Fairmont Nanjing

We were trying out the Fairmont brand for the first time, as it is out of our price range in Shanghai, and it was really an awesome experience. We were met kindly at the reception on the ground floor and not only led up to the reception, but all the way up to check in at the Executive Lounge, and then to our room by the same friendly member of staff. I have forgotten his name after a month, but luckily mentioned it to the manager at the time. We were upgraded from a regular exec room to a two bathroom suite with large lounge area, great bedroom with huge tv, separate dressing area and cupboards, heated floor and lovely bath area in the main bathroom, excellent standard of fixtures, and just a truly luxurious feel. I felt a little like an influencer trying out the best in the city, and had to take a video and send to friends just to show them. Did I mention that all of this was looking out on a great view of the Chang Jiang from the 60th floor, and that the TV had a named and personal greeting for us when we turned it on. It was a truly great New Year experience. We are not much with using facilities, but we did have breakfast for a few days, and the choice is vast. As a brit, I was thrilled to find that they had one of my local sauces that I love to have with breakfast, but is not even available to buy in China in most places (HP). There were stations set up all around the restaurant in a square that goes all around the building, with a great view, and although the stations were a little too far apart for a breakfast collection stroll, the staff offered to bring things to us, looked after us, and were super courteous. The Executive lounge was also an excellent place to stay for dinner. Henry and Flora in the lounge made every interaction really pleasant, and their professionalism shone through. The lounge ladies did their best to speak some English, and looked after us really well, and the quality of alcohol and food was excellent. The lounge was virtually empty most of the time, but the spread was still extensive, and it really all added up to a top class experience. Little did the lounge and hotel staff know but we have stayed in a great deal of Exec lounge rooms now in the last few years of being stuck in China, and this one came out near the top, and definitely beat the high end Marriott hotels that we have been spending a lot of time in. Even the Hotel manager came to speak to us personally and check on our stay. The Fairmont was true quality service, which is surprisingly rare to get in China, and they should be on everyone's shortlist who wants a touch of class in Nanjing.

Nanjing Yebo Qinhuai Zunjing College Hotel

Confucius Temple/Qinhuai River Scenic Area Nanjing|0.14km from Confucius Temple
I traveled by car in January and stayed in many hotels. This was the only hotel where I stayed for 2 consecutive days. Firstly, there are so many attractions to visit in Nanjing. Secondly, the hotel far exceeded expectations. Let me start with the conclusion: highly recommended. Let’s talk about the reasons for recommendation from several perspectives. 1. Hygiene: It is visibly clean, and there is not a trace of dust on the floor and carpet. My baby who is less than 1 year old crawls around freely, and when I go back to wash her hands and face, there is almost nothing black. The bathroom cabinet glass was spotless and the room didn't have any odor, which is very rare in hotels I've stayed in recently. You can use the towels and bathrobes with confidence, it’s a great experience! 2. Service: Needless to say, all hotel services now are first-class. It may be related to the general environment. The cultural and tourism industry is not easy to do, so we pay special attention to humanistic care. One detail is that my sister booked a room for her 2-and-a-half-year-old baby, and the housekeeper gave her an extra pair of children's slippers. Service is management. It can be seen that the hotel has also put in efforts in training. I don't understand why such a thoughtful hotel still has people give negative reviews. Has your head been caught in the door? 3. Hardware and facilities: Very modern decoration, a business-oriented hotel. Although it is different from modern luxury hotels, it is not inferior at all, and it is not inconsistent with families and children. Bathrooms, etc. are almost all from big brands and of good quality. Although the double bed room I booked is very small, the bathroom is very spacious and the shower room is larger than those at home. Although the sparrow is small, it has all five internal organs and its functions are fully satisfied. The refrigerator, drinks, tea sets, etc. in the room are a plus, better than many Ctrip five-star hotels. 5. Environment and location: Not to mention, it only takes 2-3 minutes to walk to the Confucius Temple and the Qinhuai River boat boarding area. The location is quite advantageous. There is a small restaurant directly opposite the hotel. The food is 40 yuan per person. It is really awesome. There is a time-honored restaurant 200 meters away from the hotel. Dongpo meat, glutinous eel, and Qinhuai eight specialties are all great. The prices here are much lower than in Guangdong. Summary: A great stay experience, worthy of five-star praise and recommendation. Dear friends, please rest assured, it is worth repurchasing!

