Proud Phuket Hotel

This is probably my 5th time staying at this hotel and had a pleasant stay. It is located close (7-9mins) to the airport, and Naiyang beach is within walking distance from the hotel where you can find variety of food as well as you can enjoy the beautiful sunset 🌅.

Very nice deco and design . Love the garden and especially turtle soft toy . Wonders any piece for sale!

Front line staff not really show that much that they willing to help or assist once customer ask for help.

I did not enjoy my experience at all and do not feel I got my money’s worth. This is not a 4 star hotel by my standards. The hotel is very dated and in need of a major renovation. Somewhere I read that there was a renovation a few years ago. I have to assume the rooms were not touched then because they are very old (the furniture, walls, plumbing, fixtures, all old). The pool floor looked dirty. The breakfast was poor - the omelet station was ok (fresh but very limited toppings), and the drip coffee decent, but all else not tasty, including the stale bread and the world’s worst croissants. The lobby is outdoors, the bathrooms in the lobby are not air conditioned. There is no where to go in the common areas to escape the heat and mosquitoes (and there are many many mosquitos on the property). The balcony in the room strangely has a single chair and no table. No hooks for the robes or towels. No hair conditioner provided. The provided toiletries are unbranded and cheap. They provide a shuttle to the beach but on a limited schedule. You can walk to beach if it’s not too hot. I think the hotel might offer free bicycles. I saw the bikes but reception never mentioned anything to me. There are plenty of businesses nearby. There is a coffee shop attached to the hotel that has great air conditioning, as well as an outdoor terrace. That’s the only positive thing about the property, other than the location. I would never return and would not recommend.

In general, the hotel was clean and delightful. The entrance was very nice with the flowers and the honeysuckle’s smell. The hotel was right in front of a convenient store and was only a short walk to the beach.

The lobby is neat and have very good design for ventilation. Some little shops like massage, 711 and restaurants are on the opposite side of the hotel. The NaiYang Seafood Restaurant is on the left hand side of the hotel which provide quality food. There’s very pungent smell inside the room. The toilet has very strong disgusting smell from the drainage. The towels are old. We have been assigned the first room of the floor which has direct access to the pool but the lock was broken, we had to keep waiting for the staff to fix it, so we requested another room and they did it for us without further questions. The YaiYai restaurant is nice and breakfast is generally fine. Staff are nice there. Overall impression was fair.

Overall, loved the experience in Proud Hotel Phuket. The rooms were fairly clean and the air conditioning was cool. The location was a little out of the city, however there were minimarts & 7-11s nearby. Had to say though, wasn’t expecting such an amazing room for the price i paid. Really an underrated hotel. Will definitely be back to check in again ! 9/10 The only downside would be that the toilets don’t have doors and it’s mainly covered by a shower curtain… overall a wonderful experience no 🧢
