Great location walking distance from Shanghai railway station. Got there a few hours early but hotel allowed us to leave luggage there whilst we went for lunch. Lovely hotel, staff, breakfast etc.. Only downside is that the pool is 6th floor in next building so you have to come down, go past reception and lobby and take lift to the 6th floor there. The small jacuzzi was not available when we wanted to use it as it was safer with our 3 year old so had to go into the main pool but we felt like we were getting in the way as others were using it to do their length swimming. Also, to get to the pool you have to climb up some stairs and at the bottom what looks like a rubber grip flooring was full of cold water but it was clear so when i stepped into it with cloth sandals that the hotel gave us in the room, they got soaking wet and the water was freezing cold. There should be a sign there to say there is a pool of water (see picture attached) Other downside in the room is that the lighting system is very confusing - we had an executive suite and wanted to put our infant to sleep in the main room whilst we relaxed in the living room but if you wanted the lighting on in the living area you had to go to the bedroom to turn it on and the lights next to the front door were also confusing as there was no option to turn on the lights in the lounge area and if there was, it wasn’t stated hence why we say it was all very confusing.

CITY PARK HOTEL

Changshou Road Commercial Area
A great experience at City Park Hotel. Really friendly and nice staff (Ice! Ice! Baby!), and my room (with the futon) was exactly what I needed: minimal and comfortable. I seriously haven’t ever slept that well in a hotel. Peace to Genghis Cat; I feel honored that he gave me a blink and a few meows. It felt like a rite of passage. I’ll be back!

Facilities: There are several lights in the room, which makes the room that is not too bright even less bright. There are two ceiling lights in the bathroom, one is on, two corridor lights, one is on, and there are many lights that are not on. The water speed of the handcuffs is particularly slow. The pair lock of the door is not working at all, it is better to use a chain lock honestly. In fact, this is okay, just live. But what I can't understand is why the cleaning aunt still entered the house after I hung up the ”Do Not Disturb” sign, and every time we were not there, one day we were a little tired, from the morning until 4 pm in the hotel, during this period, there was no cleaning aunt knocking on the door, But when we came back from the house, we found that the garbage in the house was collected (the do not disturb sign was hung at the door for 3 days after staying at the hotel).

The room is clean and tidy, the facilities are perfect, I like the decoration style here, the atmosphere is very good, the transportation is more convenient, the surrounding environment is beautiful, and the accommodation experience is very good. [First glance into the room] [Small surprise from the homestay]

I stay at Meego for two weekends a month to study in Shanghai. It's a simple yet well-maintained facility with friendly staff who go out of their way to assist foreigners. The location is excellent and convenient, making it the best cost-effective choice. My overall assessment of the hotel is positive.

Great location with lots within walking distance, including a great local beer chain. Room was clean with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was simple but tasty. A few things to note: 1. As mentioned in other reviews, the rooms are not well insulated from sound, both inside and outside. There seemed to be a loose piece of metal outside my room that kept banging from the wind. Bring earplugs if you are sensitive to noise. 2. The electrical plugs did not have much current and would not charge my phone. The engineer came to the room and pointed out the USB plug, which worked well. 3. Many of the rooms with windows seem to have frosted windows. This was a bit disappointing and really should be noted in the room information. 4. The shower was great, but the water temperature was sometimes an issue. I am not sure of the problem. Just be careful with the temperature. Overall, a good stay. It is a hotel I will consider in the future.
