Dead mosquito with blood stains on the wall. Despite of my receiving confirmation email, I could not check into a hotel I had originally booked. So Trip.com agent suggested me to book this hotel, showing me great clean photos that are like a brand new hotel. Turned out that there was a dead mosquito on the wall with blood stains. It was already past mid-night so I complained the next day. Trip.com said they would contact the hotel. But they did not. And so I was not given a new room or any update from Trip.com until I complained further. Now I am arguing that Trip.com has deceived me by showing me brand new hotel room photos that are untrue and forced me to stay in a developing country quality hotel room. All the more so as Trip.com did not properly send me check in info for me to stay at the other hotel I had originally booked. It's been more than a week and this dispute has still not been resolved. Trip.com is being irresponsible in claiming that the hotel has refused to return the money when Trip.com, while having responded that it would talk to the hotel, had never done so - or so it seems judging from their follow up emails - and Trip.com does not take the responsibility of deceiving me. I wish we could call the police and arrest Trip.com as a company, hold them accountable and bring justice to the system. Do not stay in this hotel - never ever book this hotel as I have not received a word of apology for the poor room via Trip.com - and never ever use Trip.com. Don't. Just don't ever use Trip.com. In my opinion, *********** is a bit more responsible and they do a better job relative to Trip.com. So never use this website ever.
