The Ponce St. Augustine Hotel

My room was shoved under the stairwell even though there were plenty of rooms. i believe this is because i used a discounted site. The cleanness was fair. There was no room service during stay Hot tub was about 3/4 full not full so question cleanness. Further from town than i was lead to believe i thought it was walking distance it was a 20 minute walk one way.

The Ponce is an older hotel with plenty of charm and character, which was what I was looking for. It has been maintained and updated beautifully. The staff was very welcoming and accomodating. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable.The bed was extremely comfortable. Amenities included pool, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, blow dryer, iron, ironing board, writing desk with chair, huge HD TV, and free WIFI. A guest laundry room is available. The Ponce is a 15 minute walk or short drive to the St. Augustine old historic site. Shopping, restaurants, and a salon and spa are also minutes away. The Ponce is on the water, and although the restaurant does not face the water, the view is beautiful. The hotel restaurant, the DeLeon, is a Colombian restaurant. The food was delicious and authentic! I can't wait to eat there again. I give the Ponce Hotel a rating of A+++++. I also must mention that I left a pair of diamond earrings in my room, and within an hour of checking out, Negar, the hotel desk receptionist, called me to let me know, and my earrings are being mailed to me. This honesty and going the extra mile is seldom seen today, and I was extremely impressed and grateful. Again,I rate them very highly and plan to return on my next visit.

This was a great last minute find. My boyfriend and I wanted some thing close to the historic district for a one night stay, it was an easy 15 minute walk. The hotel staff were pleasant upon arrival. The room was nice and clean it well smelled like bleach when we walked in (loved that). Definitely a place that I would book again.

Very run down. Neighbors decided to converse loudly until 4am despite many pleas to quiet down. Room phone to the front desk was dead. Spend more money and stay elsewhere.

Older hotel but nicely kept. Good restaurant and bar. Close to everything with the Welcome Center and shuttles next door. Nice staff, free DVD's.

The rooms was clean and the shower had great water pressure. The only downside is that the property sit next to the train line. And there are trains coming and going every night. So it's very noisy and woke us up a couple of times with the loud noise and the honking. The Columbian restaurant on the property was amazing and highly recommend it.

Used ******* for booking, which (includes all taxes and fees) at check in they demand additional fees before allowing check in. Illegal violation of contract. Told the staff that it was booked through ******* and all fees were paid and the response was "Not my problem". Rude and unprofessional.

It was a lot less then what I expected for the price. I definitely wasn’t expecting a four or five star hotel, but the images look way better than the actual place. The room floor was not very clean & our socks reflected it. Every time our air conditioner turned on it sounded like an airplane. It wasn’t the worst place clearly because we stayed but definitely a first and last

It is the perfect location for doing things in downtown St. Augustine. It’s walkable or a very short Uber ride. Friendly staff at checkin, and very spacious suite.
