We checked in on the last two days before the hotel shut for the season, so it was quite empty. The staff were very friendly and kindly upgraded our room to a waterfront room with a balcony, which had a stunning view of the fjord. The room was cosy and warm, had a good bed and was super dark and quiet, so had great sleep quality. The breakfast was on the modest side, but was fresh, tasty and had everything we needed. Overall, a lovely stay and wonderful experience.

I stayed here for one night. The hotel is quite isolated but the area is very nice - large, green. The rooms are basic, small. The bathrooms are quite small and for the shower area they do not have a basin - its' a shared floor with the rest of the bathroom so when you take a shower you need to be careful not to get wet everything around. They have also an outdoor jacuzzi. The dinner was pre-ordered (we were a 30person group) - quite good. The bar is limited - they had wine, beer and other alcohols but they did not know how to prepare cocktails. The staff was very nice and helpful - the hotel is managed by a family. The breakfast was basic.

This is a port in the eastern part of Iceland where you can wash your clothes! From the capital of western Iceland, it is just the middle point of travel. The clothes accumulated in a few days can be washed and dried before going to bed at night. Pay 1600 Icelandic coins (krona), use it casually. The one in front of me needs 4,000 Icelandic coins to wash once.

Very helpful staff on a range of travel information, fantastic. The location beside the harbour beautiful and access to northern lights viewing with excellent staff guidance on where to try. This restaurant and its family staff was incredible and, to show that, we ended up coming here 4 separate times over a day-and-a-half period to do everything from enjoy some evening drinks, have a few meals, play mini-golf, free of charge, on their course right outside, to having my son play his first game of pool and sink his first-ever shot to the way they turned on their huge television and allowed him to watch himself on a YouTube video he just made, to playing darts (that were cleaned for us) on their multiple dartboards. The food - Icelandic Soup, amazing burgers - filled our stomachs and the hosts genuinely wanted to speak to us wherever we were in the restaurant, and they answered so many of our questions re: our first 2 weeks traveling through the country. They were Lonely Planet's with smiles and great personalities. I would give this restaurant the highest rating I have ever given a restaurant. The food is wonderful. The family is absolutely lovely. Thumbs up with all of the thumbs I can find:)
