Ibis Paris Gare du Nord Chateau-Landon 10EME

Ibis Paris Gare du Nord Chateau-Landon 10EME

Paris|0.56km from Paris Gare de l'Est
I stayed in this hotel with my 6 year old daughter from the 24th of July til the 28th of July and I must say I did not have the best experience there. Firstly in my booking that I made with booking.com it said that the price included breakfast so I was shocked to hear that I had to pay for my daughter 4 days of breakfast on top. It said clearly breakfast was included.. If I book a room for both of us and the breakfast is included surely it is for both of us?? I sent several messages to get a refund but they never reply and before my trip I sent them emails about my trip but never got any replies. Also I found the staff extremely rude and unhelpful when I was asking for things when I was there, especially a black tall guy who was just rolling his eyes and staring even when I asked for an iron like it was a problem. When I asked for directions instead of actually explaining things to me I was just given a map, maybe as the English was not very good but I think hotel staff should speak sufficient English. Breakfast was good selection but once again the staff there hardly smiled always seemed rushed and pushing through the queues putting down their croissants, very rude. I been working 22 years as cabin crew so I know what good customer service is like. Also they put a transaction hold of £70 on my debit card that has not been refunded. Lastly I should have checked the location better but coming back late at night is not very safe at all, especially with a young daughter. Lots of dodgy people around.

Crowne Plaza Paris République, an IHG Hotel

Paris|1.06km from Paris Gare de l'Est
We stayed six nights at this fairly spartan property that was fitted with basic room attributes including a small refrigerator, a hair dryer and a tiny safe. We requested a coffee maker and received a hot pot with instant coffee. Getting an iron in the room proved a bit of an ordeal. The room was clean and the beds were quite good. Hotel staff was uniformly convivial, accommodating and helpful with exception of an encounter with the night manager (more on that later). Only one low voltage outlet in the bathroom was provided that could power an electric razor. My daughter brought a dual-voltage curling iron and hair straightener that could not be used in the bathroom due to lack of an electrical outlet. Staff ultimately provided an extension cord to be strung from the nightstand, and over the bed that my daughter was able to use to reach a wall mirror in the bedroom. We had the misfortune to be at the property during the annual Pride celebration at Place de la Republique directly in front of the hotel. My wife has mobility issues and we had to push through hundreds of drunken celebrants to get to the only entrance to the hotel. Scary stuff getting pushed along by a mob where my wife could have fallen and been trampled. I understand the Pride celebration is a public event but its a scheduled event that the hotel could have alerted clients to and made provisions to have opened a guarded entrance on the backside of the building away from the inebriated mob. With an early morning departure to the airport, I went to the desk the night before to check out so we could leave quickly the following morning. The front desk clerk advised that the hotel had my card on file and my e-mail address so they would send me the bill thereafter with nothing additionally to be done the next morning - just drop the key and run. As we were leaving early the next morning the night manager told me that I couldn't leave because I hadn't settled my bill. He inferred I was skipping out without paying the bill. I recounted the discussion I had the previous night and he repeated firmly that the bill needed to be closed out before we could leave. It was an uncomfortable encounter that was unnecessary. Somebody needs training here and its not the client. In summary, I'd say this property lacked many expected elements for the price point and as such could only describe it as providing moderate value. The lack of provisions to accommodate client access during the Pride celebration and the check-out snafu made it seem that they were somehow new to the game.

NH Paris Gare de L Est

The location is right at the Gare L’Est. It is very convenient. You can go to a lot of tourist places without changing lines. The only drawbacks are the cleanliness. Sometimes there is hair in the towel. The carpets have some stains and grey. The best of all is the buffet breakfast. It is the most delicious breakfast among the hotels we stayed.
Ibis Paris Gare de l'Est TGV

Hotel location is very good, I have to transfer, so I chose here, basically no service, the room is super small, no kettle, no water, basically only the bed and the bathroom. The waiter was very indifferent and owed him the same money. I won't live in the future.
Grand Hotel de l'Europe

My famiie and now quite a few in our circle of friends, have used this cozy old and extremely well located hotel for over 35 years. The hotel contains small very simple rooms with private bathroom as well as sensible beds and closet, desk, chair and TV. The staff have been here for many years and are super helpful. In the basement there is a cozy and nice place for the typical simple Parisian breakfast with completely fresh barguette and croisant, which is picked up completely fresh from the baker who is next door. For this coffee / tea and juice. The Gare d'el Est Metro is located right next to the hotel. Just behind the hotel you will find the very cozy Canal saint Martin with locks and canal speed. Since you live super centrally - the traffic is heard of course. Therefore, rooms on the upper floors are preferable. Here the city skyline can be seen with both the Eifel Tower and Sarcre Ceur from the top floor.
Hotel Modern Est

I was travelling from the UK to Germany and needed to stay the night in Paris so I booked a room at Hotel Modern'Est. I chose this hotel due to its location as I was travelling from Gare De L'Est to Germany. I arrived in Paris early afternoon and went to the hotel to check in as this was available from 2pm so I dropped off my baggage at the hotel. My room was really nice with a double bed and a decent sized bathroom. It also looked out onto the Boulevard de Strasbourg and I could see Gare De L'Est from my window. Once checked in and settled I hit the city and had a great time exploring. I got back late at night. There is a member of staff on the door and he gave me my card to get back into my room. I was a bit worried in case there would be alot of noise from outside but this was not the case in the end and I was not disturbed. I had a comfortable night's sleep and used the facilities. The shower was very powerful and refreshing. I had paid for breakfast for 9 Euros and this was fairly decent. Cereal along with bread rolls, cheese, ham, pain au chocolat, yoghurt and drinks. Overall I was very impressed with my stay and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

If there is any possibility to give this hotel a minus rating I would have done that. It's a place which should never be your choice of stay even if all other places at Paris are full. We stayed here as part of our vacation and some one stole our bag right from hotel reception counter. This bag had my passport along with cash, cards etc. I immediately contacted the guy at reception to show me the camera which was placed right above the place where my bag was kept and he point blank refused to show me video recording and despite requesting multiple times these guys did not support us at all in difficult time. I am sure the hotel staff were hand in glove with one who stole our bag. Rooms, food, walkways are all absolutely horrible so please do not book this hotel even it's the last place left. Room given to us had absolutely no place to walk or even open our luggage. These guys are going to turn your holiday into a nightmare. Imagine you go on a holiday and end up loosing your valuables and hotel simply washing their hands off any kind of responsibility what's so ever. Horrible is the word.
Ibis Paris Gare de L Est 10 EME

The hotel is very close to the railway station Gare de l'est. Another busy railway station, Gare du Nord for international train like Thalys and Eurostar is accessible by foot and via Metro. There is plenty of bus and Metro routes at your door step and Accor Group has 5 Ibis and one Mercure Hotels in the same vicinity that are not very pricy and cater to variety of customer needs and options. Late check out is also possible and is not very expensive. A lot of multicultural restaurants are located in the area and if you want to go to city center Metro station and bus stops are there as well. Cheap food all around the area and a lot of bars. I hope you will enjoy.
