Pretty chill hotel, gave free coffee coupon and helped us to store luggage for free. There were some confusion because I cancelled the previous booking to change the room type, but reception manage to solve the problem real quick. 很愉快的住房体验,下次还会考虑这家品牌旗下的其他酒店。

Very enjoyable stay! We arrived early in the morning before the scheduled check-in time. Although it was fully booked that day, they have managed to keep the housekeeping process quick to allow us in for a good rest. Before we depart to airport, they even offered us bottle of mineral water to keep us hydrated. Small gestures, but great hospitality. Kudos to the receptionist team. Will definitely be my top pick in next visit.
Renaissance Shanghai Yu Garden Hotel

Yu Garden Area
The Renaissance Shanghai Yu Garden Hotel offers a mixed experience that balances some exceptional features with a few drawbacks. The highlight undoubtedly lies in the breathtaking views from the rooms, which provide an awe-inspiring outlook, offering a glimpse into the vibrant cityscape. However, it's important to note that the building itself might show signs of age, which could be evident in the overall aesthetic and some facilities. The lack of amenities like self-service laundry might be a downside for guests looking for such conveniences during their stay. Nevertheless, the hotel's prime location opposite the wholesale mall is a considerable advantage for guests interested in shopping or exploring the local area. This proximity to a bustling commercial center adds convenience and opportunities for guests to immerse themselves in the city's vibrant atmosphere and culture. In summary, while the Renaissance Shanghai Yu Garden Hotel might have some limitations in terms of the building's age and absence of certain facilities like self-service laundry, its unbeatable views and strategic location opposite the wholesale mall make it a worthwhile choice for travelers looking to experience the vibrant energy of Shanghai.

First I booked this hotel for 3 days. Then I rebooked again. This hotel is at a central location. near the bund, famous restaurants at Fu Zhou Ru, Nanjing walking street, and even their Mrt station. All are within walking distance. You can even walk to Jinan temple. The room I booked was a family room with two beds. Although the room is not that big, It is clean.

Was a great stay! The front desk was kind and helpful, and we loved the robot that took the takeouts and delivered it to our room. Free refreshments in the lobby as well! The hotel is also walking distance to the metro making it really easy to get around. Even if you opt into taking Didi, it is also within vicinity to many Shanghai’s popular spots and walking distance to Nanjing East Road. There was a bit of a smoke smell in our room however as I think the previous occupant smoked inside the room. Otherwise the hotel is completely smoke-free and even have signs to indicate that no smoking was allowed.

Best location near all the famous sights, closeto literally everything, we choose this place because of a great value/location ratio. The hotel was very clean and we really enjoyed our stay. The reception most of them didn‘t speak English but with a translator they were very helpful. The kind guy from the nightshift even helped us to order food via his own phone since our foreign phones did not work with the local delivery-robot room service. We booked the terrace rooftop room which was a great decision. Our highlight was also a heated toilet seat. Totally reccommended, we would defininitley stay here again and were very happy with our stay.
