Moduxing chose the Laoqian style Apartment this time. The hotel was formerly known as the Far East Hotel and its charm still remains. Facilities: The hotel decoration is relatively new. We chose a one-bedroom and one-living room. When we arranged the last room on the 4th floor, the clerk did not tell us that it would be a tail room, so when we got the room card, we walked into the room and found out that it was next to the tail room. It's a cleaning room, but I still feel a little uncomfortable. I hope the clerk can explain it in detail when arranging the room. Hygiene: minimalist style, very bright and very clean Environment: Our room does not have a balcony or a view of the main street like the promotional picture. We are still a little disappointed. We can only see the small streets. Because we can't take pictures on the terrace. If you want to take pictures, you must communicate with the store in advance about the room type. Overall, the hotel location is very convenient 5 minutes walk from the subway entrance and 20 minutes walk from the Bund Service: Will help with luggage, has a good attitude, and has a strong sense of service

I booked the hotel because of the advertised oriental pearl tower view… of course the booked room type was not available… even after paying for an upgrade the room had a worse view then advertised. Rooms are clean and stuff is friendly. Location is pretty bad. Subway station too far away… ordering taxis usually include a waiting time for about 15 minutes. Next proper convenience store is also quite far away.
Renaissance Shanghai Yu Garden Hotel

Yu Garden Area
The Renaissance Shanghai Yu Garden Hotel offers a mixed experience that balances some exceptional features with a few drawbacks. The highlight undoubtedly lies in the breathtaking views from the rooms, which provide an awe-inspiring outlook, offering a glimpse into the vibrant cityscape. However, it's important to note that the building itself might show signs of age, which could be evident in the overall aesthetic and some facilities. The lack of amenities like self-service laundry might be a downside for guests looking for such conveniences during their stay. Nevertheless, the hotel's prime location opposite the wholesale mall is a considerable advantage for guests interested in shopping or exploring the local area. This proximity to a bustling commercial center adds convenience and opportunities for guests to immerse themselves in the city's vibrant atmosphere and culture. In summary, while the Renaissance Shanghai Yu Garden Hotel might have some limitations in terms of the building's age and absence of certain facilities like self-service laundry, its unbeatable views and strategic location opposite the wholesale mall make it a worthwhile choice for travelers looking to experience the vibrant energy of Shanghai.

Location is good. The hotel is flexible to let you stay in early if there are empty rooms, not to be taken for granted but it’s a good flexibility Location is good however when it’s late at night There is nothing much to eat nearby. Supper spots per se Breakfast has good spread. If you are in executive room you can enjoy the executive spread, which is lesser than the main breakfast restaurant, but it’s a good alternative if you want lesser crowd. Overall good stay.

Nice location and good hotel. The staff was especially friendly. The only side note is that there are different buildings with different check-in procedures, so make sure you go to the right building.
