Times Square Edition New York

Times Square New York|0.68km from New York Public Library - Stephen A. Schwarzman Building
The first thing I will mention is that the hotel is 5 star and is expectedly, very expensive, being in the heart of Times Square. I took this into account when writing my review. If I am paying that much, my expectations would be higher than normal. I stayed for 12 nights over the Christmas and NY period so I obtained a very comprehensive view of the hotel and everything about it. Overall it was a very comfortable stay and the staff were always there to attend to any requests and issues. The moment I got out of my transfer car, there was a lovely young gentleman waiting to get all my bags and transport me upstairs to the reception. The check-in was reasonably flawless but there was a bit of confusion around the payment because of resort fees the hotel charges daily. I prepaid my booking and there was confusion over whether it included or excluded the resort fee. The reception area is immaculately presented and the bar and restaurant are both located here. I intended to use the gym during my stay, but didn't have time to even take a peek. Nor did I visit the bar or restaurant. There's way too many options outside to do that. The very polite and courteous young gentleman then took me up to my room. He showed me everything and away he went. I got a bit of a room upgrade which I highly appreciated and had a beautiful view of Times Square. I was on the 2nd highest floor, floor 39. The room is not big. It was adequate for one person but nothing more. I don't think I would be able to stay here if I was with another person. It would be too uncomfortable and I had to find space for my 2 suitcases and carry-on. The bathroom is open plan, with a door for the shower and toilet. A big problem I had in my room was that if it was windy you will hear a loud whistle coming through the bottom of the front door. It really annoyed me. I had to take the cover off the bed and make a snake shape to block the gap underneath the door to stop the noise. Even a bath towel didn't work. They need to fix this. The hotel is very new and the rooms are very beautifully equipped, presented and maintained. I was pleased to see that most of the things I requested before I arrived (some extra bath mats, bath towels, hand towels, face towels, mini fridge, bathroom scale) were mostly there upon arrival. I quantified the number of towels I needed as I was not getting any housekeeping during my 12 night stay but I did not get the quantity requested. I expected a bit more attention to detail for a 5 star hotel. Before I arrived I was asked if I was celebrating a special occasion and Guest Services pushed up my expectations as I was celebrating a special occassion and they said something nice, I assume maybe a cake or some alcohol would be waiting for me in the room. When I arrived there was nothing. And there was never going to be anything throughout my stay. I didn't mind and only remembered towards the end of the stay. When I enquired via email I was met with silence. They

We stayed here recently to watch the Padres play the Yankees. To the Grayson Hotel management - Jasmine is the Aaron Judge of customer service, so you should do everything you can to make sure she stays on your team for the foreseeable future. She was friendly, hospitable, accommodating, and took care of all our needs to make sure we had the ideal experience. And she was able to do all of this during Memorial Day weekend while the staff was extremely busy. A big thanks to Jasmine and the rest of the staff for going above and beyond! The rooms are on the small side, but still practical, and provide really all you need when your time should be spent out and about in the city. The AC worked well and the AC fan when turned on high provided helpful white noise. The room was surprisingly quiet given the location - we heard very little outside noise from cars, sirens or other. There was also very little noise from the hallway or other rooms, and we had a connecting room (we were told non-connecting rooms are unavailable for doubles). The beds are still fairly new and supportive, and a nice variety of pillows were provided. Shower pressure and temperature was good. We had dinner in the restaurant and the wild mushroom risotto was a very nice surprise - it was as good as the pasta I've had in some of the nicer Italian restaurants in NYC. I would stay here again, but if I intended to work in the room, would make sure to get a room with a desk.

Hotel Hendricks

£1100 GDP booked for 4 nights - Reviews were questionable as each to everyone’s opinion, the outset easily located and within walking distance to many attractions. The face value looked warm and inviting - The Foyer very dark and gloomy as are the concierge at front desk. The room small and very dark with no view other than another tower block. Although the room was clean and tidy - No refills of toiletries and the refrigerator / bar no drinks or fresh water. The roof top bar is rented out and is way over priced 1 x glass of wine & 1 x glass of Jack Daniels and cola $50 total rip off! The downstairs bar reasonably priced but no service had to wait 40 minutes and repeatedly ask for our drinks, the outside sitting area part of the hotel has no security or anything to stop wandering homeless people asking for $$$ Concierge on leaving young pregnant woman extremely rude, unhelpful and miserable Brian on the other hand couldn’t do enough for you my advise to him go and work for a different hotel to be appreciated The Bar Manager a camp chap stood in front of us asking if we were dissatisfied with the service as we hadn’t tipped between 17-20% It’s our prerogative if we choose to tip! Due to his arrogance and rudeness I’ve down graded the review if he was an employee of my company I’d fire him on the spot! Hotels are a cut throat business and it’s within the staff to create a welcoming environment and ambiance for customers to spend money at the hotel and for repeat business, clearly this dirty unshaven crumpled shirt and suit bar manager is certainly not the face of Hotel Hendricks. The Photos on there website are professionally done creating a lot of light they are far from the truth, our door number was partly exposed as part of it was missing! It’s a pity as this hotel with some improvements and change in staff and management could do very well. On return we won’t choose to stay I’ll pick a much larger chain or a boutique hotel with excellent reviews

