Well, Crown Plaza is our usual our favorite hotel and also our first-choice hotel in Qingdao city and naturally chose the Crowne Plaza Qingdao again. The hotel hasn’t lost any of its avantgarde charm. Furthermore, the employees are still as professional and helpful as I remember them from the last time (this time I would like to mention Ms. Fanny from the front desk, hassel-free check in that was quick and we were given a free upgrade) . The rooms are spacious, and the amenities will cater to every whim. Thumbs up -I must say . Almost all staff is very friendly and helpful. Even the room cleaners is very friendly and helpful. Thumbs up again for the concierge staff as well . I specifically recommend this 海尔洲际酒店宾客关系部的 Ivy 王家旸 and one of the cleaning departments lady which I forget to get her name -(she is new trained - 2 month only ) date 11 jan . Room 1256 . She is very caring and helpful. I was rather upset with the morning breakfast staff - all is so unprofessional. Training shld be mandatory to all the staff . They will rather rude and no respect to guest . I do not wish to explain too much on my unpleasant experiences here .

The hotel is a bit dated, and the facilities were average. The pool area was a bit old and required everyone to wear a swimming cap, though it's pointless. The sauna in the women's area was broken and I was a bit disappointed about that. The service and staff we very nice, but other than the front desk workers, the staff did not really speak English(which is fine, since my partner and I speak Chinese, but it is something to note if you are a tourist who does not speak Chinese). The room itself was average, I think we paid a bit more than it was worth, but the location was worth it(walking distance to the water and lots of many good restaurants and cafes). The room was a nonsmoking room, but yet it smelled like smoke even after the staff had cleaned it. Smoke smell seems to be imbedded into the sheets or walls. The bathroom was nice and clean.

I've been to several other hotels in Qingdao, but it was the most satisfying hotel. First of all, I would like to thank ☺️Crystal Zhao. ❤️❤️❤️She continued to let us know and help us through WeChat during our stay. Also, it was useful to send information on nearby tourist attractions and good restaurants through WeChat. Basically, the service and mindfulness of are excellent. 1. Location: The location of the hotel is really nice. There is an ocean right in front of you, so you can take a walk in the morning and evening. At night, the light shines on the surrounding buildings, so the night view is beautiful. The nearby tourist attraction is not far away, so you can take a taxi in about 10 minutes. 2. Room Condition: The room is clean as it is a new hotel. I used it well because there was an air purifier. The amenities are sufficiently set up. It is convenient to control the curtains and lights. 3. Breakfast: It was nice to have a meal while looking at the sea at the restaurant, and I could eat Chinese and western styles. The instant noodles and huntun were delicious. It was convenient to make coffee and bring it to me right away. 4. Swimming Pool: I liked the swimming pool the most in this hotel. It was comfortable because I could swim while looking at the sea and there were not many people. The people who work in the swimming pool are really nice. I asked them to take a picture because I was alone, and they were willing to take it, so I appreciate it. If I come to Qingdao again, it is a hotel I want to come back to.👍👍👍

A good place for leisure especially in the summer time. A huge beaches called Golden and Silver beach are just in front of the hotel Le Meridian @ Huangdao, most of the rooms are with seaviews and balcony, so relaxing!!~ Special thanks given to the MOD (manager on duty) Cindy during our stay. She was kind and helpful, we were appreciated to the complimentary starbuck coffee in the lobby offered to us. Dinner and breakfast buffet were nice at the very competitive price, all staff in the F&B were friendly.

My friend and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express during our trip to Qingdao. Initially, we had high expectations of the hotel especially since my friend had experienced what Holiday Inn was like in a previous city which was a very good experience. However, our expectations were no met😕 at this hotel. Overall, it was not a bad stay because the hotel was at a good location (there's a mall literally behind the hotel, lots of restaurants and 5 min walk from the subway station) and the staff at the front dest were nice. However, the food, on trip.com, it notes there's western breakfast but there was not! The breakfast was a basic Chinese breakfast so we were not satisfied with the breakfast at all. Additionally, the hotel needs to be diligent about cleaning the bathrooms. You need to actually scrub the bathroom and not just wipe it down! The shower and around the face basin had mold which was very disgusting and disturbing 🤢. Please do better! Otherwise, we had a good stay. The bed and pillows were so soft, we felt like we were sleeping on clouds 😍😁. We also loved that the lobby had free popcorn for the guests to take 😄.

Sadly the hotel was not very clean and my room had still some garbage from the previous tenants on the floor and this was still there after 3 times room service. The air conditioner did not work and even with 18 degrees outside the room was very hot and could only be cooled with opening the door. The gym was decent and clean. The breakfast was only basics and nothing fancy. Sadly the service was not paying much attention and it was sometime hard to get a coffee to the table without self ordering at the counter. Cereal choices where limited as were the fruit options. Overall it is a good hotel that’s lacking a little on the service side.

Old shabby hotel catering to visiting local tourists, mainly. If you're a foreigner, the drivers of the cabs waiting outside the Hotel will rip you off 20-30 yuan unless you pay attention to the meter and immediately yell at them in case of overcharge. (Almost) noone at the check-in desk speaks English unless you chance on a manager. There're two teenage consierge boys at the main entrance, who boss the incoming patrons around and tell them how to live. The restaurant prices are on a par with those at Shangri-La hotel, but with far fewer choices and lower in cooking quality. The only BIG advantage if you're a swimmer like myself: a former German ”Kaiser” swimming beach is right accross the road. It's now callled ”Bathing Beach 1.” Awesome for doing non-stop laps for an hour. And even then: you can easily get to the beach by metro from any other Qingdao hotel. Just get off at Huiquan Square (Line 3) and come out through Exit C.
