Where do I start!? So seriously I love this hotel for many reasons and a little put off for small reasons. Good: On our first day checking in me and my partner were totally horribly burnt out and you can see it.... The person checking us in "Chantel" was her name.... Pure gold. She was super kind, friendly, accommodating and definitely had awareness of the situation which is crucial for a client facing role like hers. Location: If you like to walk the location is awesome and we picked it partly for this reason. It's smacked in the middle of anywhere you want to be in NYC, so most Lyft or Uber fairs were from $12-$30 to most anywhere around the city if you don't take the subway. Design: If nothing else The Redburry has awesome style and design is well thought out. I loved it. Not so good: The first room we got the first didn't even have space for the suitcases... the bathroom was literally bigger than the sleeping space..... We upgraded to a Deluxe for the next 7 days. There were small things missing in rooms of a hotel of that caliber that were off putting.... Since I don't like to bother people even if I am paying this was a bit a fuss to have to go down or call room service for slippers, Tooth brush/paste, water.... hotel water.... There was also an added amenities fee if I'm not mistaken but.... I felt there were little to no amenities for this. Staff: Like I said before "Chantel" was a godsend and the fact that it's the only name I remember says a lot ha.... I'd say 90% of the experience with the staff was brilliant and lovely. There was one particular staff member that was not so friendly and made a fuss about us asking for water.... (Note we were staying at this hotel 8 days consecutively)... This attitude I'd expect from a motel or a 7 Days in, but not a Chelsea $200-300night hotel... On that note please put Kettles in the room guys.... Atleast the Deluxe rooms should already have basic things already in the room like I mentioned earlier. Overall I'd say I had a great experience with a few small bumps but it's expected after staying so.many days right? For 1-2 days I'd definitely stay again, but I need to stay for s week or longer I'd suggest staying somewhere else if you don't want to bother staff for small things over and over. Great experience overall!