I read a lot of comments and chose this hotel. I really didn't choose the wrong one. The location is very good, whether it is a long-distance bus or subway, or take the airport bus to the airport, or want to go to the Grand Central Railway Station, very close. . . There is also Times Square. . . At the intersection of 41st Street and Madison Avenue, the door is small, mainly the name on the door is written in a special font, which made us not notice when we first went there. 200 meters away from the New York City Public Library, which is not 200 meters away from Fifth Avenue, it is not necessary. There are three types of rooms in the hotel, which are about 19, 25, and 33 square meters, and 19 is relatively small. I booked 25 for the second night, but the order information sent by Ctrip to the hotel was wrong. The first night I checked in was the 19 room. It was very late to react. The size of the room was wrong. I coordinated with the front desk and Ctrip. Ctrip immediately found the problem and made compensation, and moved to the largest room of 33 the next day. If it is a single person, the room of 19 is enough. For two people, the baggage can't be opened, and it can only be put to the bedside. In addition, in particular, after the store, the hotel charges a fee of 20 US dollars per day. This fee is breakfast, all-day coffee snacks, afternoon tea, which is very worthwhile. Especially afternoon tea, with cheese, fruit, a variety of small snacks, red and white wine and champagne. . . . In addition, this location is on 41st Street, when the 99th Street in Central Park in New York is basically a full 2km. I ran in the morning and ran another 10km in Central Park. I am very happy. Central Park is a must-see for everyone who loves sports. Running, cycling, and dog-walking are all very good. . .

I felt very small when I first entered the room, but it was strange. The experience was getting better and better. The room was really small, but the details were very good. The system is also more advanced than most hotels in the United States, and the air-conditioning panel has strong feedback, but the only thing I feel a little regret is that even in the premium room, the bed is only Queen size. But intimately, the sofa next to it can be adjusted into a single sofa bed. Location Needless to say, Fifth Avenue and Bryant Park are convenient for going to Manhattan. The hotel is new and the staff at the front desk looks superb. Ask a question, the number of hotel rooms should be large, breakfast needs to be lined up, the elevator needs to wait for a while, and the hotel facilities need to be improved. If you are very concerned about the size of the room, you don't need to choose this hotel. The 32 square meters mentioned by Ctrip does not exist at all. There is no introduction of square meters on their own website. I don't know where Ctrip's 32 square meters come from, which is false information. Summary: small, exquisite, new, good location; Ctrip and Ctrip's agents are very unreliable! !! !!

Hotel location is very good. Just on Fifth Avenue Suite is large with terrace. Suitable for families. Dishwasher Microwave No breakfast. The front desk is small. No parking. The sofa can actually be used as a bed. The suite feels 6 people are fine.

Had a fabulous 5 night stay at the Bryant Park Hotel, 2 adults, 2 teenager daughters. Received a lovely personal greeting from Siobhan and the team, informing us we had been upgraded. Oh what a lovely upgrade we had! Balloons, cards, notepads, chocolates, souvenirs and fizz!! The rooms were more than perfect for us! Both rooms looking over the lovely Bryant Park. Nice touch with Molton Brown toiletries and ear plugs. The hotel offered bottled water, fresh iced lemon water, coffee and muffins. All greatly received. The location is great with Bryant Park opposite. Really central to all attractions and subways. Will definitely return. Thank you Thank you Thank you xx

A typical average Marriott should get a typical average rating, but the staff at this hotel raises the rating. The average staff member has been at this hotel more than 20 years, and their experience shows. This good, solid, clean, hospitable hotel is popular with families and tourists. Nice and quiet. Do not expect any sort of view, unless you like looking into other people's apartments across the alley. Better location than I expected; easy bus route and subway access. Do NOT drive your car into Manhattan if you can avoid it. I could not avoid it. There is no place to park while registering, other than curbside. I double-parked, ran inside and let the valet deal with the gigantic dump truck stuck behind me honking his horn. Just pay the extra money and let the valet deal with your car. Tipping is appropriate, but the staff is not snobby about it and I had to run after the valet to hand him $10.
