The rooms are clean and tidy with an artistic touch. The waiters are warm and friendly and help us a lot. The hotel is very close to the train station, bus station and the seaside, and it is very convenient to eat, live and travel.

We found ourselves unexpectedly needing to stay overnight in Penzance. A friend recommended Artist Residence. The staff made us feel really welcome despite us arriving without booking and late into the evening. Delicious breakfast, friendly and efficient staff. Lovely, simple but stylish room.

Relatively famished, I perused the outdoor placard displaying the varied menu. My eyes gravitated to the Ruben sandwich, which is under a tenner, quite sizeable (enough to share if you’re not ravenous), and, on the whole, quite scrumptious. The pastrami, however, was a bit stringy and over-hot (perhaps passive-aggressively microwaved in a rush?) Nevertheless, the combo of sauerkraut and Russian dressing really worked. Front of House, meanwhile, is friendly and accommodating, but clearly understaffed and unnecessarily rushed off their feet. Otherwise, the ambience is crackling with character and coziness; the Wi-Fi is very good; in all, a place worth returning to on the regular.

Beautiful quirky room with lovely furnishings and artwork. The bed was super comfortable and the complimentary toiletries were exceptional. Could do with some more storage for small items - a drawer or two for instance. The mini bar was well-stocked but took up space for hanging clothes.

What an amazing place! So many great details in the room that made it feel very cosy, especially the bath that really elevated the experience during my three night stay. Bed and linens were plush and finally, most importantly, staff was great and helpful. Go and check it out, you'll love it.

The most amazing stay. Bed absolutely amazing slept like a baby. The bathtub was perfect for pampering and relaxing. Shampoo, conditioner, moisturiser, bath, bubbles, and handcream all complimentary to use while you stay and lovely products. Amazing breakfast and Staff happy and polite on arrival, highly recommended.

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and decor. Menu somewhat limited. We ordered Tofu burger, mussels and prawn tacos which were all very tasty in good sized portions. Great cooking and resonably priced at £55 inlduing drinks. Definitely worth a visit!

Lovely stay between Christmas and new year in a comfy luxe room. Great room with a very comfortable super king bed. We didn't need to interact with the staff much after checkin but they were all very cheery and welcoming. Minor gripe but when are hotels going to start cleaning showers properly - ours was going mouldy around the bottom on the door - just needs a quick scrub and some anti mould spray to make it look fresh again.
