Superb location, and located just above the Nankai Namba station, accessible to most rail lines from the underground. Rooms were considered big for a Japan hotel and service were excellent. Staff were highly professional, friendly and reliable. However, to note that if you wish to use the spa facilities (hot bath and sauna), you will need to get at least a Swiss Select room or higher (executive, suite etc). Otherwise, will need to pay 2200 yen per pax/day for use of the spa facilities. (Suggest for hotel to consider to put the information on their website). For breakfast, we were given an option to buy the breakfast at 20% discount, but will need to book 1 day in advance from hotel lobby. Truly enjoyed our stay and will be back.

The hotel is right next to the Namba Parks Shopping mall. For those who opted to use the Nankai Rapid Train can reach the hotel within an hour from the KIX station, if the queue for buying the train tickets is not too long. From train station, it was simply a 5 to 10min max if with big luggage. Around 10 walk to the nearest Namba Metro Station, or 15 min if you choose to use the Hanshin train line for Kobe or Kintetsu line for Nara as the two train lines shared a common station. The room is spacious for Japanese standards but could be bigger in reality for two people to open both luggages at the same time. It’s good that they have designed the toilet area into three separate spaces, so each space can be utilise by a person at a time without crossing the other’s path. Overall, well recommended for everyone who wants to stay in Namba area, and the staff checking in and out for us was the same person with a super nice and welcoming attitude. Such a good memory to remember.

Friendly staff. We had our daily breakfast at the hotel. There was a good variety of different cuisines. Hlad that we had purchased this with our package. Excellent location for us... bascially we were out to different tourist attractions during the day, then returned to Nambo area late in the evening, there was an undergroud walkway with many resturants, *****tores and a big supermarket (which can do immediate tax refund). Highly recommend this hotel . Btw, we took the airport shuttle bus which was directly located beside this hotel. There is a specail passage which goes directly from the hotel to the nambo OCT .

Centurion Hotel in Namba is a quaint boutique hotel that's at the center on the action in the Namba area in Osaka. It's very near 3 subway stations. Very convenient for JR pass users, too! There's practically Family Mart outlets around the hotel (about 2-5 min walk) plus an Aeon supermarket at the end of the street. Our daughter got a bit sick (stomach ache) and they took the extra mile to find the nearest hospital. Though the cold pack worked (no need for a hospital), their service was family-like. Breakfast is continental. Good for people like me. :) You can leave your luggages upon 11am checkout. Will recommend and come back to this hotel!

Osaka was our first stop for our four-week holiday in Japan. We chose this hotel for it's convenient walking-distance location to Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi, plus the easy access to train stations. On arrival to Osaka unfortunately one of our pieces of luggage was lost in transit due to airline error. When we arrive at Hotel Kanade we informed the staff of the situation and they were very kind to help us follow up with the airport staff the following day. The staff were so happy when they could notify us that our luggage had arrived in the lobby! We felt that the staff were really helpful and friendly and did their absolute best to speak fluent English with us (we tried using our basic Japanese skills and they were very supportive of us trying). Thank you so much for making our first stop in Japan a great one. The room was neat and tidy albeit smaller than what we're used to in Australia. However, it had everything we needed and we were comfortable during our stay. My favourite part of the hotel was the lovely open-air onsen area (female and male onsen were separate). It was a surreal experience to relax in the onsen and hear the background thrum of city life in the crisp night air. We had a bit of a misunderstanding regarding the attire for the onsen - we wore the pyjamas provided in the room because we didn't realise that the staff provide special robes for the sauna and onsen! Hopefully we didn't offend anyone with our mistake! There were plenty of restaurants within walking distance and we also visited a laundromat (it was a reasonable walk but not too bad - we found a great Indian restaurant on the way too) during our stay. Highly recommend this hotel! Thank you for the great experience!

It's a 10-minute walk to Namba and a 6-minute walk to a large supermarket. It's nice and quiet. Bicycles can be rented for 30 minutes. Coffee is free. The downside is that there is only one elevator.

