Hotel Monte Carlo Ocean City

We had stayed at 3rd St city location from 10/20/23 - 10/22/23 - our experience will not have us returning. To start we called to ask if we could get a parking pass for prior to check in, no issue there. When we arrived the desk clerk said our room was ready if we just wanted to go in early. Sounded good, however she then tell us, after checking in that there was a $25 early check in fee. She never mentioned that prior and sort of left us stuck for it, as at this point by husband was already bringing in our things. (misleading). We got to the room and unload and the tv didn't turn on and the hall smelled horrible of ****. We called to the desk. A man came up quickly (good thing) and sprayed the hall and found the remote was bad for the tv. He turned on the tv and there were 2 lines going from top to bottom. We pointed it out and he shrugged his shoulders and left. So tv was crappy the entire time. The pictures on the walls were all gross and dirty, as well as the windows. There was also gross random splatter on the walls randomly. The shower - squeeled super loud and the hot tub...useless...took about an hour to fill and then the jets weren't working right, included one that was completely broken and shot water all over the place. On top of all that, we had to go down to the desk as they didn't leave wash clothes or hand towels. Oh - the fridge - had a piece broken on the inside and didn't work. Overall - horrible experience. The front desk person was unfriendly and short. There was no hand soap in the bathroom and the body wash container was empty so we had no means to wash our hands after using the toilet. The parking lot was across the street which would have fine except for the flooding on the side of the road which caused you to get splashed from the cars driving.

Hotel rooms are very spacious but the room need some maintenance. Hotel do not have a rooftop pool and 5th and 6th floors are closed. Game room was not open. Overall we felt safe and the boardwalk was a 5 minute walk.

I saw mixed reviews on here so I was hesitant to book but I’m glad I did. The hotel was very clean and very convenient. It’s right off the boardwalk & our room had a balcony and jetted tub. we did stay off season so I’m not sure how it is during peak season but I would stay here again. Roof top pool/hot tub. as well as an indoor pool. Jackie was very helpful our first night there!

We had a great time and would definitely start here again. It's so close to everything but yet far enough so you have your space. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here in fact I tried and the hotel, (for the type of room and what I'm willing to pay) are already booked so we'll try again next year

The hotel was nice and very conveniently located. The room was clean. The room was stocked with plenty of towels and wash clothes, which were very good quality and extra soft. I didn't like that the parking was across the street for the hotel, I didn't know that when I booked the room.

Close to where we wanted to go. clean,friendly sraff always willing to help. all and all a very nice place to stay.

Nice property when we walked in the room smelled like urine for some reason I addressed this issue as I walked in they wanted a 50 dollars if there is any damage … she said you will get this back when you leave I said don’t wanna be a problem if you think we did it they fixed the issue right away went on the board walk the older lady was nice about it.. the girl at nite after she stated she was going to leave by 11 on Monday nite however the girl after her was rude and I asked a question said she didn’t know and that I’m new

Bathrooms need little updating and the ceilings had mold. Other than that beds tv balcony all great. Elevator can be an issue if it's really crowded. I also stay at the newer Monte Carlo on 11th
