The daily amenity fee is 39.9 US dollars including tax, which must be paid. Drinks and food can be consumed in the minibar for no more than 25 US dollars. The problem is that a 750ml bottle of Evian is 16 US dollars, so I only saw this fee in this American hotel, which is very bad! The phone service was extremely slow to respond, not at all Intercontinental service standards. There are also random deductions from the credit card deposit, and one extra person's breakfast fee. I only said to apologize when I went to find it in person, and said that it would take 5 working days to return the same way. So this InterContinental is not recommended at all in New York! !

Refinery is first of all a good location. It ’s convenient to go to Broadway to watch a show or to go to midtown. The nearby Bryant Park has my favorite breakfast shop. West 40th Street has good Spanish food. Michelin ’s chef ’s table is the highest in the world at West 39. Street ... you can understand so much. In fact, the room facilities are just like that. In contrast, I prefer their hotel public facilities and bathrooms. Their rooftop is a relatively popular restaurant with nice night views.

Stayed here with a family in October 2022. The room size is generous by Manhattan standards, and we were able to see the Chrysler Building from our window. The room and the hotel in general are clean and well-maintained. The reception staff was friendly and courteous, quickly resolving a few minor issues for us. The breakfast variety is good, although it may be a bit crowded a little later in the morning. The elevators are fast, although sometimes you may have to wait a bit for them to arrive. The location is great for your general NYC tourist destinations. Nothing negative to say about this place, if the price is right, you are not likely to regret your choice.

Great location. But the service standards absolutely disappointed. In room telephone was not working and despite repeated complaints it was not repaired through my stay of 4 nights. So basically we had to go down all the way to reception every time we wanted something at the room. From toiletries to food to water. Even the front desk as well as the duty manager simply expressed inability to do anything about it Initially even some of the lights in the room were not working. Clearly one of the worst stays of my life at a big brand hotel All in all a big disappointment

Very convenient location, room is sparkling clean and has everything you need (if not, housekeeping will bring to you). Room is a bit dark and it will be nice to have more lights, but since mine was on high floor it was ok when I opened the curtain. Friendliness is so-so, but not particularly unfriendly either. The hotel doesn’t seem to have any other facility like gym, pool or even a restaurant, but you can make your coffee and cocoa at lobby for free. There’s a small lovely balcony at the lobby as well. Overall happy with stay and will come back if I have chance.

”Hip” and ”boutique” has become a metaphor for dirty and unclean. The ”hotel room” was bare bones, dirty, with previous guests used personal toys left behind end tables. The small kitchen was barely usable - no under cabinet lighting, no dishwasher, small fridge, coffee maker dirty and unclean, same for the broken toaster, no dishwashing soap for even the small amount of utensils and glassware. No effort was made to clean underneath the bed; the bed itself sagged. The room view is into tenement like housing (if I wanted a West Side Story experience, I would go to the theater rather than pay for this cheap ...calling it a hotel is a stretch). The balcony is a joke (at worse a hazard (make sure the balcony door is locked.) The corner space between the top mattress and boxspring was dirty, crumbs, dust, etc - clearly had not been vacuumed or cleaned since the Roosevelt administration. Wi-Fi is subpar. Another effort by a non-corporate hospitality company (or whoever owns this dump) to milk tourists who come to New York by renovating whatever this building used to be into a sub standard ”hotel” rooms and skating by on ”location.”

Amazing hotel in the best area , close to everything . Hotel itself clean , cute cozy. Room is very decent, we see the Empire State from our room , breakfast has hot and cold stuff and to go food if you want for a snack , I loved their coffee. People from reception, breakfast team, housekeeping are decent , helpful and working hard. They hv a cozy cute table downstairs for a drink or the 26th floor which is the top notch to see NY and direct to the Empire State. My only recommendation pls do a deep clean for the carpet in z rooms as we noted stains . I def recommended and will go there again and again

I really writing this to that one of the Best Front Desk staffs around -my special thanks to Maria,Cassandra,Fiona & Milanka _ they were outstanding and understanding when our circumstances were problematical at best. Thank you ladies and entire staff. I strongly recommend this hotel and give it Five Stars - had a beautiful corner King Room on the 26th Floor. My wife and I will return on our next trip to NYC. I was wrong to underestimate this hotel because of the reviews from other hotels in NYC. Aside from the lack of microwave in the room & only 2-out-of-3 working 4-5ppl elevators, this hotel is pretty great! The room is enough for my girlfriend & I. Cozy bed, nice shower, wide bathtub, coffee maker & a mini fridge. Amazing location near bus stops (one just in front of the hotel), subway & CVS on the next block. Only 5min walk to Chrysler Building & around 8min walk to Grand Central Terminal! Most importantly, the hotel is reasonably priced for a nice NYC hotel. Good customer service (shoutouts to Nestor!) & excellent housekeeping! They cleaned our room & fixed our bed every single day! & there's a bar downstairs which also serves Starbucks. I recommend! Will sure consider coming back when I visit NYC again.✌🏼

I read a lot of comments and chose this hotel. I really didn't choose the wrong one. The location is very good, whether it is a long-distance bus or subway, or take the airport bus to the airport, or want to go to the Grand Central Railway Station, very close. . .
