explore the old town. Breakfast, Chinese or Continental, was filling and fine, but not exceptional. Ivan also arranged a car to take us to Lijiang Airport.

The B&B room can see the Great Buddha Temple in the ancient city‼ ️
Moreover, the view from the top floor overlooking the ancient city is particularly good. It is well decorated with an ethnic feel and has a strong sense of immersion. None of these B&Bs are advertised hahaha
Picture 2.3 is the cat in the B&B. It’s so cute.
The best thing is the guy at the B&B. He is very gentle and his service is very enthusiastic.
They cooked their own meals in the evening and let me and my brother eat together. They were so friendly!
And the little brother will be eager to help with anything. This is the happiest and most satisfying part of this stay! My little brother will be happier and better in the future~
