Hotel Ismael

I was only here for two nights before flying home, but I enjoyed my stay and whistle-stop tour of Santiago. The hotel receptionist gave me a great recommendation of where to eat.. and what sites to visit in my limited time. I would definitely stay here again if ever I'm back.

We had a nice stay the the Hotel Ismael. It is in a great location next to a park and walking distance to a lot of tourist sites in the city. The breakfast is good, although they served pretty much the same thing every day with a few small variations. The best part of the hotel was the front desk staff especially Daniella and Diego. They were both so helpful. Daniella helped us check in a little early which was fantastic after an overnight flight. She also gave us a map and directions and advice on how to best see some of the local attractions. Diego helped us book an afternoon wine tour that we really enjoyed. He also remembered our names every time we came back into the hotel which we thought was impressive considering we didn’t stay that many nights. One thing we didn’t like was that the cell phone service and wifi did not work very well in our room. Im not sure if it would be like that in every room or just because of where our room was located within the hotel. The other thing that kinda bothered us was a slight sewage smell that would sometimes come from our bathroom. We weren’t in our room much other than to sleep so it didn’t bother us enough to complain or switch rooms but we felt it should be noted. Overall it was a really good budget friendly hotel in a great location where we felt safe. (For reference we are two Americans in our 30s)

Very friendly and helpful staff in a well located hotel. The rooms are small but well laid out with a nice functional bathroom and even a small kitchenette with a microwave and mini sink. Room has double glazing to keep the traffic noise to a comfortable level.

I have never had an experience in a hotel even close to our stay at Hotel Ismael! The staff was so friendly and kind. Diego went out of his way to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Not only did he give us great advice for any questions, he paid attention to little details (such lending a yoga mat). Diego was an absolute hero for accommodating us with a late check out when we had a crazy flight time back home. The breakfast buffet was also a big hit for us with quality food and coffee. The location of the hotel is spectacular, near Parque Forestal, lovely for morning walks or run, and near Lastarria with all of its great restaurants. It’s also quite central for sightseeing in Santiago. 110% would recommend a stay at this lovely hotel!

We stayed in Hotel Ismael for one night. Diego gave us a warm welcome as did the young man who helped us with our luggage. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. It’s in a great location. Lovely swimming pool.

Exceptional hotel in a great location! Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a wonderful experience in Santiago. Friendly and helpful staff. Hospitality at this hotel is out of this world, especially Diego. We were so well cared for during our stay. Quiet street overlooking the park, yet steps away from Lastarria, a lively street with many bars and restaurants. Nice rooms with TV, air con and a mini fridge. Very clean. Water bottle refill station! Delicious buffet breakfast with a variety of fresh options. We also enjoyed the rooftop terrace and pool multiple times during our stay! Look no further if you want a stay to remember in Santiago.

The hotel is everything we expected and needed, a comfortable, clean room, friendly staff, excellent breakfast and also a convenient location. What was a very positive surprise is that the hotel is located on a private street that only allows circulation to those who live there. Along that street is a park - which is beautiful for a morning run - and on the far side of the park is the first street. The result is that the rooms facing the front of the building are very quiet. It is extra nice to wake up in the middle of bustling Santiago to the chirping of the birds after a good rest.

My wife and I stayed at the Ismael Hotel for four nights prior to a cruise and we enjoyed our stay very much. The location was perfect, near sights but on a quiet street across from a lovely park filled with families, dogs and yoga classes. The lively neighborhood had restaurants and a street market and we enjoyed getting ice cream and strolling through the park. The staff of the hotel was terrific, especially the front desk, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the tasty breakfast and relaxing on the roof terrace with the park at our feet and mountains beyond. Highly recommended.

Excellent independent hotel in a great location. They served a delicious breakfast buffet. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Location was very convenient to many tourist locations, and felt safe. We were treated in a very friendly and helpful way by all the staff.