It was good to be close to the station, but the location was difficult to understand. It was new and clean. The room was double in an ordinary business type but narrow. I was glad that there was a sofa. The lounge was suspended for drinks. There was no explanation at check-in and it was a waste of feet.

My usual stay in Osaka due to its location. I actually booked the wrong hotel (Sotetsu Grand Fresca Namba) using my membership so do take note of it. Was grateful that the manager and staff help me out with the check in as we two girls were utterly worn out from the long lugging with heavy luggages More than 15 mins walk from Namba JR station which could be challenging as the road was uneven and tons for traffic lights. Highly recommended if you have luggages, to take the subway from Shin Osaka (a total breeze of about 5 mins with 1 crossing) instead of trying to save via JR pass like myself on 2 trips. #pennywisepoundfoolish We took a bigger double bed as my previous double bed was too small for two.

I booked a King room as a Marriott gold elite member. I checked the app the day before check in and noted I was upgraded to a superior room. Unfortunately on the day of check in I was downgraded back to the standard room. While this was very disappointing this is more a problem with Marriott’s system and not the hotel so I won’t fault the location for this. Check in was easy and staff spoke English. Status was unfortunately not acknowledged. The room was nice with a soft bed that suits western visitors more than most Japanese hotels. As you might note from the official pictures the room has an interesting layout where the sink is integrated into the room facing towards the bed. Perhaps because of this layout the room feels bigger than the typical business hotels you find in Japan. There is a restaurant as well as laundry service and coin washers and dryers which was appreciated for my extended stay. There is also a FamilyMart down the street however you’re in Osaka I’d recommend just eating at the many great places in Dotombori. Namba station and Dotombori are walking distance from the hotel. I would gladly recommend this hotel for anyone sightseeing in the area or southern Osaka. The price is excellent and while it may be marginally more than some of the local business hotels the product is worth it.

The price is low. For single occupancy, it can be used as a cheap alternative to Wanfeng nearby. For meals, there is a 7-11 across the road. Very nice & new hotel. Stay here for two nights. The hotel allowed checked in early at 12pm for JPY 1,000 per hour which was great as we landed Kansai airport early in the morning. I spent 1 night in a single room at the Dotonbori hotel for which I paid just 7150 Yen. The room was tiny even by Japanese standards (the only place I could fully open out my suitcase was on the bed). The ”pod” bathroom (a bit like a ferry cabin or some Ibis chain hotel bathrooms) was a little tired, and I suspect the carpets may have been fitted when the hotel was built), but the range of included services and snacks, and helpful staff made up for it. Slightly odd nightwear in the room - not a proper yukata, a sort of odd cross between a nightshirt and overgrown baseball shirt with buttons down the front, as well as (of course) slippers! The usual range of toiletries, toothbrush etc in the bathroom. Having done an evening Osaka tour, I arrived too late for the free ice cream and beer, but claimed one of the last free ramen pots in reception in the evening. The lounge area felt more like a convivial hostel lounge than a ”just sit here until my taxi arrives” posh hotel lounge - no bad thing! Tea was also available. I'd completely forgotten my room rate included breakfast, and was very pleasantly surprised by the wide selection of food the following morning. While there were cakes, pastries and western-ish hot food (scrambled eggs, some sort of sausage, even a pasta dish) I went for the Japanese breakfast options including grilled fish, rice, miso and 2 helpings of the delicious asparagus in sesame sauce. There were pickles, noodles, even sushi if you wanted. The next morning after checking out I was able to leave my suitcase with the reception staff while sightseeing in Osaka, rather than having to pay for a locker at the station, and picked it up before heading to the station. A budget hotel providing better services than many more upmarket options, in buzzing Dotonbori.

Free towels are provided, in the library, slippers, toothpaste toothbrush, skin care products, hairstyle products ... There are coin-operated washing machines, dryers free coffee, green tea, drinking water check-in Time is 17:00, it is relatively poor, many other hotels 15: 00 can be checked in. Please note (privacy & security concern) for a continuous stay for more than one night, the locker will be ”opened” every day when the library is cleaned, and put in a net bag with a large and small towel + inside the library + toothpaste toothbrush.