Zhuangyuan Inn

Confucius Temple/Qinhuai River Scenic Area Nanjing|0.21km from Confucius Temple
Features: 1. The location is great, not far from Metro Station No. 3, and there is a large parking lot at the door. Self-driving is also convenient. Personally, self-driving is not recommended, because Nanjing is too traffic jam and the parking fee is expensive, and the subway is very convenient and fast. It is not far from the Confucius Temple, Zhanyuan Garden, Qinhuai River, Laomen East, Zhonghua Gate Scenic Area, and it is also convenient to take the subway to Zhongshan Scenic Area. 2. The breakfast is very good. Although we ordered the champion station at the back, which is not the same level as the champion hotel, the breakfast is the same, 5-star standard, too rich and delicious, and the snacks taste no better than the outside The difference is that I have the strength to go out and swim if I have enough food every day. 3. The service is very good. Every staff member is warm and thoughtful. The room distributes 2 bottles of mineral water. The key is slippers, which is the quality of a star hotel. 4. The environment is also very good, the Confucius Temple scenic area, quiet in the noisy, very good for a quiet rest at night. 5. The quilt is not wet. Many people commented on this issue before, which made me entangled. Fortunately, I decided to choose the champion station. Disadvantages: 1. The shortcoming of beauty is that the bath water is hot or quite hot, and the amount of water will be enough, that is, pressure. It’s too small to wash long hair a bit hard. 2. There is no switch for the ventilating fan in the bathroom. I asked the front desk and said it was a unified switch. Later, I lived in another hotel in Nanjing, too. There was a ventilating fan, but I didn't find the switch. I guess it's the same here.

The room configuration is very complete 😊😊😊😊😊😊 very quiet and comfortable, the hot water water pressure is very low, the bath is very uncomfortable, I hope to improve. The bedside position should be placed on the bedside table, mobile phone charging can be placed on the bed or away from yourself 😔. I heard from the landlord that the parking lot has not been delivered yet, so parking is not very convenient 😔😔😔!

I am particularly satisfied with this B&B. The entrance is very close to the subway, and the Confucius Temple is very close to the right when you exit the alley. All supplies are disposable, including towels and bath towels. The boss's service is also very enthusiastic. Excellent value for money. The only drawback is that the windows are a bit small and the lighting is average.
Orange Crystal Nanjing Jiangbei New District University of Technology Hotel
4.8/51176 Reviews
Jiangpu Tangquan Area
I watched a concert at the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing. After it was over, I didn’t have time to rush to Nanjing South Railway Station to return to Shanghai, so I searched for a hotel nearby. I took the subway for two stops to Nanjing University of Technology and walked for another 8 minutes to the hotel. Crystal Orange is a chain, and there are basically no problems with the hardware (occasionally some small areas are damaged, which is normal, and it is not a five-star hotel). There are no restaurants around the hotel, and there is a small supermarket downstairs. If you stay temporarily for one night, you only need instant noodles. That’s it. The front desk also upgraded the room type for free, which is more than 400 yuan, which is really good value for money. Also, I didn’t bring a charger, so the front desk helped me find an Apple charging cable, which is very user-friendly.

Yuhuatai Nanjing South Railway Station Area
It’s very convenient to take a taxi from the South Station for a while! There is also a place to eat nearby! The room is very clean and there is no smell! If you have questions, ask the landlord to answer quickly! If you go to Nanjing next time, you will still choose this homestay!
